its mostly due to how much she needs the energy battery from benny. Even with 200 ER she needs to be fed particles from our boy. when she's alone I stack like 260 on her to make it work.

@@junconglin thats the purpose of having 80 energy cost burst. these units are meant to be paired with another unit of their elements. other than hydro there is currently no burst dps having a 80-energy burst can be a solo unit. namely, beidou, xiangling, dmc, ayaka, xiao, etc.

@@nunoluz2234 It's rare that a constellation will make a character actually weaker. In the case of Xiangling's C2 it's more that you'll normally never get to make use of it since she needs to be on field normal attacking. Xiangling is usually at her strongest when she can be on field as little as possible since it allows other main DPS units to take center stage (while she outdamages them from off field in some cases lol).

She doesn't build EM on reverse melt teams because the Cryo is the trigger in those teams. For burgeon, I would think something like an oven team would help mitigate her large amount of pyro (oven is Cryo + Burgeon btw), though I need to actually build the team before being conclusive about it.

@@tonydai782 oops i think i should have said because she's also proccing melt as well when you play double Cryo/Pyro melt teams.

Not to mention the current updates (new 25% offield bonus artifact, the rise of monopyro charas like Lyney/Dehya) only serves to make her more important

@@JelloImpact I just built Heizou, so I've been using her with him, Bennett, and Xingqiu. It's a lot of fun, I love how Heizou fights. When he's got Pyro and hydro and swirls all at once, it's so satisfying. I've got more powerful teams but they do very well and when everyone gets their bursts off, it's SO fun.

I'm also using heizuo kazuha xangling benett even my character at 50 talent lvl 3 i just hit floor 12 now i know why people calling her broken, for 3 month just ignored her for keqing but only when I story get tough i use her,she slaps everything I'm embarassed as a ar55 who ignored her

For AOE it is for sure. I was trying to keep the video a reaonsbale length but I should have mentioned that it’s probably the overall best and def the best in aoe. Raiden edges out in ST

it falls off hard on single/duo boss fights... and nilou bloom has made it obsolete on aoe content. my poor childe, shoved out of the roster by nilou. :D

childe need kazuha, but raiden needs xingqiu. Childe for AOE, Raiden for single target. Think about what you need and what characters you don't need for the other side.

@@JelloImpact That would honestly be a massive buff to so many characters and teams. Burgeon would benefit immensely from an off field AOE hydro applicator with XQ's application speed.

Nahida is mostly used as shield breaker yeah, if she wasn't there, Chongyun or sort will have been used. I'm genuinely shock by what I'm hearing nowadays. Do people actually genuinely believe Nahida national has synergy? And isn't mostly played because shieldbreak? All this hype about this comp that suddenly surfaced in shieldbreak abyss but never existed ever since 3.2 when Nahida came and yet people can't connect the dot? This what happens I guess when people shill a team (national) too much and just parrot it even they have no understanding of what's going on. For Burgeon Xiangling to work, I'm pretty sure Bennett needs to be removed otherwise it means you are never switching to him during the whole rotation as like Xiangling he too applies a lot of Pyro, Bennett just like Xiangling is an energy sink in solo Pyro team, having neither battery each other is cumberstone and not worth playing. A team like Dendro-Hydro-Hydro/Anemo-Xiangling should work better for Burgeon but you now have to face Xiangling ER issue. In general from testing and observation she actually feels like one the worse Pyro unit to use for it. Either to much Pyro (Bennett+Xiangling core) or too much energy deficit (Xiangling solo).

Yelan is already too strong tho, she breaks the game for evryone that can play her well whether as a sub-dps or vape carry. Not being casual friendly doesn't stop her from being obscene. Also no there will be 5* version, just like Sucrose, Xingqiu and Fischl who are more broken than Xiangling so it will happen. The question is how this 5* will differ. Will they be like Yae that can't snapshot no more like Fischl? Would they have worse battery ability too?

Biggest issue I see is lack of healer. Bennet consolidates healing energy and buffing. Going Layla instead of rosaria or shenhe would be a damage loss but at least you’d have your healer. I would go both ER sands and weapon on xiangling, and Fav on everyone except for sucrose

@@JelloImpact Awesome, thank you for trying it! Layla is definitely a good option, and I really enjoy her as well. So having her take Shenhe’s place so we can still use the lack of ICD for both Rosaria and Xiangling bursts is an option. Does it feel worthwhile, or should I just pursue different teams, or perhaps ignore Xiangling altogether if I don’t want to use Bennet?

