Of course. I feel like genshin does try to express this with a few citizens coming from disadvantaged lives and then expressing that, but doesn’t depict the insane amount of humans that are greedy, terrible, evil people, especially within the high government and hold power. Often times we end up defeating or deposing those ppl in the game, but it doesn’t happen like that in real life of course.

Venti is hella underrated, he is actually the one that done the most work among the archons, especially at the early days of Monstadt; from golden apple archipelago, unreconciled star event or even Dainslef collected mischaleny about venti, and hell even it was being mentionef several times, monstadt was once mountanous frozen wasteland not lush green as we know now, it is barbados aka venti who use his power to cut down the mountains and throwing them off to the sea, in what now becomes haar island or golden apple archipelago, and throwing the largest mountain in Tevyat, pylos peak, to the sea, to what is now, musk reef, aka the location of spyral abbys, not only that, vento also drive off storm from monstadt, so monstadt will be the land without storm this is the thing that have been said by that girl with church of favonius uniform at the area around stormbearers mountain, venti also taught people of monstadt how to harness wind and taught them how to build windmill all of this is the reason why monstadt After all of this he goes off to sleep,but from the manga, he definitely didn't have control over his sleep, and even ask himself how long has he been sleeping, and wake up to monstadt already under the yoke of Lawrence clan, this is my speculation, but he looks like overspend his archonic power especially since he is a god that didn't get worship at thr beginning, vannesa's rebellioj would be impossible to succeed without venti's direct intervention, and he once again handed monstadt to it's righful owner, the people Fast forward during catacalysm , venti and dvalin are the one that defended monstadt from the attack of the largest dragon that ever roam monstadt, durin, you can see the remnants in dragonspine mountain, in which why the mountain being named like that And idk if you realize it, monstadt archin quest are the only archon quest where the archons actually greatly help in handle the crisis,without venti we stand no chance against corrupted Dvalin, hell without venti we wouldn't even survive

I am glad someone noticed the lack of Daimyo rulers in Inazuma. I knew right away that Hoyoverse based Inazuma on Edo Period Japan once Zhongli mentioned Inazuma is undergoing the Sakoku Decree. Perhaps they removed the Daimyo system since the whole nation’s activities are limited to Narukami Island only and that the daimyo system could actually get confusing based on the hierarchical statuses of families. One funny “coincidence” is how traveler arrived at Inazuma through the use of Alcor going thefe under the guise of business, which seems similar with how Black Ships arrived at the Edo Japan back in 1800s.

There is another possible theme in Snezhnaya; in the world quest, it was said that Arlecchino (one of the Fatui Harbingers) opened an orphanage for Orphans, which then were trained and then sent on infiltration mission (maybe as spies since they were trained to become the Fatui) so there may be a ‘Russian Spy’ theme added to it.
Yes! I also personally think the Tsaritsa might just be the only archon who is trying to fight Celestia, and the fatui harbingers are kind of like her human weapons to achieve that goal. She also wants to be aware of each nation's opinions on it, so thats why there's all these fatui doing politics. She wants to have them by her side when the time arrives, but tbf I think Dainsleif is right and she doesn't really love her people, but she's definitely "pretending" she does, so that they'll work better. It's SOO weird to me how Dain says that her people doesn't love her, but 90% of snezhnayan npcs and fatui absolutely adore her... I think she's having something similar to North Korea lol, where only some people aproved by her can get out of the nation, while it's common folk die of poverty and things of the sort because they all overwork for the military.

for sumeru i think that its really interesting to see the schoolars tittles are reverse in contrast to rl monarchy bc it may hit us that (as well as dainslef did it in the past) the enemie of the wisdom is the wisdom itself its meaning maybe is about how sumeru values more misinformation and ignorance rather than actual knowledge (as a way to prevent the schoolars to know the truth about teyvat) so it would make sence that the talented ppl (higher ranks in monarchy in real life) have the lowest academic rank in the game
I find Watatsumi's political status interesting because it's clear that Kokomi inherited her position whether she wanted it or not, but she's also shown to be struggling with the duties that she has as a result. She doesn't seem to want the position, but puts up with it because she owes it to her people. She makes public appearances and speeches because she knows that's what I leader needs to do to help their nation, but all she really wants to do is crawl into her secret cave and read The Art of War in peace and quiet. (The traveler literally reads her a commentary on that very book as a bedtime story.) I'd be very surprised if there weren't real Absolute Monarchies that had this problem of a ruler that didn't feel qualified for the position, but didn't have anyone to take over for them.
I mean, we know cases when rulers openly did not take responsibility after their role, so it would not be surprising that some rulers just swallowed the bitter pill.

I've known the Teutonic States for a quite some time however never related it to Mondstadt due to the former's militaristic and crusading nature and the latter's emphasis on freedom. However, I disagree that Mondstadt is anything close to a monarchy. Parliamentary Republics however, are much closer. Most monarchy implies that power is inherited. Only in a select few case do elected monarchy take place. However that is only in name, such as the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth with a "elected king" that essentially serves as prime minister for life. Mondstadt on the other hand is not a monarchy in practice or in name.

