Tiffany, this is Larry who attended your San Francisco concert and gave you the photo book as a gift. What a surprise you included the unboxing in a video! I’m glad you like it and I hope you enjoy it. Come back to San Francisco so we can all enjoy more of your music 😊. Wish you every success in your upcoming concerts.

It makes me smile how excited you are to play for people. It makes me a little sad that I was only about an hour away from your Gilmore performance, but I did not know about it or you at the time. One day I hope to be in the room to experience that magic. I also find it amusing that your piano's subtitles suggests it feels lucky to experience your playing as well. Wise piano. 😄

the two timelines intermixed in this episode works really, really well. one is comforting, welcoming, and conversational, and the other cerebral, experiential, and exploratory. together they tell a wonderful, well paced story. thank you for the journey.

Happy always to see your videos they really motivates me to go on seeing other people struggling for what they love. Now I'm preparing my first exam in conservatory I'm a little anxious but luckily it's only the piano exam, I'm hoping to nail it but I'm a bit scared because I've discovered only these days that I have to prepare an Harpsichord piece (that seemed weird to me because I also have to prepare Bach) so I decided to do the Scarlatti k.380 I'm practicing it very hard and luckily I hope to do it right and I also hope to play all the other pieces that I'm preparing.

As long as you have a refined technique you are able to afford risks such as this one. People think sometimes it takes only 3 months to learn Chopin’s Etude ops 25 , because they have mistakenly assumed that based on an interview with Daniil Trifonov after winning Rubstein completion . He had a spot on technique before practicing the etudes. He had already studied them for years in the past . The three months were only to remember the etudes again. Another mistake people make is to assume you do not need to practice technique because Martha Argerich had said that she never practiced scales or any other technique. However people forget details such as : Liszt and Rachmaninoff practiced A LOT of exercises . Even more than pieces. And so many great pianists also recommend to practice technique . Hope people understand that each case is a case and a spot on technique is a must in this career!

The Clara Schumann Romance in B minor seams to be a very beautiful piece of music. I don't know it,but with the portion you played I can tell that is a beautiful romantic piece of music and I will search for the score and recording. I think that if you have a chance to play as much music composed by women it would be a good relief now considering what is sadly happening in the world. May I suggest some of Lili Boulanger works or Germaine Taillefer. Above all a huge thank you for your perseverance in sharing great and beautiful music, it's really appreciated.

The unhurried life of a deep artist who is very happy when performing (and especially when concerts are lined up!) Related personal anecdote (if you are interested): I did not like the hall experience after a concert, even though I receive compliments (for artistic naturalism, though I thought I became super-precise in front of audiences). So I would lose myself in the art in the hall, wondering what I could do with it. Even after a rock concert (when I did that) I would just leave. Much (much) later I realized the problem was philosophical (specifically, Continued Universal Human Cluelessness, which I've addressed with the Philosophy of Broader Survival, which gave me the needed broader perspective that I needed). On another note, it is fascinating that you do everything on your own, without a huge staff doting on every little thing like a pampered pop star would experience (and which would ruin your character)...

I hope to be able to see you in person one day. If you ever come to the Texas gulf coast, let me know. You'll need a bodyguard, well, a guard for your food if you eat outdoors. I've seen seagulls steal food then poop on people. Those birds are not really evil, but seem more greedy and not thankful. Some folks find them beautiful and feed them even when there are signs warning people to not do that. They will take food off of your plate without even saying thank you. They just squawk, poop, then come back for more. I have played keyboard with a band at an open air waterfront venue. The gulls stayed away from the band's food and beer and worked the crowd. But if we left things unattended, the crowd might steal some beer and the gulls would get your food. I have experience. I'd love to hear and see you in person. Keep striving...