Late reply but Xiangling looks like she needs astronomical ER and a bunch of fav weapons from your teammates to make her burst every rotation which sounds brutal tbh

Her ER requirement skyrockets, she is no longer getting the snapshot and at that point if you ain't playing funerational then why are you trying to play Xiangling?

It is the reason I benched XL and haven't used her until I got a Benny from the shop in May. Still struggling to build him properly with Noblesse Oblige, I see lots of inconsistency as far as how to build Bennett.

So why remove Bennet from the team? 😉 How does ayaka do if you remove kazuha. How does Childe do without xiangling. How does Hu Tao do without xingqiu. How does itto do without gorou. It’s a team game, synergies is what it’s all about

I would go for extra ER. If you’re struggling with your Bennet 1. Go with an ER sands, even an ER weapon if you have to. Skyward blade or Sapwood blade are my two fav choices. If you have enogg if ER subs you can go ATK sands 2. Level weapon to 90, get burst to level 9 3. Profit

They kind of did. That's why Guoba got nerf for her and the CN community wanted her over Diluc in beta. Everyone knew how strong she was pre-nerfed and the nerf really hit hard. She was 2nd best unit after Xiao. What kind of went oversight tho was Bennett. The guy came out of nowhere doing what he does now, back in beta his buff and heal at talent 13 were his current talent 1. Can you imagine? Bennett wasn't talked about because he was underwhelming as shit but for some reason peeps at hoyo decided to overbuff him. Xingqiu got the same shit he was Cryo before and would have easily enabled forward melt Diluc over Kaeya even. Pyro being too strong would have made Bennett-Xiangling-Xingqiu not work as good. The oversight wasn't Xiangling as a character but team synergy, Hoyo didn't test how any of this unit will actually pair with each other. Bennett as evidenced with C6 was meant for Diluc but we all know how it went in the end.

It's not even just the ICD but the snap shot. Some sub DPS like Yae doesn't snap shot which is absolutely dumb when 4 star like Xiangling and Fischl can snap shot.

@@Polypoly06 No ICD isn't an issue true. Yae also has no ICD on burst doesn't make her burst broken even if powerful. None of the stuff Xiangling has are inherently too strong in a vaccum. No ICD burst? Many other units have that. SnapShot? Unit like Ayaka and Ganyu also snapshot. Burst scaling? Beidou burst hit harder, same for Xingqiu in ST etc... she also has ER issue anyway and with that she will struggle to build atk and crit even more. Amp reaction? She hits on an AoE and needs to NA to make it work something Diluc can do consistently easily. It's the combination of everything at the same time that makes it broken. She has a battery that helps her use her burst more frequently (Bennett), And this battery further buff her burst to now hit harder than Beidou (Beidou), And on top of being Pyro for the resonance this buffer gives huge atk so you can get away not investing in that and build EM and crit instead, And she can snapshot that buff so even she's not on field or the burst expired OR she left the circle her damage stays intact, And she is Pyro so she can use Amp reactions to further ap that damage (Vape), And she has no ICD so she can hit that huge damage through ALL her rotation, And she does all her damage OFF FIELD so now you can have Bennett, Xingqiu or Sucrose as the ne to proc NA on field instead of her. It's all this together that makes her what she is. Just removing one single aspect of this will make her fall really hard n matter what it is. And all of this is because Hoyo didn't test TEAM SYNERGY like I said in my comment.

Boom 💥 Sounds like you’re pretty new! I’d build both kuki and keqing :) keqing for the short term and kuki for the long term. In the meantime she can be a great healer for your keqing team. Something like keqing/kuki/collei/anemo main character would be a great team! Long term you can optimize that team and use kuki for hyperbloom but that’s what I would do in the short term

@@JelloImpact I appreciate the tips but to be honest I downloaded the game when it first came out but I never really got into it until I figured it out but I didn't understand the concepts of the teams and the stats of weapons and constellations and all that like ya'll do so I'm pretty much playing from behind. I missed out on maybe a years and a half worth of banners for characters smh.... I was off playing other games but I finally came back to it earlier this year after I seen all the content I didn't know about so i take y'all's advice because I'm behind. I couldn't decide who to build out of my electros because I've seen people run with different ones and I didn't want to make a mistake of investing in the wrong one, so I really appreciate your advice I'm going to go build Kuki right now

