@@BoodyFootball_IRL no casp has a full white pc with whole different parts also this kids setup is probably around $3,000 - $4,000 while casp spent the money on the room but only changed his case in the video instead of making a whole new pc.
@@socialist-oat THATS NOT WHAT I MEANT I meant as in he definitely is playing games but why would bro need a 4090 why would anyone need a 4090 and a 4000 buck gaming pc I don’t you prolly don’t Zack doesn’t who cares it’s for gaming it’s a minimal pc required for pc gaming and plus he focuses more on his videos I didn’t he say he never games you don’t need to be a gamer to game
Now if you have a 4000 series GPU, you can get the fake frames generator, there’s a mod to enable it on older RTX cards. However you’ll have to get in the NCP and configure few options if you don’t have a G-sync compatible monitor, otherwise there’ll be screen tearing
As a sixteen year old saving up for his gaming pc with a 4080 super and 7800x3d, I can confirm that no financial responsibilities and high minimum wage in my state are game changers.
Ik people act like minimum wage for everybody is 6 dollars after tax. And in my state it’s minimum 15 per hour and you can work at 14. You could get this pc with no problem if you are 14
I'm pretty sure there's no job for below 17 years old because everyone is afraid to get charged with laws regarding children's employment. Specially in terms of part time job Except you are already at university which most people already 18+ years old So he's not more than a lie saying that he is able to save up 4000$ with 2 part time job. Since you can't even do 1 part time job when you're not 18+ years old yet
@@azizsetyawan3038 There are plenty of places that hire young people, no one is scared of that. Especially minimum wage jobs like fast food workers. In fact the majority of people I see working at Chick-Fil-A drive thrus and stuff are almost all under 18.
@@azizsetyawan3038 You're just incorrect. For starters, I'm 30 and from when I was a child the working age of anyone was as low as 16. Secondly, several states are trying to RESCIND child labor restrictions, not keep in line with them. #Murica
I remember reading the original post. The kid said he worked multiple part-time jobs for 2 years to save up for this build. He also mentioned he didn't have to pay for bills or food in his house as his parents would, hence why he was able to save up so much without having to spend any of his own money for other things. I don't know why people doubt the abilities of some kids.
I mean he is 16, the kid had multiple jobs I’m sure his parents were beyond happy he was grinding like that for something instead of being lazy and asking for it.
@@ARCTHELEGEND and I'm genuinely curious how far/close you are? Because as far as I know atleast where I live being under 18 without a workers permit heavily reduces your options for employment to basically fast food and some other odd jobs and if you work those jobs and can save up 4,000 dollars for a computer which is ATleast 2 months rent for some people, In My OPINION the only way I see that being possible is if you had no financial worries in the first place.
Also if even having a job during that time period you still have to go to school so it's not like you can work full time and get full pay checks to save.
I am 15 years old, I live in Finland, I worked since 13 and I saved up for an UTV, I also held my own store. Nothing impressive there, but I respect him not the creator of video.
@@sesad5035 when i had my summer job i got about over 3k, im saving for a car but bro he couldve gotten a job from his dad and payed more or did financial things like commodities and so when he was younger so he got a quick 1k
Back in 2007, I got my first job at 14. Made $9/h, worked 20 hours a week. After taxes, I made right around $325 a check. So if I didn't spend a dime, it would have taken me 12 paychecks, 24 weeks, or six months to save up $4k. That's not exactly difficult to do when you're a kid with no living expenses. BUT WAIT, THERES MORE! Average starting wage nowadays is between $12/h and $15/h, so lets split the difference and call it $13.50/h. At 20 hours a week thats about $485 per paycheck (after taxes) It would take him a little over 8 paychecks, 16 weeks, or 4 months to save up that $4k. Thats not accounting for what he got selling his prebuilt, what he might have already had stashed away from christmas or birthday money, or any kind of negotiations he might have made with parents or relatives (ie, dad tells him he'll match half of whatever the kid saves up). I remember when i first saw all the skepticism around this and I just dont get it. Its not unbelieveable or even suspect at all. People on the internet just want to be grumpy.
