How Do Banjo Players Change Their Tuning While Playing? 

Something that can be confusing (and impressive) to beginners or people who don't play the banjo is the way that banjo players change their tuning in songs like Flint Hill Special or Randy Lynn Rag. The way this is done is actually pretty simple! It is done with a special type of tuners called D tuners. Watch this video for an explanation of different types of D tuners and how they work.
