m I’m black but from my observation a lot of white people are accused of racism when there isn’t any, i.e. if they shut it down they’d say “it’s because I’m brown” when realistically it’s because it’s filthy.
@@Jojohumf No, it's because he's met the minimum standards to operate. If you're not in the field then why are you commenting on it? Go and check your local Domino's or McDonald's and see what they get away with
Ice Lolly if that’s the minimum to keep running then they need to reform. God forbid someone with a weak immune system eats there, that’ll be the end of him/her.
@@Jojohumf People with weak immune systems shouldn't be eating cheap food such as kebabs anyway. Everyone knows what kebab shops and such places are like. You just eat the cooked food, not lick the fridge seal or ask for water under the sink. Given, it's filthy but so are most people who use urinals and then don't wash their hands.
I was a chef in a couple of Michelin star restaurants, this makes me sick, we used to use earbuds in the fridge seals and deep clean every night pull everything out and scrub! You could eat off any surface XD
Gale Grazutis oh, I get it! Duh. I thought he meant sticking earbuds in the seals to (I dunno) make the seals hold better or something. That makes sense, thanks.
I stopped going to my local chicken and chips shops as once I saw a guy who had a rash on his left arm he had it covered by cling film. As I was waiting for my food I saw him take the cling film off and then out E45 cream on his arm and them put the cling film back on and carried on putting masala to raw chicken. So I told them I have to go the bank and take some money out to pay for my food which I lied and never went back there again.
I am Asian and I I worked in these shops. Let me tell you that they all should be closed or either checked under strict instructions of health and safety.
Ice Lolly .... stop making excuses for this filthy place.........they have NO FUCKING STANDARDS.......they have ZERO pride in running their business and should be closed down immediately.
Yes but I’m gonna tell u something. I have experience in the food sector and believe me, there will be always something disgusting happening in the kitchens OF ALL RESTAURANTS, that’s why I always recommend people eating at their houses because a restaurant kitchen can be very disgusting if someone is not doing things properly.
I ordered donner yesterday from take away. It stank awful! I phoned the take away and the guy was like! Sir it is fresh! Just put on! Remember the owners will keep the donner until it’s not fully sold! Regardless of donner being 2 or even 3 weeks old! Owner of take away don’t care of you being food poisoned! Take care on what you eat!
Mate...If you're buying a donor always try and buy it from a place you know is busy. If the donors getting eaten its getting used quick. Less chance of getting served a dodgy donner.
@@asifmoghul8350 and be smart to what time you buy it , never order as soon as the place opens else you are likely to get the scraps , likewise just before they close.
I stopped going to my local pizza / kebab shop after witnessing a guy come out from the toilet and pulling up his zip tucking in his shirt... then proceeding on to making my pizza! That was the last visit
I understand that this is someone's livelihood and they're trying to be empathetic and helpful, but when a place is that filthy it's not just a simple mistake, it's negligence, and the staff put themselves in this situation so it's no one's fault but their own. The public shouldn't have to pay for their mistakes with food poisoning.
Not even remotely near it ..... especially fancy ones, for example in Seattle the majority of the mid fine dining from mid level to the best is mostly rich guys from other financial backgrounds that think its cool to try to own a high end joint/s Not only is it not their living income it's a write off when they loose money. Even Tom Douglas the sham and fake chef had his wife's family/career money to depend on still does and makes the majority of the tommy D money off cookbooks(of other peoples recipes) a Costco spice line and his wife's money, back door deals with starbucks.....some investments but not the restaurants. In fact he saved a lot of face using covid as an excuse to close places that were never breaking even and we're doomed the day the opened. That's fine dining
Who doesnt love a bit of mystery meat, i remember in a doner kebab shop near me, we saw the guy rolling the doner kebab along the kitchen floor to the stand then he picked it up and put it on the cooker 🤢
Jammie Jo don’t be stupid, cleaner than your own meaning because they’re serving a lot of people, store a high number of food n have regular hygiene checks they would have higher hygiene measures than ur home
@@icelolly4277 nope I work at a maccies and it's pretty good, large companies are better at staying clean than small places like this cause it's their image is on the line
When it came to handling the processing of ground beef at my old job, I always had it in the back of my mind to make sure this stuff is as safe as possible. I kept my area clean and spotless because I had the integrity and human decency of making sure we’re all in this together and should respect and look out for each other’s health and well being.
The owner fully knows well at what needs to be done, he needs to roll up his sleeves and get in there and get some soap and hot water and start cleaning his business ! 🤨
As someone who works within the food industry all i can really say is if you order food out, in a resteraunt or takeaway be prepared to accept its probably not going to be very clean. I myself have witnessed food items dropped on kitchen floors and the chef has just picked it up and put it back, not to mention lots of chef more than lilely go to the toilet and either dont wash thoer hamds or domt scub them like theyre supposed to. If you want 100% safe clean food then just teach yourself how to cook at home because thats the only way you 100% know where your food has been in all honesty. If wver i eat out now i just resign myself to the fact amd try not to think about it too much 🤷♂️
"Johnny could close down this busines,But he has to be careful because its the owners lively hood"....no its the owners responsibility to keep it clean, if he doesn't and it gets closed that's on him.
I love the puzzled look on the owner's face, as if to say, "Hey, there's shit everywhere, dripping bowls of who knows what, the simplest rules of hygiene being flagrantly flouted, so, what's the problem?"
