In our experience, fishtailing around corners can also be described by many different names but all point to a similar issue with carts that get tugged. When we say tugged, this can mean that you are pulling a single cart behind a tugger, or that you have a mother/daughter (parent/child) cart set up and could have as many as 5-6 carts tugging behind a single tugger.
We have found this to be an issue regardless of the length of the trailer(s) behind it so we did a video and wrote a blog.

Problem: Carts with swivel casters can fishtail around corners, causing damage to products, people, or property (0:15).
Cause: The freely swiveling casters can swing out when making tight turns, due to the tugging force (0:28).
Solutions:
Lock the swivel casters: Engage the swivel locks on the back casters to make the cart track like a trailer (0:43).
Replace swivel casters with fixed casters: This provides more stability for the cart (0:58).
Consult Caster Concepts sales rep: For extreme cases or long trains of carts, they can recommend solutions like swivel locks connected to cable systems (1:08).
Additional tips:
Locking the casters on the back cart of a train of carts can help reduce swing radius (1:20).
Adding an extra cart to the train can also help stabilize it (1:23).
