Hey Friends,
We are Shailja and Arvind Keprate. We are an Indian (Shimla) couple who lives in Norway (Oslo) and gives information about this beautiful country through our RU-vid vlogs. The language we use is Hindi and English for our videos. We put our heart and soul into making these RU-vid videos and hope you will enjoy watching them as much we enjoy making them. About this video -
In this video, I have talked about few things which I thought were different in Norway than in India. These things took some time to get used to when I first moved to Norway. Thank you for your kind words. I would however like to say that Norway isn`t perfect, there is no perfect country on the planet. Some people here care less about the environment, for instance, and I personally know a few who are rather impatient.. but you were referring to the country as a whole, so. While shooting in outdoor, Use ND or CPL Filters over your Canon M50 camera lense, There won’t be reflection over your face & footage will look highly cinematic & crystal clear. Polar pro, Telesin or Freewell companies make good filters for DSLRs.

If I understood your question correctly, why is it possible to get strawberries and other fruits and vegetables who don`t normally grow in Norway OR those who do grow here, but are not in season here for instance when you see them in the supermarkets in winter. The short answer would be: because we CAN. We are able to import those things from warmer climates, opposite side of the globe. BUT: we are far from the only country in Europe who does that. ALL of the Nordic countries does the same, so does Germany and the Netherlands. And the UK. India has a much more favourable climate with regards to growing all sorts of crops, that is why you don`t really have to import a lot of these things. Now, there are those here in Norway who ask themselves whether we really need to import strawberries from the other side of the globe in winter. But I must admit that strawberries are a rarity here in the winter, mostly it is apples and other fruits, which we receive from New Zealand, South Africa, Argentina etc in winter, in other words countries with opposite climates to ours. I do know, however, that India imports foods from other countries, including salmon from Norway. However, I am not sure if you also import apples, since India has sooo many other types of fruits growing all year round. Maybe indians are more seasonal eaters? in theory, you could also import apples from Europe etc, I am not sure if you do.

Indians do drink tap water in hills, villages especially and its straight from the himalays and safe. Guess you did'nt do your research. My god, as I proceeded further I found another error, in India there are homes with a common geyser for washroom and kitchen

Hi Damini, thanks for watching the video. We are from the hills, and we keep on going to the village. Trust me, no one drinks water from the taps. We have been to the remotest villages in Himachal but never came across anyone who drinks water from the tap. Yes, we did around 10-15 years ago. I can be wrong about the geyser. I spoke from my experience, and you are speaking from yours. 😃😃

@@NamastefromNorway meant no offence just that in kinnaur my friend said people fill buckets from tap water and drink straight from that unless its winters because its too cold to drink cold water so they boil it in winters only

@@NamastefromNorway if you go as high as 3000-4000m which is approximately over 12000ft above sea level and visit remote villages you wont find RO's fitted in homes. JHARNA toh pata hoga aapko. There are pipes fitted so the glacier water rich in minerals are used by passerbys

@@daminishah9532 that is probably different, since these water sources are protected and not many people living there. It would be a total different story if you live in New Delhi and drank water straight out of the Ganges.. same here in Oslo, the water we get in our taps comes from a lake that has been fenced off, meaning swimming or walking the dog there is not allowed. Also, the water has undergone an UV-method, which kills any germs that may still be there. However, I wouldn`t drink water right from the river mouth here in the centre of Oslo (even though the river is quite clean only 500ms further upstream- the salmon has actually returned to the river, which is a sign of good water quality).
