Tbh, Fnaf 3 is barely a horror game because its tone is not really about being scary to the player. It is more about souls being trapped in the world of the living and shadows of the past continue to haunt the present. It's more sorrowful and intentionally tired which is actually kinda cool, lol.
The way I beat aggressive nightmare is I keep springtrap in camera 2, that way a camera error won’t do anything because you can see him from the window, and from there it’s surprisingly easy, high risk high reward Plus, as long as you avoid the phantoms, you will never get a ventilation error, however if you mess up and get a ventilation error it’s a quick death
I might have to try this out sometime! My struggle was that if I ever got an error, the reset time took just long enough that Springtrap was usually already at my door by the time it finished if he was at cam 2 when I started
actually, you are guaranteed a ventilation error every some period of time. it varies from night to night. it's the shortest on nightmare, but i dont remember the exact value.
I think what makes Nightmare Aggressive such a challenge is Springtrap's unpredictable nature. In the first two games, all the animatronics' behaviours follow set rules and patterns. Winning is simply a matter of recognising these set patterns and preventing them in sequence. Springtrap's AI has no sequence. He can move from camera to camera around Fazbear's Fright, and as long as they're adjacent cameras/vents he can move to any one of them, camouflaging himself in the static. He can also take advantage of phantoms and hallucinations to reach you near-instantly, while you're occupied with maintenance. Furthermore, unlike the first two games, which are cases of reacting to a threat once it arrives (using the doors in the original and the Freddy mask in 2), the Fazbear's Fright office in 3 has no way of protecting you against Springtrap once he reaches you. Thus, FNAF 3 becomes a game of detection and prevention. There's no way for you to survive if he gets to your location, so the entire night has to be spent hunting him just as much as he hunts you. On the main five nights, this is fairly easy due to the amount of leeway you're given and the restrictions on Springtrap's AI level. On Nightmare and Nightmare Aggressive however, you have absolutely no safe buffer; you have to track him perfectly, and one missed cue or slow click results in certain death. FNAF 3 is my favourite of the 'original four' games: the atmosphere, design of Springtrap and the varied mechanics of the game honestly make it one of the most unnerving and enjoyable to play through in my opinion. Fnaf 3 is thee scariest game out of the 4 for me and my favorite as well, it makes me sad that people hate on it so much. You highlight a lot of the things that makes this game so good
the hallucinations were an awesome addition and scared the shit out of me when I first played it. Plus Scott really nailed the use of cameras. FNAF 1&2 can be beaten pretty easily without camera use (besides the mandatory vents and music box) while FNAF 3 you are actively working to protect yourself directly through the cameras and instead of the camera always being on right door or prize corner the threat can be in any camera, it's exactly what I wanted from FNAF. I wanted a game where the camera's meant something more than a "oh no, I might get killed but I have to open the cameras"
Something a lot of people don't know is that when you're hallucinating, you can click on the Springtraps in the cams, and if they're fake, they'll disappear EDIT: Just gonna put this here before hand: This DOES work on Mobile, but I have not tested to see if it works on PC
Even though the jumpscares aren’t as bad as other entires in the series, I still think it’s incredibly creepy how human and smart Springtrap is. Like the fact that he purposely tries to hide from the cameras, or how his path isn’t linear like most other animatronics. It’s just really unsettling