@@JelloImpact some combination of Bennett, Xingqiu (otherwise/and Yelan), or Kazuha (otherwise Sucrose), seems to be every character's best partner(s), yet I personally don't care to play any of them. I actively dislike Bennet and Xingqiu, Kazuha is okay, but being a limited 5 star, he's too meh to me to go after over others, I don't have Yelan, and I really don't feel like figuring out how to get to her Ascension boss in the chasm, which is why I was stopped dead in my tracks with Kuki's leveling despite having every reason to build her otherwise. Sucrose is the only one of the 5 who I'd consider running, as I have actually ran her before (still never beat abyss yet even so), but she is still pretty meh to me, like Kazuha, only being usable due to being a 4 star I didn't have to try to get, but even then she seems to be the worst of the 5. That all being said, as much as I do like Xangling, heck I wanted her before I even knew anything about the genshin meta, back when I first met her in the quests and did her trial, but I do tend to have a harder time slotting her into teams than I feel like I should given the praise she receives. Not that I'm unable to, I have done it to decent success (for me) on at least one team or two, and she's super useful against hydro/cryo enemies in the overworld, but I don't feel she "Xangling carries" as much as she's advertised to. For me she's kinda like a Pyro Fischl, except without the battery utility, and without the ease of use of her main off field damage (requires a lot of energy as opposed to no energy, and deals aoe damages based on active character's positioning rather than being more "auto-play"). Ofc, none of this is to say she isn't an amazing character, she still is pretty good and splashable in a lot of team comps, but without those core 3-5 characters (which pair well with virtually everyone) she doesn't seem quiiiiite op, and will still take some careful consideration before slotting her in. As far as tier 0 characters go, she definitely seems to be towards the bottom, probably around the level of sucrose, tho possibly more situational than sucrose. It always makes me wonder if I would have beaten the abyss by now if I had just invested into and built up my Bennet and Xingqiu, but I never will.

@@codyhanson1344 Use Dendro team if you don't want Bennett and Xingqiu. Spread and Aggravate are good. Or you can wait for Ayaka to get freeze team as well as Nilou, Xingqiu is not mandatory there. You're right that Xiangling does need specific units to shine, it's true for most character but she is praised for it still while other are used as a downside. She's pretty overrated in that sense. It mainly comes from early TC shilling her as well as International batchesting there and there that she has this reputation of broken unit that hasn't been true since Shenhe and Yelan came in buffing other unit outside her to more competitive level and more team flexibility. Dendro came in and most Nahida team are around the strength of Shenhe and Yelan team so yeah, C6 Faru also came in buffing Anemo to this height too. Nowadays she is still strong but it's not the 3 core Bennett-Xiangling-Xingqiu and flex. The last unit needs to have high synergy with her like Sucrose, Chongyun, Kazuha, Raiden. Same for Bennett-Xiangling-Kazuha core that either require Klee, Childe or a very well built Yelan. National team are pretty much structured like Hypercarry teams were she deals most of the damage while getting every single buff to the moon even if she plays off field. You said that she feels like a less independant Pyro Fischl? I'd say she's more like Pyro Beidou. In comparison to other element applicator like Xingqiu, Fischl, Collei even Sucrose. She needs to be paired of with a battery as she can't feel it herself, needs to be played in body contact range and sink the damage of the team by forcing more ER on them. Pyro doesn't really have a Pyro Fischl yet, Electro would have been the same. If Fischl didn't exist Beidou would have been forced in all the elctro applicator role that she has.

@@dendenmushi9714 The only specific character Xiangling absolutely needs is Bennett. The other roles, like VV user or hydro applicator, can be fulfilled by a bunch of different characters. Not to mention the only real reason you need Bennett on her team is as a battery. She still dishes out good enough damage without Bennett buff, so if you find another way to feed her energy, she's fine without Bennett. Her burst cost is her only real flaw. She does good damage, she's probably the best pyro applicator, she has a massive AOE, she does most of her damage off field. There's not much more you can ask of a character. I don't think she's overrated at all.

@@henryhe5945 In the current game she is. Her overall team DPS isn't that high nor are her personal numbers. The game is evolving and we've entered unit reaching the 70k for ST and 50k being the norm for AoE team like the recent Lyney Mono Pyro. Xiangling teams goes from 45-48k with International, Chongyun National and Shielded Melt Ganyu, to 54-57k with Mono Klee/Lyney, National Sucrose/Kazuha, Melt Ganyu no shield and Raiden National. The only outlier team that goes past 60k and reach 70k is Funerational but Xiangling is repleceable by Fischl there and the team damage is carried 50% by Hu Tao and 30% by Xingqiu+Yelan. She's still pretty strong but saying she's broken is incorrect. As far as Speedrun, her only competitive team is International in comparison to many different line up for Haitham, Raiden, Hu Tao, Nahida, Nilou and Ayaka. Just in case it wasn't understood still. Is Xiangling strong? Yes. Is Xiangling broken? At release yes. Now? No.
