In all my many years of Biblcal O.T. studies this is the first time that I have ever heard of the Urim and Thummim lighting up. I always thought of only one stone being drawn out from the Breastplate and it would either be White or Black - Enlightenment or Judgement. Yes, or No.
David Lafleche How can you say this ? What is your reference? They are physical objects even if God used them to reply a supernatural way. The rod or staff of Moses was physical. But it was used a mighty way by the power of God. We do have today Urim and Thummim.

Please explain how you put something intangible inside the breastplate? Don’t fall in the trap of those who try to Interpret the Bible on adding a spiritual or littéral sticker every time they want to.

I have read they were 3 pointed stones, sealed in glass and encircled with silver...much like old fashion eyeglasses. Not sure how true this is but I am just asking. I never said those were Cowrie shells, you misunderstood me as I was merely showing a comparison bc theres an innumerable amount of things a person can use for divination. You mentioned Hebrews 1:1-2 saying no longer can a Christian or non Christian use it as an instrument for inquiry. That’s incorrect bc the Urim and Thummim was a white and black stone. Point is, Revelations 2:17 says “I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a (white stone), and in the (stone) a new name written.” Which further confirms divination and proves you’re wrong. In addition to that, since you mentioned Hebrews, read Hebrews 9:19 where it says “Moses took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people. Point is, that’s conjure and root work. In magick, the root hyssop is used as a cleansing herb, scarlet wool is the mojo bag and in all ancient cultures of divination they use the blood of animals, likewise so did Moses.. Lastly, Ifa predates the Bible by thousands of years and again, I only mentioned Ifa in first comment to show that its synonymous. The Urim and Thummim were indeed two stones apple sized each.... Later the were called the Holy Grail. Thummim had two colors, green and red. Green indicated ok, red, no....They disappeared and they were saved in a cage in Ethiopia. Now they appeared again and they were brought to Europe through Paris. A feature film has to be made using the message of Grail..... The Grail has only one message.... In a Nutshell...... its Divination ! The bible clearly references this on many occasions . Divination is kind of like taking a straw and the shortest one out of luck looses. Its a guessing game like truth or dare. A true prophet in the bible was always tested with his insight and many times a diviner would not want to give any information due to fear and chancing to get his head cut off by a king. Joseph interpreted two dreams and was put in charge of a Nation ! Gideon was tested by fighting a war that seemed impossible to Win! Daniel was put through a furnace and later in a Lyons den! On the other hand : Saul consulted Divination and Lost a Nation, only to give it to the next in Line : King David! Jesus became the King of Kings and Lord of Lords over all Nations and abolished the Ephod ,Urim and Thummim with his Sacrifice that the Old Testament could never accomplish! Amen!

Anything sanctioned by GOD is right. Not by your own interpretation but by Gods and Gods alone. You may not understand it, does not make it untrue. He did not condemn it.
I’m thankful we have God’s word to go by now where we don’t need an answer from a high priest like this. I don’t doubt that it was something like this though. Clearly the Urim and the Thummim had a biblical use in the Old Testament.
Wow, you're amazing. It's wonderful to learn I have access to wisdom such as you have. I have a thousand + questions but I'll just ask you one. In Judges 19:29 , a Levite cuts up his concubine and sends them into all the areas of Israel. Later, in 1st Samuel, 11:7, Saul does the same thing with oxen. It seems that this type of horrific gesture is needed to elicit emotion from Israelites at large. Is this because they're so used to death and slaughter, that nothing short of saif horrific act would move them to action? Asked more simply, why is the dismemberment of living things sent to all the areas of Israel a thing?
Sorry for late reply brother. (About a year :/). Can you imagine the emotional trauma of HEARING or SEEING your only woman participate in a public orgy in the streets? Yeah...its nothing like it at all. The difference is talked about in the Bible. God is pretty clear on the difference--and the penalty for participating in divination not of God. There is a reason the "veil" was put in place.

The Urimm & Thummim are not lost! They were in the possession of Joesph Smith the Prophet and Seer. They are in our possession currently and when in a man's possession they constitute seer stones by which a man may look and recieved revelation. Funny how Christian religions accept this doctrine but only when employed by ancient Israel. Joesph had two seer stones placed in silver bows. It was one of the primary means of him receiving revelation.

He didn’t have urim & thummin, they are gone, just like all the other vessels of the tabernacle or temple. God knows they would be turned into a idol if they were still around!
