No thank you!!! For showing and teaching us all how so many different parts of the 3D world works and it is all put together!! And for showing us how to create beautiful stylized art!! Take a well deserved break u more than deserve it
Honestly really respect the honesty and the communication between this channel and its viewers. Love the content in whatever form it is in, REST UP and look forward to whenever it kicks off again next year!
Take your time, you deserve the rest. Every single video I've watched from you fuelled my passion for game development and 3d Art. Thanks and come back strong!
Hey Man! Just wanted to say: THANK YOU. You worked so hard, and pushed so hard and it affected and helped us so much. You inspired so many pepole here in so many area of interests: if it's about Game develop, Art, Or even RU-vid it self. I can say about my self, you helped me in all those 3 areas. You inspired me to make a game, make a RU-vid channel that covers its develop and release a video. So thanks again, it wouldn't happen without you. Take all the rest you need We will be here waiting for your return.
Because people are somewhat obsessed of photorealism. They wanna see how close we can get to realism on a computer, which is cool and all but majority confuse it with good graphics.
It makes me feel so good that people I admire are talking about their mental health. I also fight against it and see that it is possible to live with burnout and It's ok to take a break really makes me keep going. Thank you for the awesome content but above all thank you for being open about your personal life. Please, take your time. We will be here waiting when you feel better.
Hey Thomas, thanks for the video and for the many you've created and posted this year. I've been in the games industry for nearly three decades and completely understand the need to constantly strive to do better with every project. I think it's easy to forget that sometimes changes don't have to be huge to keep your audience with you. You've built this channel up from nothing with the excellent content you make - quite often the feedback is keep up the great work! Creatives and content makers are the worst when it comes to satisfaction and tend to heap pressure on themselves to raise a bar that's already in a great place. Enjoy your break, take it easy and as the other people have commented, we'll all be here when you get back. Take care.
Take your time and it's good to react quickly. I used to extremely overdo it and it took me years of therapy in order to get back to being able to work. Best wishes to you and take care!
Great video, also a lot respect that you found your limits and tell us about it. That takes a lot of strength. I am a bit in the same boat, fighting burnout, but still trying to fight through it to be productive, but I notice the mental toll more and more. Hopefully my pressure is off next year. Through the lines of this video, you can hear you are strict on yourself, in which I can find myself as well. Be careful, if the pressure is valid or if you impose it on yourself. I am looking forward to your video about the burnout next year, I'd love to see your view on it - I'll probably learn a lot from it. Please take your rest, do things because you wanna do them, not because you 'have' to do them. Manage your energy as good as you can. Most of all: try to still have fun and enjoy life, that makes things a lot easier. All the best for the coming period and an early happy new year! (couldn't word myself properly, but I feel this gets the gist of it.)
Dude, I totally get it, burn out is really rough, and its so important to take care of yourself. Enjoy your break, and really try to get your mind off of creating content (if possible, I know I struggle with that all the time). Happy holidays!
Take a break. Enjoy the fruits of your labor for a change. We love you and everything you’ve given us; the free knowledge, the entertainment, the premium courses are bigger gifts than we all deserve.
there is not a single thing I can say here that hasn't already been said, but to restate, thank you for everything, and enjoy your break. you've earned it.
Take some rest, everyone needs ! Thank you so much, i learned a lot with you, its so cool to see a brazilian be so damn good in the area, you inspired me.
Take as much time as you need! Try new things and have fun! That's where great content comes from anyway. You might feel like you have a duty to the community, but your biggest duty is to yourself, and disregarding that would be doing both you and us a disservice. I love your videos, big and small. Will be when you get back :)
Hang in there. Thank you so much for the high quality videos you’ve been putting up. Hope you end this year with much peace, and start the next with reenergized passion
Definitely take care of yourself and I’m glad that you don’t sound guilty about it. Thanks for creating inspiring videos and for being a great member of this community. Happy holidays and enjoy the break! 🎉
i discovered this channel just today and i have beinged all of 'how fire/water/grass/x is made' style videos. really cool niche i didnt really knew existed. thanks for this and take rest, i am just glad i found this channel.
Thomas, you did and you do a great job on your videos. I met your channel a couple of months ago and I watched all your videos. You do that because you have passion for your work. That's great! I'm sure everybody here is wishing you're okay and that you can recover from your burnout. I'm sure people wouldn't mind if you decrease the number of videos you upload. If that will make your quality of life better, then do it! We all love games, but real life doesn't have 1-up or continues. Take care of yourself and Happy Holidays, to you and your family!
We have all been there sometime in our life, when we just don't want to do the things that we normally do. And that's totally fine. Just take your time, rejuvenate your soul, and have a great festive season, meet your family and friends and just take a chill pill. Looking forward to see you next year again.
Your quality is already awesome, so take a rest, continue doing what you do, no pressure, it's free videos ! Have a good day and can't wait to see your content on 2023
This made me emotional! I'm not into posting, I'm not event a game artist, but I enjoy a lot your content. This channel is great, and this is because you've done a great work. So thank you for that, dude. And if it helps, you literally are an inspiration to try and become a gave dev or even just a 3D artist, something I've had try to forget for years. Thank you for bringing that back. Take your time, rest, enjoy who you love. We will be here, ok? Big hug and see you soon, Thomas!
