I love it, I saved this video. I so want to do what you do, work from home, I want to semi-retire and live my best life. Yes, thank you for being transparent. I live in the next state from you, solo, but you have gave me so much hope. Please keep making videos and sharing! I hope to meet you someday, again thank you!
Great video, as always. Thank you for the information. I'm hoping to work remotely in Mexico one day and always I am trying to think of ways to do so. Your story is very inspirational. I will keep thinking about my expertise and how I can use it.
I have youtube premium so i don't get any ads but for creators that have great value i will buy them a coffee, do a paypal donation etc at various times as a thank you. I think it's really important to support people that have really helped me in my move to Mexico and you are one of them :)
Amazing that you are getting the word out about the carbon monoxide issue in Mexico so yes of course EVERYONE should travel with such a life saving device. I enjoyed this video. New subscriber here :). P.S. Please mention that travel detector on your channel as well.
I was just working on my schedule for Chapala and Ajijic later this month. I've got lots of interviews planned, plus I'm working on a real estate tour and some other fun stuff.
hi Brighton, something i'll put out there as a creator myself...if your subs (or anyone watching) starts watching your video and right clicks on the RU-vid tab at the top of the screen..they will see a choice for "Duplicate" (it's about mid-way down the choices) if they then click on duplicate you have two of your youtube video's running at once....the first one they can mute the sound and let run through the ads/content until the end...but really watch the 2nd tab (the duplicate) and they can fast forward through the commercials....this gives you x 2 the views and all the commercials from start to finish. I do this as a matter of course for those folks I like to support anyway I can. Anyway I hope some of the folks out there read this and do the same! Take care, Martha
Thank you for sharing your info. I also like the sound of that portable carbon monoxide monitor, that alone could be a life saver! Happy trails, Brighton!
Yes - Associates is open to anyone. Influencers need to have a social media following on Instagram, RU-vid, Tik Tok, etc. www.amazon.com/b?node=53623819011
You must be an expert at something. I can't remember who said it, but the quote was something like, "Read 4 books on one subject and you'll know more than 99% of people."
Uff just spent 5 days in Guadalajara checking out the entire area...Lets just says its not for me..Met a great grooomer for my dog.Thats about it...Am in CDMX now...its a world of difference here...To each their own I guess...Its a nightmare traveling in Mexico with my dog...sin un carro..:(
Wow - travel with a dog and not a car sounds like a challenge. I'm a bit worried about GDL now. I loved CDMX and I was thinking it would be similar. What part of town did you stay in? It looks like a huge place with at least three "downtown" areas.
@@AlmostRetiredinMexico I have been to GDL many times.. each time is completely different because of the people I was with... It has EVERYTHING! maybe reach out to the"Back packing Brunet" I think she recently moved there from Querétaro area... I really love the different areas of GDL and my short visit to Lake Chapala had me wanting to go back for MORE!!
@hivolco151 Thanks! GDL looks huge and seems like it has a bit of everything. Unfortunately, Backpacking Brunette is currently in the US. But you're right, she's a new resident of GDL. I'll be meeting with @TrulyRemarkableLife in Ajijic. We are planning a happy hour for viewers.
@@AlmostRetiredinMexico Chapelita was the best area I found...near the plaza mall. I packed my dog and a suitcases with the intentions of finding a new place to live in Central or South America.. I lived in Miraflores Lima Peru for 6 years... I will be headed back there tomorrow to live for a while again.. The food is world class and certain parts of the city are very well kept and organized.. other parts not so much..lol . It's Latin America you know the drill 😂
How about start a RU-vid channel? 😀 The guy in this video teaches photography to tourists: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jGBUfPjAGh0.html You'll need to be creative as you don't want to take work from locals, and you don't want to earn local wages. Maybe shoot stock photos and sell online?
My wife makes videos for Amazon for reviews on all products she receives, but I want her to do what you do on making short video for those "products /owners"on Amazon... What is the best way for her to get started... she has reviewed 100's of products already, now she want to make money like you do... any suggestions on who to contact?
You need to have a social media following somewhere like Instagram, RU-vid or TikTok to qualify. I'm not sure why, but that seems to be the rule. I have another channel with 25,000 subscribers, and I think that's how I originally got into the program. She can learn more at affiliate-program.amazon.com/influencers
@@AlmostRetiredinMexico My husband says the best part about being retired is getting up in the morning with nothing to do, and at the end of the day only having half of it done.
Gooood for you Mr B. Here's another 1/2 cent for you. LOL Damn you work cheap. Good content and quite affordable too. You should get a raise. PS Get me some robotic mowers and I'll give you my percentage. 😇😁😇 P n D
Lemme see what I can do ;-) They may not want to ship to Canada. Many don't want to ship to Mexico because it's more expensive - so my Amazon video making is mostly limited to my time in the US (or products that I bring down to Mexico.)
Starlink is a good option. We have TelMex fiber and Starlink as a backup. Both work really well for Zoom calls, etc. Starlink in Mexico is a bit cheaper than it is in the US. And I believe it's available all over Mexico (I think there is a wait list in parts of the US.)
