@@zaneshepherd5245 we don't know her status, obviously, but I'd truly hesitate to suggest foul play of any kind. My only observation (from a jaundiced western perspective) is how he could have been viewed as capitalizing on her lush sexuality in his videos and she maybe just kinda got tired of it? It's my only speculation but then...I have no idea, really. I hope she's whole and happy somewhere

After my first visit to Thailand i was pretty sure i wanted to live there. So after 11 years and many visits i quit my job and sold up everything in the UK. I've been here 3 and a half years now and have never regretted it once.

not everyone chooses to take such a step and credit to you for doing it. When I left for Japan, I did NOT want to come back a year later with my tail twixt my legs...and I didn't.

I retired over here early 2016 with my then partner. For various reasons she wanted to go home, I just could not face going back to the UK and while there have been a few challenges along the way I have loved it here and still do. I have always been an exercise junkie (road cyclist) and the weather here in Thailand suits me perfectly. The cost of living is peanuts to that in the UK, the weather is great, attitudes are a lot more laid back, the food is great, what's not to like! If you set your mind to do something you want, you will always find a way. Love the vlogs mate keep them going.

What's hard about escaping Australia? One of the most expensive Countries in the world. Health Insurance at a premium. Seafood and Groceries a complete rip off Cost of buying a home in Syd Or Melb $1 million plus. Petrol at $1.70 per litre or up to $2.00 in some cases. Taxed at almost 25% in the dollar. People are constantly conned by being told they are living in the "best country in the world" and they believe this shit. I'm out of here asap thanks to people like LJ who have proven you can live like a king in places that are safe with good health hospitals in Thailand. Or you can work the rest of your life and pay the government more money.

I’m very happy for you guys. It does all start with self belief, and the ability to take risks. I think fear of failure holds many people back from achieving the life they want. Not everyone will try, not everyone will stay the course, but couples like you and the lovely Tida, Richie and Maybelle, show the rest of us that it can be done, and that eventually the hard work can pay off and give you a life that many of the people watching this channel are dreaming of. Thanks for sharing your story. Unfortunately it seems my drive, my dreams are all lost. I feel tired and beat down at 57 years old I may never catch any wind in my sails. If I could only get a do over. That Tida would have to be a daily inspiration for you. She's a beauty but seems pleasant all round. A good woman can propel a man to accomplish more perhaps than he would on his on.

Respect mate. I made a big effort to move from the UK to Oz. Now I also want to move Thailand for a less stressy life. Just waiting until the current situation stabilises. It's a big step to leave familiarity etc behind and hatch out a new life elsewhere, and you've done it in Thailand with Tida. From what I see in your vlogs, life is uncomplicated, healthy and you are free to choose what's next every day. Great stuff!

Whata great story Esquire. I left Canada 24 years ago and moved to Mexico. I was dissatisfied with my job and met a wonderful Mexican woman. I learned Spanish and changed my profession completely. In terms of personal growth I feel more fulfilled than ever. As you said, I had to get out of my comfort zone completely. You have to believe in yourself and do what what makes you happy. Tida is a keeper for sure. Beautiful and classy. You can do anything with the right woman by your side. I'm happy for you both. I hope to visit Thailand one day. Take care. 😁🇨🇦

So your finances when you left Australia was 20,000 dollars. What is your source of income now? Is it vlogging? I also would like to thank you for all your informative videos. I admire your perseverance and determination to make decisions. You also have a wonderful gf with Tida, never let that one go. I love what you said about leaving Australia, it really struck a cord with me . Your words are what I've been saying now for 5 yrs about leaving the United states. I've had enough and I feel the last chapter of my life is definitely not here in the USA. I'm 60 and it's now or never. Once again ty:)

Hey, your general advice about moving out of your comfort zone home country was very well said. I did the same damn thing in 1984 when I moved to Japan to live for 4 years or so. Married my Filipina girlfriend and returned to the States where we raised a family, and then...some 28 years later retired to the Philippines where we are living as happily as any couple might be. Good words you had--I had lots of folks who didn't believe in me, either.

I guess in thailand that might be a good price, but here in America. That's about 3 times the price and way less in equipment and everything else. My gym is called Las Vegas athletic club and cost me $9.00us a month. It's a huge 2 story building with over 500 pieces of equipment, 2 lap pools, locker room, showers, running track and free towel per visit. There are also 4 of these mega gyms around the town with our membership to use.

I love it how you guys are keepin it real all the time consistently everytime...btw i wonder if that resort on the right hillside as you walk over the bridge to Kathu waterfalls is open now. It was a gorgeous resort but closed and run down due to no customers when i lived in Patong 4 years ago.

The beaches are gorgeous and the people really seems to be very friendly. Once this pandemic is under control I don’t think those beaches will be as secluded.