Snezhnaya seems more based on Soviet Russia - cult of personality around the supreme leader; sacrificing in the present to reach the future goal of utopia (super communist); the backhanded dealings reminiscent of Russian Soviet foreign policy; the massive militarized feel that has tinges of industrialization (which yes, came later to Russia than the rest of the world irl but Genshin likes to flip things). Nah i think it was base on both of them since the cult personality even happen during tsarist era eg peter the great name the city with his name, authoritarianism in snezhnaya also have smiliarity with both tsarist and soviet era russia (wich is probably devloped even during muscovite principality era in response of lack of peasant and lack of devlopment in northen russ like moscow, bloozero, tver and others not to mention weak rule result in anarchy like time of trouble after death of boris gudunov) the so called ultimate goal ideology also present in tsarist russia like how they need liberating constantinople, became sole leader of slavic people and so on , and regarding foreign policy just like snezhnaya they also agressive but i think soviet type in foriegn policy is more strong since snezhnaya prefer use spy and fatui to conduct its mission instead openly declare war And regarding industrial devlopment while soviet hace late but quick devlopment of russia, tsarist russia also make devlopment to to catch up with wester europe (albeit not very much in industry and more smaller compare to soviet)

The Cataclysm is what defined the future and fate of Teyvat, so much so that even their Archons were heavily affected by the tragedy since Celestia called upon them not as Gods of their nations, but likely as weapons of mass destruction. Interestingly, Khanri'ah(?) seemed to be a force to be reckoned with as well considering there were even Archons who died in that event. I wonder how dark Genshin's storyline will become in the future and how it'll impact (pun intended) on our characters' own stories, especially the twins. This is all speculation for now but I truly believe that the twins already have prior connections to Teyvat before they arrived, as if something had pulled them into Teyvat and their arrival wasn't entirely accidental. That, along with the sibling's connection to Khanri'ah itself since they seemed to be the most devastated of its destruction (aside from the cryo archon apparently). Perhaps they helped them evolve their technology and alchemy? Perhaps they were even among Khanri'ah's rulers? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
5 class described in sumeru isn’t class of india , instead it’s class of “hindu” religion . 5th class (untouchable) were oppressed pretty badly . woman had to pay taxes if they cover their breast ( even in public) , if they enter any other classes house or temple it becomes unholy etc . this class system has been gone but still remain little bit of it .
Just for clarification, varna system was not typical caste system and was decided by work not birth. Secondly, Dalit wasn't even part of Varna system and was added in Medieval times(though I agree that they faced discrimination)

Also the tax that you mentioned (breast tax) was actually imposed in previous the state of Kerla till 1859 It's not all India you shouldn't put specific taxes of certain areas in general arguments. You could use so many different better examples for the oppressions on the untouchables
I dont think late aristocracy period mondstadt is absolute monarch sure it was authoritarian but not absolute since lawrence clans rule monstadt with other nobility and their position more like first among equal and not to mention in venti story quest stated no one wear crown in monstadt after decarabian demise Basically the only absolute monarch in monstadt is decarabian 2600 years ago and he didnt rule entire monstadt only western part of it and late aristocracy period monstadt more like noble republic (for example sture regency in late medieval sweden, renaissance period italian city like florence or bologna)

I really like Watatsumi. De jure, they are not a country but de facto, they are a country that even stronger than Mondstadt in some aspect. They also have some limited diplomatic relations with 6 other nations in Teyvat.
Love this analysis. I find Genshin Impact's worldbuilding, especially the political system, interesting. We only have a few hits about the other regions and I can't wait to discover them soon
For a constitutional monarchy to exist, you need a royal family (the aforementioned monarch), so Mondstat wouldn't qualify. I've lived in both Australia and Malaysia, which both have constitutional monarchies. In both places, the Queen/Sultan is the Head of State (in Australia's case, Queen Elizabeth), but they don't have a day to day role in Government. In Australia, a Governor-General is elected to be the Queen's rep and has a few set duties, such as signing off on bills, performing ceremonial duties, or approving the appointments of the Parliament. (I'm not sure if the Malaysian Sultanate also does reps given that they're still in the country.) The Head of the Government - the actual people in charge of running the country is the Prime Minister, based on election. There is a bicarmeral government - the Senate and the House of Representatives, not unlike the US. (The US is a republic, since the President is the leader and there's no monarch involved.) That doesn't seem to be the case for how Mondstat runs, but Fontaine could have a very similar system, or go the full Republic route.

From my understanding the type of government that Snezhnaya would have is probably going to be something similar to Inazuma with a Military kind of dictatorship, I remember there was a video where it points out how Snezhnaya's government has control over the entire nation purely through its military and that it has things like spying on its own citizens kinda like how the Soviet Union got with their KGB but still we won't truly know what Snezhnaya's government works or the other nation's government works until we actually see them in game or in the manga but this video does serve a good insight of what may it be

I think an interesting idea for Natlan is a sort of tribal area where small areas are ruled by warlords and the constant fighting breaks out to prove out who is the strongest.
Whenever speculating about Natlan I think it's important to consider afro-latin american influences tbh. The little girl we see on the roadmap trailer is called Iansan, and that's the name of an entity in religions like Umbanda, Candomblé, Santeria and the Yorubá religion. These are all practiced in Africa and were brought to Latin America later on.

Wasn't the Shogun closest to the Tenryou comssion and therefore the Kujou clan? I mean, she's a military leader after all, it would make sense for the closest to her to be the military. Besides, the Kujou estate is literally besides Tenshukaku.
Yes you do have a fair point but according to one of the NPCs in Tenshokaku (Naoe Hisamasa - the guard near the entrance), he says that the Yashiro Commission appears to be closest to the Shogun so naturally they are closest to the people of Inazuma 🤔 I can't really say for sure if what he says is true as Genshin's lore has many different perspectives and interepretations

Fontaine is speculate to be base in the "new world" in our time line. (aka North America) I will expect it will have a political system somewhat resemble (with elements from) the USA and Canada.
Idk if this is popular opinion or not, but the size of these supposed "nations" in game world is quite....small.... It's almost the size of villages. There's no way they can have population of more than 2000, especially Inazuma