Yeah I don't understand the skepticism at all either. I'm pretty sure kids can work more hours in the summer too past the 20hr mark to even further lower the time frame. The only setback is the availability of jobs in area and reliable transportation
@William_15_ honestly that's fine bro. Unless you really need the money, it's not a bad thing to just to focus on school. Esp the last year of hs, there's a lot of stress there already.
15 rn and I decided to buy a quad a dirt bike a snowmobile and I'm saving up for a truck at the moment I started working at 14 btw Probably could have gotten that same system lol
@@allgunsblazed9106 a truck. For transportation I actually wanted to be able to drive places unlike most kids. It was for when I got a license btw just planning ahead
I’ve had more than $3-4k saved up when I was 16, don’t know the exact amount but by 18 I was able to afford a $12k car with money leftover. Basically I just saved 99% of the money I got since I was very young, any birthday or christmas money I saved and at one point my parents have me $10 for each A I had before they got tired of giving me $80 all of the time. Cut my neighbors grass for $30 every once in a while and got a small job at 16 where I just saved. This kid in the video also said he sold his pre built PC so that is already money towards that
I would give this kid all the props in the world for saving money and building his PC. I got into building my own PCs during the pandemic, and I will tell you it is a rewarding experience. This kid did at age 16. He has a bright future ahead of him.
@@casualbeaver I recommend leaving the gpu for last because their value decrease overtime quickly,. Depending on how much time it'll take you, when you finish the setup there will be better used gpus for 150 euros
Why are people questioning how he saved the money? Say he sold the pre built for $800. If the new pc was $3.5k then he only had to save $2700. Can get that mowing lawns for a summer. He's not living on his own or paying parents rent (probably) so he has no bills except his own fun shit and maybe his phone
@@s.c.p.fundation5450six? Mine cost about 16 months. With all the money I saved up I managed to save since highschool, I build an RX 6700XT and Ryzen 7 7700 non x system. I am now a fourth year University student.
Yeah once i turned 16 i switched to online school and worked full time at a fast food place. Made over 20k a year after taxes. I'm 20 now with a bit over 30k in savings. working full time while not having any bills is a godsend.
I had a friend that at 17 put down 30k for a Mercedes e400. Never question what someone can save when they have no financial obligations and can easily bounce back from sleep deprivation :)
All of you guys saying "daddies money" like damn I'm 15 and if I really wanted to I could save up over the summer and get something close to this. At 16 he doesn't have a house payment or bills to pay so it's easier to save.😂
@@cczsus6513 also we have barely any information on this anyway so its basically another "people on the internet will fight over anything, whats this called *shows a stick*" meme. personally id say we should just be happy for him parents money or no
its not about bills its about amount he can save At 16 years old he must work at some families business or he get like 100$ for lunch and he get 90$ after paying for food And don't start with that "if I really wanted" 90% of money is probably from family Without any family help no one can do this unless they are scammers
Can confirm UPS battery backup is essential. After realizing my power flicked off and on at least 4 times per week for whatever reason I got sick of shit shutting off for that split second. So the backup is definitely saving me the headache of a fragged pc from surges
I still use my i5-9300h GTX 1650 laptop I got when I was 14 (I’m 18 now), and even if it’s not the best laptop around, I’m still super thankful I got it as a gift!
I bought my APC UPS rated at 1500W from the thrift store for $12 It still had the factory seal, that had to be cut, and I had to turn the battery around to activate it. Best $12 spent.
I read this thread. It was full of people not believing that he could do it without his parents help. Not really sure what’s so difficult to believe about a kid with no responsibilities saving up $3500. 40 hours a week at $15/hr gets you to $3500 after tax take home in ~9 weeks. I started working when I was 15, at 16 I use to work 45-50 hours a week with school. I’d work 3:45 pm to 11 pm M-F, and then 10 am to 11 pm on Sunday. Not fun or ideal, but when you live with your grandparents and ones dying with cancer, you try and support the household however you can.
