I appreciate your kind words, you see a lot of older Nigerian artists paid the price for the success of afrobeats today, most of them are still impoverished but they laid the foundation. Check out the old videos of diamond when he was singing in the style of Eastern African music style but immediately afrobeats blew he fraudulently rode on it because what he did is not sampling but daylight robbery. Afrobeats was born out of the zeal of Nigerians to listen to pop, hip-hop music in naija style and it took time for it to be acceptable in Nigeria first, after Nigerians accepted it in Nigeria the music then naturally traveled to where Nigerians are overseas, mainly UK and the USA. With the help of artists like Chris Brown and Kanye west who supported artists like dbanj and Mohits crew. The journey to the success of afrobeats is a long painful journey with some good naija artists falling by the way, so it's immoral to copy outrightly. The name afrobeats was used in London then to categorize all the music from naija and the name stuck. Just like reggae from Jamaica I see no problem with other people using the style but don't boldly plagiarize.

No, you're not Nigerian. Nigerians can hop on a genre like Amapiano or hip hop. They don't steal people's song. Anybody can do afrobeats; it's a genre. But when you steal someone's song (not sampling) and just changing the lyrics, that's where the problem is.

Remedies- mi o sako mo copied Michael Jackson's liberian girl beat. Wizkid's holla at "Yo Boi" track was lifted off the original track done by asian artist "SEVEN". "I Like Dem Girls..." Wizkid also stole some of the lyrics. If you have followed Nigerian Music Industry from the beginning and know much about good music, you won't come here to argue with me on this, Nigerian artist and even nollywood are good crafty copiers, they copy and transform it into their own songs here and it becomes a hint.

Listing a handful of unknown, isolated songs from the hundreds of music from the Nigerian Afrobeats catalog does not prove anything l. Try as you might, the Ghanian influence on Nigerian music is an illusion in the minds of Ghanaians.
