That’s so true, what I always remind myself is that faith without work is dead. Miracles do happen and god does provide but he also gave us wisdom, knowledge and understanding. With his words and his examples as our guide, we should know how to handle ourselves, even if it’s just to take the first leap and he’ll do the rest. But patience is definitely key, because sometimes what we desire at a set time may not be for us at that time, and that causes some to question God and ask him but lord why didn’t you grant me this and that? But it takes patience and definitely strong faith. The scripture even reminds us that from the sweat of your brow, man shall eat bread. I agree with a lot of what was said, God knows our every desire and needs but he wants us to seek him and to pour out to him as Felicia would have said.
I’m wondering if you can please clarify to me what you meant when u said “preparing yourself to serve Stephen”? I don’t want to interpret you the wrong way. You will have that love with the help of the spirit indeed. I really admire the two of you and your teachings are very similar to my church. I attend “seven day church of God” we are based in Salem West Virginia.
Thank you Serena! So what I meant by "serving Stephen" is similar to how we serve other people; we serve our parents, children, neighbors, strangers, and spouses. How I "serve" him is different as a wife compared to before we were married. The call is more intense and requires stronger faith. A nurse can serve her patients or a teacher can serve his students. Jesus calls us to serve each other but we need humility. Does that bring clarity? How were you understanding it?