Yea let him continue to serve contaminated food just because his livelihood is at stake and hes too irresponsible to fix it thats what these inspectors allowed
I live in a small town with limited food options, the cheapest of which is the gas station. They don't clean anything at all, ever, until the day before an inspection. I've gotten food poisoning from their hot dogs twice, now. The second time it nearly killed me and I ended up in hospital. I've seen them leave hot dogs on the rollers so long they've dried out and become wrinkled yellow jerky. I've had to fish fruit flies out of my soda, which tells me the nozzles must be filthy. And I know for a fact that the condiments sit out basically forever, until they're gone and are then refilled.
Gross - they don’t seem that fussed but I couldn’t eat there (I don’t like kebabs anyway) as I’m immunocompromised and that could literally kill someone who is ill or battling a disease 🤦🏻♀️
Don't eat from out then, I am immunocompromised too, but I am perfectly fine after eating from out and I travelled abroad too, I ate food from street vendors, perfectly fine, worst case was just travellers diarrhea. But I take risks anyway, generally though, you should not be eating from anywhere out whether that is McDonalds or any well known restaurant, you do not knows what goes on behind the doors, not every surface is cleaned down perfectly and bacteria free. Bacteria lurks everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE, you won't just die from it by being exposed to it, as you encounter bacteria and other things everyday. Might as well not even go outside if it's really that bad, thats what doctors recommend people who are highly immunocompromised as they could encounter people who could pass on infections to you.
@TURD BURGLAR Or the fun of having one mid night out , will i , will i not make it home before shitting myself , it really adds to the excitement of the evening.
You should check the Red Rose of Surbiton too! I used to work a few days as a kitchen porter there and after I ate there, I've never seen such a skin rashes I've occurred from there. Anyway, you should know that those guys aren't hygienic in the kitchen and the storage rooms are mouldy all the time. Check the rusted shelves too!!!
Shows how garbage food safety really is. The inspectors say it "atrocious" and explain how terrible it is while the employees just work around them, and then the inspectors just leave. Good luck to us all....
Had a regular health inspector coming to my shop in Melbourne Australia. Shop was spotless. Asked him why he was so picky about everything all the time. He said because it's one of the very few clean shops in the area and the council workers always come here.
I actually never came across a doner place and got the impression that it was excellently clean. As soon as I come in a doner place I leave empty handed. I don't know if they try to cut costs but I imagine the staff is not enough to cook and clean.
Or just do some research and find decent places , you need to put some trust into other human beings , else you may as well just sit at home wearing a tin foil hat , covered in your own shit holding a crucifix waiting for that tesco delivery.
@@Sufian95 cooking from home is far better than buying processed food. For starters, you know what you're putting in your food and you can substitute an ingredient/cooking method that us more beneficial. And the biggest advantage is that its cheaper than buying premade dishes. We are in a age where every five minutes you'll see fast food restaurants. This has been killing traditional cooking and is tge reason why England is the most obese country in Europe (40% of the English population is obease or overweight).
Damn, it still didnt get shut down. I guess its different standards across europe. My grandparents had to close their Kiosk a couple of days because their sink was on the wrong side!
I’ve seen some of these videos now, and I can not understand why British authorities are so loose on health standards..??! Why are owners allowed to be kept open when they repeatedly breaking health regulations? And are they not fined? In Denmark all shops that sells food are required to display the health report to customers, and health inspectors are required to visit a shop at least every 12th month. The reports are even made public on government websites. How does British customers now if a shop is a health hazard?
The food hygiene ratings are available on the website www.food.gov.uk, but in England and Scotland they're not required to display their rating on the front door (whereas in Wales and Northern Ireland they are). They do sometimes prosecute, leading to fines being imposed, but of course that takes time. Other than that they just issue "advice" and "improvement notices". They only really seem to close down restaurants when there's a pest infestation.
This is why I'm glad apps like Just Eat have included the shops hygiene rating now 🤣 anything below 5* and you're risking it imo. These bastards would never keep their house this dirty, don't take the risk.
The rule of thumb with Donner Kebabs is, do not eat them in daylight hours while sober. They are the food of champions in the hours of darkness while absolutely bladdered. Oh! my top tip, if you're going to abuse and wind up and abuse the guys in the Kebab shop, do it after you have your food. I used to do deliver for a Kebab shop decades ago and seen some pretty interesting objects going into the food of those who had been cheeky or abusive.
I thought my home kitchen would be messy after I cook my meals but this is a whole another level Btw now I see my home kitchen does not look so bad now
Tbh ye I don’t want someone to be proper dirty around my food but at the end of the day maybe once every year or two you’ll get the shits so tbh if I am out and the hygiene rating is low i don’t really care I’m just gonna get a kabab or pizza tbh
Greta Thunburg It’s weird it usually the dirty ones are the best tasting haha I went to a Chinese’s takeaway with a 5 star disgusting huge lumps of chicken in chow mein very chewy, I once went to a 1 without releasing it was pretty nice tbh
Love how the inspectors speak so calmly to the owner. I think my tone would be more stern. Especially as they've had the same issues before and haven't dealt with the problem.
As a chef one of the first things you learn is never reheat twice. You can cook it, cool it, and reheat it once, but you never reheat again. Doner meat gets reheated about 50 times because they turn the spit off once they don't need it to save the gas bill. And I've seen them at the end of the night, wrap it in cling film, refrigerate and use it the next day. It's so obvious when you go in at opening time and there is just a small slither left on the skewer, you think "I know you haven't sold all that in 30 minutes that's blatantly last night's one again"
My local kebab shops a chip shop and the owners are really nice and 5 star hygiene all the time plus the foods always top notch never been poisoned once
Stopped getting kebabs from shops like this last summer when I had a chicken burger from a place in Yorkshire and had the worst case of Gastro. Felt like I was dying every day for 5 days with constant temperature of 39 degrees C and sickness.. But even after all that, I still miss a good chicken shish and cheesy chips covered in chilli sauce after a day sesh