Damn, sorry to hear they have cancer. Both of my grandparents died of cancer just a week before I was going to meet them for the first time I’m looking forward to getting some jobs; this kid has some insane dedication and patience
@@bobthebutler literally look it up. Youngest you can work is 14. Wages ar enot lowered for minors, and i would know about this because im literally working at a fast food job right now. I make enough to easily afford a 4090 build in a year, and im just below hte tax threshold. It’s not rocket science man, its basic knowledge you can look up
also with very few good games over the past few years, its easier to avoid spending on those, and older games are usually discounted pretty regularly not to mention him selling his prebuilt PC probably helped free up his time to do work things to get the build
@@darkdruidsvale”very few good games” is total bs, lmao. you just gotta know where to look, there’s as many good games coming out as there was 10 years ago. also if you pirate, you ain’t gotta spend a dime regardless of how many games you get.
@@ruski77 probably should have been more specific there, I was more meaning “few good AAA games” since those are the ones that really bite down on your wallet, most AA and Indie games are much cheaper and are more worthwhile so hold more bang for your buck and as you said pirating, or sharing games with friends helps
Following options: 1) the kid may have good parents 2) The kid genuinely sold his PC for more than its worth 3) The kid did a real job. Since he's 16, he has the right to work since 14 (depending on the country) as long as its light work 4) He did some illegal work, not per se bad. But it can happen. I had a friend who was 16, and he got a similar PC back in 2016, so yea. It's not impossible. It just takes a lot of work
Yeah once i turned 16 i switched to online school and worked full time at a fast food place. Made over 20k a year after taxes. I'm 20 now with a bit over 30k in savings. working full time while not having any bills is a godsend.
Grown-ass adults hating on a kid when they have better stuff is the epitome of projecting. Even if the kid is lying, why do you care so much to actually send hate to a minor?
fr u can work at a mcdonalds for a few months and get 4k dollars (thats not counting u having to pay rent n shi but hes 16 he doesnt pay rent or anything hes just paying for the pc)
It’s the internet I’m gonna need a follow up for a story like that before I believe it! Can’t just drop that and no explain further. Believe everything your read!! 😂
Fax though I mean, if you just work a bunch and even if you don’t and you just save up your money for birthday and Christmas and all that other stuff, it’s actually really easy to get for $5000. I’ve worked a lot and I’ve made multiple granite I’ve spent multiple thousands on video games, but I have made it.
Bro, there is something called working and allowances. I saved up a couple thousand in 2 years from birthday money alone. Not every teen is selling/doing drugs and vaping
Or get a job dude. Once i turned 16 i switched to online school and worked full time at a fast food place. Made over 20k a year after taxes. I'm 20 now with a bit over 30k in savings. working full time while not having any bills is a godsend. I had several coworkers who still went to regular school. I knew two who worked a few hours after school then 10 hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday. You can make around 1-2k a month at 16 if you actually work hard.
@Ren-lx8wv my country doesn't let you get a job until you're 18. I'm thinking of staying at a friend's house in the UK during summer so I can work. their minimum wage is also the same as the average wage of my country 😂😂
In my state you can start working at 16 and the minimum wage is 15$ an hour. Even after school you can work 3-9 get 6 hours each day 5 days a week and easily save up enough money for a Pc with no bills or responsibilities.
I bought (and built) my own pc at 16. You can legally work at that age in iowa at least, just took a seasonal job at best buy for 21 bucks a hour and that was all i needed 😂
I got a pc built for me for christmas by a family friend and the way my dad described what happened was they took his bank card and just swiped it at every turn
I mean, if you’re home situation is stable, roof over your head, parents providing adequate meals and possibly working part time at 16, it’s certainly attainable, kid demonstrated patience and that’s rare these days. Props to him for having the courage to sell his PC in the first place, he’s going to make a fantastic financial advisor one day 🤙🏼
If the kids been working a job since he was 14 it's not unreasonable that he sold his pre built, got money for holidays, and saved up money over 2 years, maybe even 1
In my state you can get up to 40 hours a week when you dont have school (like over the summer) at 14 if you have a work permit working a Publix which u can be hired at 14 at 11 dollars starting if you do the math including taxes you can easily save that much over 1 or 2 summers