For me, I was holding Springtrap in Cam 7/Sealed Cam 12 and 8 and lured him to Cam 7 at 5am. He went to Cam 9 and took Cam 11 and I couldn't seal in time. Lured em to Cam 1 and had a 16 second Epic Staredown; then 6am hit
One thing I've learnt from having the radar on in Nightmare aggressive mode, is that springtrap will jump forward a few cameras whenever a phantom animatronic jumpscares you. I switched to cam 9 (where he was) and balloon boy jumpscared me. I then instantly flipped the monitor up to try and play an audio lure, but he had jumped from camera 9 all the way to camera 4. He jumped 4 cameras after I got jumpscared, which makes it so that if you get jumpscared by a phantom, you're pretty much dead regardless.
Ok, I'm gonna say this, Springtraps jumpscare, is like that because he knows what he's doing, the other ones are children, flailing their arms trying to scare you Springtrap isn't like that He knows what he's doing
Aggressive Nightmare is definitely one of the easier max modes but still has some RNG for where Springtrap moves and how fast he moves as well. The audio cues to tell where SpringTrap is will definitely make everything easier to tell where SpringTrap most likely is or if a specific phantom animatronic is near/about to jumpscare you
The camera "buzz" when springtrap moves happens on camera error aswell, FNAF3 is the easiest one because all you need is gamesense of where springtrap is/will be
@@RobertEdwinHouse9 Hardest to easiest: Fnaf1 - Fnaf2 - Fnaf4 - Fnaf3 Normal SL is free, but their custom night(overall) is harder than Fnaf1 and below. 50/20 is separate, Non-office ones aswell But if we count all games, Its actually the VR ones by length and psychical stress
@@RobertEdwinHouse9 All of Fnaf3 combined is easier to Fnaf4 and above, you only need to keep up with springtrap, which is free, fnaf4 and above is harder just for the mere fact there are more things you have to keep up, that's why SL custom night is the hardest, all of them still being easier than 30/20 any combination, which actually only gets hard on 46/20, 47 and above is a simple RNG game
personally i would say ventilation is probably the least-important one to reset because springtrap hallucinations are actually not that big of a deal to deal with. chances are, you already know for-sure where he just was, and in that case almost all possible positions a hallucination could be in wouldnt make sense. the only real downside of ventilation being down is if springtrap is at your door or already in the office, it will let him attack you. if you're close to the end of the night, maybe ventilation would be best to reset first. beyond that, ventilation has almost no impact on the game and it is actually totally possible to beat aggressive nightmare without _ever_ even resetting ventilation
The thing is, what if, for example, you had him at cam 10 but he moved to cam 9 so you use the audio lure. But it fails but you see he is in cam 9? He might have then moved either to the vent or to cam 8, then 5 and so on... Sure, you can play with fire but that will eventually cost you due to the ambiguity. If the audio lures would be infallible I would agree with that approach, unfortunately they fail(1/7 chance, afaik).
@@sledgehog1 this is almost a year-old comment and my understanding of the game has changed quite a bit. you can actually still determine if he _moved_ because there is always long static when he moves. now, whether he moved elsewhere or to your lure you cant determine, but if you know where he is, place a lure, check a different camera, see him there, and you didnt see long static, than you know one of them is a hallucination and if you were keeping track of where he was before ventilation failed you should be able to tell which is which at least for a little bit. now, all of that said, i still partially stand by what i said. there HAVE been people that have beat aggressive nightmare without resetting ventilation, and with some very big exploits even without resetting anything (though its a little luck based and requires very precise inputs). but, i will say that yes FNAF3 is quite difficult because of how RNG-based Springtrap is, you really cant win it consistently with pretty much any strategy.
Dude I’m so terrified about all nightmares mode. In FNAF 4, the character nightmare moves every 2 seconds and he will kill you in 10 seconds if you don’t find him. So good luck.
True, I am quite a veteran at this game and know everything until the last bit of A.I, something like phantom foxy spawns in randomly, you never know when he is there and that makes him more scary than springtrap who just casually comes in walking
Yeah, that's the real issue with the game, It's not "easy", it's incredibly RNG and luck based. Which I think people should be levying against the game rather than its "easyness"

I learnt recently Springtrap knows instant tansmission. When you get jumpscared he straight teleports across the map. One time he was on the arcade cam where Phantom Chica is, after a jumpscare from Phantom Foxy, I look literally seconds after, he is in the Phantom Mangle camera.
That weird noise Springtrap makes can be heard if he gets to at least cam 05. These cams are 01, 02, 03, 05, 06, and any of the vents connected to those rooms. And MAYBE 04

Spring trap start at either cam 8,9 or 10 and he can either go to you on hallway or through vents but the vent you want to close off is cam 14 and the only way to win pretty easy is to keep him far over there. Night 6 is pretty interesting because you don’t get and ventilation error which is pretty generous or forgot to put on. Either way just don’t get jump scare by phantoms or you will get ventilation error. Hilutionation is a thing if you don’t fix the ventilation error.
honestly, my strat for fnaf 3 was holding Springtrao between cam 9 and 10, keeping that long vent sealed incase he tries to go through if i need to reboot anything

Honestly, FNAF 3 is one of the VR levels I'm nervous about doing because there are so many jumpscare opportunities per night between the phantoms and Springtrap
FNAF 3 is one of those games where if you know what you are doing and how all of the Animatronics work, it’s easy, but if you don’t, it’s confusing and you’ll have to do a lot of trial and error if you want to play it blind.
I think aggressive nightmare isn’t that hard because of the cam 2 strategy. You can stall him for most of the night at cam 1 if he’s at the door, and cam 2 if he’s at the window. If not for that though, this mode would suck ass.
