Yeah this is a true story. Kind of a mini story from the album Nevers Road. The next part of the story is from the perspective of cancer in his dad's body. That one is called reaper. Probably his best song, in my opinion. I've been a fan of his ever since I first saw the video for Dreaming With Our Eyes Oepn almost ten years ago. He's a fantastic storyteller and his words just hit different. So yeah, his dad was hooked on the bottle for most of witt's life, and finally got clean. Tells the story of that interaction briefly on his song Kindest Regards. There are so many songs to recommend.
