But that’s the game once they figure out a way to counter the threats eventually new anti tank measures will be created. The Americans don’t want to give Ukraine the latest tech in countering anti tank weapons because that’ll give Russia the ability to figure out a way to bypass the latest US tech. They want to save their latest and greatest stuff for last, if it ever comes down to WW3. Russia is doing the same thing also.

Russia didn't develop them. They simply copied the Israeli Hero-400 drones that they bought in 2010 after their contract ran out. It's the same system with a slightly different launch setup and Chinese parts.

@@Алексак-у3ц Перепроверил, это всего М777 уничтожено, не только ланцетами . Но ланцет хорош тем что записывает каждое поражение. И на всё есть пруфы. Если ни одного хаймарса ланцетом не уничтожили ( тупо дальность не позволяет) то я и не пишу об этом. В данный момент у ланцетов, емнип, 350 + зарегестрированных поражений. Это в принципе за 1,5 года не такое космическое число. Самые жирные у него уловы это не пушки а уничтожения ЗРК. Были уничтожены несколько пусковых установок и локатор С-300 и ещё одна iris-t.

That distinction is referring to the fact that the German Leopards are domestic models, with the most advanced systems, while the ones sent to Ukraine are export models, with several key systems downgraded to protect security. It's like how US variant Abrams have depleted Uranium armor and the Trophy APS, while export models have composite armor and no APS. It's a different tank. The only export model MBT that is superior to the base model is the Indian T-90, which was heavily modified with after-market modifications. The optics were ripped out and replaced with French upgrade, while the electronics were replaced by the Israelis. Russia actually re-imported a couple models for just this reason.

AI is still far from capable of doing such complex tasks with all other combat related parameters it has to keep in "mind". I do like the thought of it but that would be ridiculously expensive. It takes years to train even the most advanced AI we have today and none of those are "smart" enough to manage combat halo style. A human operator is still your best bet. A competent tank hunter surely knows where to shoot any tank he could face on the battlefield. The leopard armour layout is mostly publicly available Wasting a caliber cruise missile on a single tank or trench would be bonkers.

You say that and we know it but for years Germans made all kinds of statements in which they insisted that "Leopard 2 tanks are invincible". They blamed Turkish soldiers about the destruction of Leopard 2s in Syria by ISIS. They said "Turks couldn't use the tanks properly etc." They must shut up and accept that tanks can be easily destroyed by modern weapons.

Bradleys have performed extremely poorly. Challenger has yet to be seen, older Russian weapons destroyed them in other conflicts th. Abrams tank has not been authorized, likely they know that the extremely heavy tank will not perform well in this conflict and it will be an embarrassment, more so than what we have already seen.

Not really. The Israelis developed the Harpy drone in 1989, and the Iranian Shahed line is just a bootleg version of that which is half as fast, but cheaper. Better versions of the drones that are causing so much chaos now have been on the market since then, albeit under heavy export bans demanded by the US. We basically tried to delay this evolution of combat as long as possible by restricting those exports--it worked for nearly 30 years, but the cat is thoroughly out of that bag at this point. Even China is in on the action, as they bought some 2004 Harpy drones and reverse-engineered them into their new "cutting edge" ASN-301 drones. Even bootlegs of this old tech are killing new tech in some really impressive ways. Similarly, the Lancet-3 is just the Russian version of the Israeli Hero-400 drones that Russia bought years ago. They updated the launch tubes a bit, but the system is fundamentally the same, with Chinese components instead of western ones. Ironically, the USMC is currently training using the same system (Hero-400) while we roll out our own version. Also, if you want to sleep at night, don't look up the Lanius drone. It's effectively a claymore mine on a racing drone body, with an indoor mapping program, facial recognition, and IR camera. Imagine the hunter robots from Minority Report, but worse.

It doesn't have to be super-fast to be effective. Packs a powerful warhead for its size, is easily deployable anywhere, small, decent range, quiet, stealthy and hard to hit. You don't see or hear it coming until it's only a few hundred meters away and you only have a couple seconds to react. BOOM!!

However, in the case of these drones and ATGMs, the cost is so low that every second infantryman can be equipped with one of these.
