How do I overcome my fear of evangelism? 

We need to love those who don't know Christ more than ourselves!!

I already lost my family on my dads side, because I denounced and left Catholicism to be a born again Christian. They don’t talk to me anymore. I have no wife or girlfriend and I’m 50 years old, so I’m used to rejection.

I would suggest to ask your pastor to welcome a culture, within the church, to say that it’s okay to practice witnessing to those you know to already be Christians. This way it opens avenues of communication between people with like minds.

Start small then work your way up to sharing with people on the street. Do internet evangelism, Facebook, RU-vid... have plenty of places to proclaim the Gospel.

Best solution. Pray about, commit to it on a certain day, ask others to pray about that day. Then do it. Just go ask people who they think Jesus is, then tell them who he really is. I knew no one who had ever done evangelism, and was terrified the first time I went. After years of doing it this verse comes to mind "the wicked flee when no on pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion." There is nothing to actually be afraid of in America, just do it.

If one is honest with himself/herself....fear is all about yourself. It's not about the non-believers or evangelism itself. You're focused too much on "YOU" instead of the people and the Great Commission. Start passing out quality tracts at restaurants, drive-thrus, check outs, mail, a bathroom stall etc. Tracts take the focus off of you and respect the privacy of the unbeliever.

For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10..... "By this is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be My disciples. "John 15:8...... " I am the vine and you are the branches, every man that abides in Me as I also abide in Him, he is the one who bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. " John 15:5.... Then this direct command of Christ Jesus: " All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth, go ye therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you, and lo I am with you always even to the end of the age. " Matthew 28:18-20....! The Great Commission Command of Matthew 28:18-20 has evangelism as its beginning yet goes way beyond just evangelism. Making Disciples in the exact same manner and intention as that demonstrated by Christ Himself in the gospel narratives, answers the prayer to the Lord of the harvest to raise up workers for the harvest! Matthew 9:37-38. For the harvest is ripe yet the workers are still so very few. Every New convert in the book of Acts was discipled to be a discipling disciple of Christ Jesus. Then history and the book of Acts records that 1st century church ( ekklesia- called out ones ) taking the gospel to the whole known world of there day inside of 70 years from the Day of Pentecost. What then have we accomplished in our day? Fully 5 Billion people on this planet today who have never, ever, heard even one redemptive word of Christ Jesus, ( The Gospel ) Christ said this: " This gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a witness to all the nations and then the end will come. " Matthew 24:14..... And Christ said this as well, " If you love Me you will obey My commandments. " John 14:15...... Well.... Do We?

I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I've been saved since 1992. I have a personal testimony. That being said I would rather have someone befriend me 1st rather than just leaving one of these tracts on my doorstep. Just seems kinda cold or that they just wanted to complete a checklist.I can't judge someone else's heart. Tracts have their place but I feel funny when I find one of these on my doorstep without at least a door knock. Just sayin.

Please do not refer to your offspring as kids. A kid is a baby goat. The offspring of human beings are called children. To say kids is disrespectful of your children.