It doesn’t matter if you upload videos often, you matter more. Take your time to take a break. We can wait however much you want. You deserve a break if you need one ❤
Take all the time you need and focus on you! And thank you for all your time spent on the videos you've put out, they've been extremely informative, entertaining, and inspiring to a lot of people from all facets of digital art including myself. We'll all be looking forward to the things you create when you're feeling motivated again. Enjoy the rest of the year! :)
So I just came across your channel. The last video I watched was the one about how to make money using Blender. In that video, you mentioned that a lot of RU-vid creators are overworked, and matter of fact you made that video even though you should be spending time with family. So I'm not surprised about this video and that you're burnout. Please remember that your mental health >>> everything. Your family >>> everything. I really hope you're enjoying your time off and things are going alright!
You're killing it bro. As a new Freelance Artist, shifting from a 25+ year career to being my own boss. You certainly create a lot of brain food, and help fill in some technical and knowledge gaps and provide fantastic leads on numerous subjects leading to investigations deeper on a particular topic or skill. Have a great holiday seasons yourself. Well deserved. As we say in the Navy for a job well done in 2022. "Bravo Zulu". See you on the flip side. - Eagle 1 Art Studio.
i am literally out of words, will always be greatful for what Stylized Station has taught us and will teach us in the future. Hope to see you soon and trust me what people are commenting regarding thier experiemce with Stlyized Station is all true and i relate to it so much. Wishing you all the Best :)
Thank you Thomas, for telling us this about yourself. I think it’s very brave from you 💪. I hope you’ll heal well. It doesn’t need to be quick, it can take as long as needed. Just as long as it goes the right direction for you, keep doing what makes you feel good. Thank you for everything you gave us. Words can not describe how much you, and I mean you as a person, and also everything you created are worth. Once again, thanks ❤
Take your time and rest all you need, we'll still be here when you'll post again. I only recently discovered this channel and I am still consuming your content slowly and I find your videos very helpful and insightful and I can't thank you enough for that, to create this content for free. Honestly props on the glitchy feel at the beginning of the video, I felt creeped out a little (I actually pinched myself too just in case). Rest well buddy, and happy holidays to you too.
I discovered this channel recently as I started getting interest in game development and game art. The way you just present information about games in such a digestable way. I'm very grateful for, as I struggle with learning new things. Take all the time you need, health is important and always number one. We'll all wait for you to come back :)
Wish you a great break & all the best 💙 Your health can only take so much & comes first. I know it's easier said than done but the best thing you can do is take care of yourself- we are far more productive when well rested, in good (mental health) etc. So stressing yourself will only keep hindering you & making things worse. Thank you for your honesty 💕
Welcome to burnout wagon. Have a happy rest. Your vids are so inspirational for me, love watching them, yet cannot make myself to actually dabble again after work hours.
Have all the time you want ! i'll still watch your videos that are all awesome, you are super strong to push through a burnout to complete projects or smaller ones it's not easy. I too abandoned a project of mine that was incredible and i moved on from this one, it teached me many things on many subject. I still do the same fundamental things i was doing but in another engine (moved from SOURCE to UE5) and i don't regret it more than i worried about, it's so refreshing. So from the bottom of my heart Thank you for this amazing year and all the topics you've covered + all your energy put into each one of your videos ! Hope that you rest properly and discover new things ! xoxoxo
Thanks man for all your videos, take your time to rest, be with your family and friends, your community will wait for you to return when you'll feel like it, no rush, a content of quality takes time to do it and we all know that...
My question was never “how” but rather “why” To this day I don’t understand what realism achieves. A unique style would just look so much better and make the game stand out. Edit: nvm this video is about burnout my comment suddenly feels out of place
Well, just wanted to say you totally deserved this break. Working on something you put a lot of will into for too long will eventually result in a burnout and it's perfectly understandable. Now when it comes to your videos, I'm not even interested in game design but the way you explain stuff is just really really interesting to me, your videos are just built in a very good way to keep them fresh and entertaining, and there's some tips you give that can be used for not only game design, but for pretty much everything, so your channel isn't only entertaining but also incredibly helpful when it comes to motivation and work. Just wanted to thank you for all of this, and to say I love your videos! Hope you come back stronger next year and wish you a merry christmas and happy new year!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I've learned more about game art and tips from you this year than I did doing courses on Game dev and art. Your content is really one of its kind. Take rest, there is no need to overdo it man. We will keep the flag high in the meantime.
I just found your channel recently as I'm jumping into learning Unreal engine, and I want to sincerely thank you for the amount of work you've done. Tons of valuable insight and inspiration for me and many others! I look forward to seeing your future work in whatever form it takes.
Hey man you deserve it. You've made some really interesting and awesome vids. Been making me want to learn how to make a game even more. (Yeah I already wanted to learn it but kinda lazy lol) Thank you for these vids and have a chill and worthwhile break :D
Take your time. Take as much of a break as you need, but I do hope that when you come back you do cover hyper-realistic characters. I feel like there's probably a lot of hidden tricks and stuff that goes into that, as you've explained in other videos.
Please do not attempt to "push through" burnout; it'll only make it worse and lengthen recovery time. Please take care of yourself. The videos (and the RU-vid audience) can wait.
Burnout is a hell of a thing. It’s very important to carefully examine and plan the future of the channel by taking a step back. Have a good break and I personally can’t wait to see what video projects you’ll have in 2023
