To increase the size of your Azure VM OS disk, you can follow these steps:
Stop the VM. You cannot resize a disk that is attached to a running VM.
Navigate to the VM in the Azure portal.
**Select Disks under Settings.
Select the OS disk.
**Select Size + performance under Settings.
Enter the new disk size. The new size must be greater than the existing disk size. The maximum allowed size is 4,095 GB for OS disks.
**Select Resize.
The Azure portal will resize the disk. Once the resize is complete, you can start the VM again.
Note: If your OS disk is using a managed disk type that supports resizing without downtime, you can skip step 1 and resize the disk while the VM is running.
Here are some additional things to keep in mind when resizing your Azure VM OS disk:
The OS disk must be using a managed disk type that supports resizing.
The new disk size must be greater than the existing disk size.
The maximum allowed size for OS disks is 4,095 GB.
Resizing a disk may take some time, depending on the size of the disk.
If you are resizing a disk that contains data, make sure to back up the data before resizing.
I hope this helps!
