Former congressional representative and 2024 Republican presidential candidate Will Hurd discusses his presidential campaign, the fragility of our democracy, and the way forward with Atlantic contributor and co-founder of The Texas Tribune Evan Smith. Following the conversation, National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan will discuss the Biden administration’s strategy to address domestic and global political violence that poses existential threats to the future of democracy.

1:00:21 There is no universe in which one can argue correctly that the world is more stable now under Biden than under Trump. Jake Sullivan has hewn his rhetoric to attempt to make such a case but just look around you. His rhetoric would be laughable if our global instability weren’t so precarious and tragic now.

56:00 His closing commentary on the withdrawal debacle in Afghanistan (that somehow made the US and world safer?) and the stability of the Israel/Palestine situation defies credulity. Sullivan seems balanced on some matters, but those last 15 mins are detached from reality, including his closing words on the Biden foreign policy doctrine that sounded like the thesis of a 101 poli-sci class paper (we want to affirm our interconnection, keep out of new wars, while engaging in the Ukraine/Russian conflict-holy logical contradictions Batman).

Seriously? Long time Clinton & Biden Lackey it was Jake Sullivan that was removing classified info from the sipernet & emailing it unsecured to Hillary. I seriously breached highly classified info but since he was working for the Queen FBI gave him & the rest of Hillary's gang a bye. Then after Trump won the 16 election it was Jake Sullivan working in concert with Hillary & attorneys to plant the hoax that Trump was colluding with Putin & Russia, that Trump was a Russian asset, even pushed the pee pee hoax. Now rewarded for his screw ups & long time Biden strap hanger as Nat Security Advisor its Jake Sullivan that like another mentor O'bama was making overtures to Iran, inviting Iran into the community of nations, the architect of JCPOA along with his best good buddy & anti Israel bigot Robert Malley, who is now under FBI investigation for ....what else? Security breaches & assisting pro Iranian fanatics with getting Govt jobs. Also it was Jake Sullivan that played a key role in siphoning off a weapons arsenal in Israel to send to Ukraine....ooops...kind of need those now.
