I remember when I had to get my both of my first top molars taken out at the dentist due to my orthodontist deeming them as unnecessary teeth. The whole process of numbing my mouth was super long. Then the prep work they did before taking the teeth out was the worst. They told me I was going to feel a lot of pressure on the teeth, and that it wasn’t going to hurt. They lied. It hurt like hell. And when they toke both teeth out, it felt weird. The whole process of numbing my mouth, taking photos, prep work, etc. was like a whole hour and a half, while taking the teeth out was like 5 minutes. Now I’m terrified of the dentist. At least I got to take my teeth home.
I had the same experience as you my freind yesterday.... I had 9 teeth pulled and boy let me tell ya I was holding onto that chair for dear life everytime he would push up against my tooth .I won't go back again seriously
Just had a molar extracted and was lucky enough to have just the right amount of numbing and I asked for a little more. The extraction only felt like a small ache, I'm so sorry to hear you had a bad experience.
@@suneesra7074I hear that, last month I had 4 removed, and the pressure was strange, but what sucked was when the ligaments disconnected from the roots that strange pain was like okay wow… then I had two more done two days ago. Those two weren’t fun I felt the left one wasn’t numb enough but by the time she was rocking and rolling all I could sue was ride the lightening and get it over with :/ I watch these videos of dentists disconnecting the gum tissue first, then wedging the good to loosen it up before clamping and “pulling it”. I feel the pressure I felt with mine was her going straight to the clamp and pushing them up to disconnect gum tissue before yanking the tooth out… went in already terrified of the dentist, now I truly dread the next appointment .. I also see most dentist video of them doing bone graph material for not the hole then stitching it up. Mine she yanked em, put gauze told me to bite it for 45 mins and sent me in my way 😅 so much for bothering to preservation 😅 they give pain pills script but I never used them either time, guess I’ve dealt with tooth aches for years and the pain after extraction is a cake walk compared to the aches I would get I guess. But I definitely get how it felt and how you feel afterwards!
@@prabalsally4821 Had it pulled out a week ago. The actual procedure is not bad at all (with local anesthesia) and it passes by super quick. The annoying thing for me is the healing process - you have to be pretty cautious for the first 3 days to not dislodge the blood clot.
@@fearrp6777hopefully it's the same for me. I have to get 4 teeth taken out tomorrow. And I'm so scared because I think it's gonna hurt and feel really weird.
I’ve been numbed 3 times in my life for various dental procedures. By far, the least painful injection was when the dentist inserted the needle veryyyyy slowwwly, and also the numbing agent…. Ask your dentist to push the syringe very slow. It truly does make a difference.
I had to go hospital for mine no joke she took like 20 30 mins to get it out there really rooted I tried to pull it myself with no luck. No pain tho them injection these days are much stronger then they use to be.
Infected teeth are a bitch to numb. It often fails or doesn’t fully numb the tooth. Just keep asking for more numbing agent if you feel anything. You may end up still feeling a very mild, very dull pain for maybe 5-10 seconds, but it’s bearable. It’s nothing crazy. It’s like the pain you feel when you press down hard on your gum. Just a very dull ache.
I remember when my dentist shaped down my tooth to literally nothing because my top one was coming in so instead of shaving the top one lower, they just completely shaved my bottom tooth so I had to pick between gum surgery and to get the tooth removed and I chose gum surgery and I regret it. I wish I just got it removed.
Wow ! I’m so sorry! I too chose wrong and I am now in pain for 12 months. Imagine how much weight I’ve lost. Eating isn’t appealing either with this pain. I can’t afford to pay so i pray and dream of better days.
I just had my second moler top right side taken out and omg was she pushing 🫣 it took around 3 minutes before I asked her to stop because I started having a small panic attack 😥 I was sweating bullets and couldn't feel my hands ! After a minute she started again and about a minute later she asked the assistant for the scalpel 😬 and then tadaaah it was out ! 3 stitches and this is my second night post extraction just mild discomfort 👍🏼
LOL I have panic attacks in the chair too! It’s not that I am feeling any pain, it’s the idea that I may unexpectedly feel pain. Basically, I worry that the numbing shot will only numb me half way and I may feel some of the procedure. This is what races through my mind, and there is really no way to quell this fear of mine, because the dentist cannot with 100% certainty claim I won’t feel anything 😂
@@kacperrebisz4261 tooth broke to where I can't get a way to bend it back and forth. Talked to my work owners and they can eventually get me some dental insurance but I've already been through this before and it's going to take so long and maybe cost more than I can afford. I already spent 200$ to get a rx of generic penicillin and I'm out. I'll have to see local Dr..+x-ray+rx then appt for oral surgeon which is thousands. I basically have to hurry up and figure out what my options are with these things but I might also try finding the right dental tool is need. ITs not really a good idea though because it's a bottom molar that's deep into the bone and I can't get a grip to rock it because you have to bend the bone socket and it's looks like quite a job from what I've seen. I do have med grade novicain but I wish I could find a way to kill the nerve from inside out. If my local dentist could drill to the bottom of my tooth and pack some clovenoil in it .. idk. I've tried it from top but the infection is deep at the roots. I can't even talk when it's infected it's so bad. The pains going to be back soon. I can tell that this particular tooth is super susceptible to getting severely infected and I've been through this in extremes before. Haha. I'll figure it out tho
@@syedshufkatali6585 costed me 200$ for a rx of antibiotics. I've been through this before. It'll take 2000$ +10 months of waiting and it'll take 2 separate 200 mile trips. I'm looking into multiple prospects. 1) get some sort of insurance that will cut the bill down) 2) buying or making some tooth pulling pliers. I already have mes grade novicain and I've pulled my own teeth before. It's super sketchy and I don't recommend it but like I said... I've been through this before. Nearly died from sepsis a few years back.
Mine didn’t just uncomfortable bc I actually felt it coming out *twisting, wiggling* but no actual pain (if done right) some on comment section have reported it not done right resulting in pain
Yh all great when I haven’t eaten for 5 days now and haven’t slept in just over 36 hours I need to bottom molars pulled I can’t take the pain but I can’t even afford to have them pulled because the cost of dental care here in the UK is ridiculous over £500 just to pull it out like I actually don’t know what to do it’s getting to that stage where I want to end everything coz of how immense the pain is coming from someone who’s broken their leg in 3 places that I could handle this is to much f*ck the UK government it should’ve been free
@VideosByLukes Clearly rotten teeth beyond hope have to go. Some argue that even wisdom teeth should have plenty of room to come in with the right diet etc. Hope you have a good day.
