Right now, the one I struggle most with is "Word before world"...I don't always win the battle of the snooze button but it's something I'm working on 😅a great passage to work on memorizing if you are trying to take your thoughts captive is 1 Peter 5:6-11 which says, "Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time He may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. To Him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen." Comment "amen" if you're going to work on memorizing this one! 🙏🏼
This was perfect timing Kaci - I have been struggling the past few days with an increase of anxious thoughts and worrying to the point of it feeling tormenting - it’s the most intense spiritual warfare. I can feel so utterly hopeless in some moments but I know I can take my thoughts captive - I have fell off my Scripture reading in the morning but am trying to get back to healthy habits after a physical health setback the past few months. This is the greatest encouragement. Thank you 🤍
Hey kitty I would recommend the book Holy Spirit: The Bondage Breaker: Experience Permanent Deliverance from Mental, Emotional, and Demonic Strongholds by David Diga Hernandez. This book has helped me immensely, as I also suffer from torment, however I feel more and more relief as I surround myself with God’s word. Remember as Christians we are already fighting from a place of victory 💪🏿💪🏿

Kaci I just want to say God is sooo good! I was thinking about this scripture last night. And I was on the phone with my sister telling her how my thoughts spin put of control often to the point where it physically exhausts me. I thought about this verse and I asked myself this exact question "How do I take my thoughts captive?" It's crazy that today I see this video. Came at the right time. Thank you sooo much

I am doing great with starting my day and ending my day with His Good News I struggle with the middle section of my day. I’ve been having perverted thoughts, I’d see them creeping and try to think of something else but sometimes they’d win. I asked God to help and I believe I’m delivered even though I don’t see it yet.
This video came right on time. Right before I saw the video, I was weeping in my bed, overthinking and literally torturing myself… I couldn’t even pray. Then this video came up. It’s amazing how God shows up to us in the smallest things 🙏🏾

Hi Kaci I am new to your channel and I struggle with taking my thoughts captive every day. I've been a Christian for 36 years have raised 4 children in church and now raising an 11 year old in church. So needless to say I have always struggled with worry and anxiety. How do I take my thoughts captive when sometimes they seem so elusive, so quickly passing through, almost unnoticeable. Sometimes they seem almost subconscious, they’re so quick, like a whisper. Lol This seems like alot of work and practice
This was very encouraging. I struggle with over thinking,...my mind tends to replay conversations I've recently had and pin point what I may have said wrong or how I said it wrong. Then if I go back to the person to try and make it right, they usually never took my words as being wrong like my thoughts try to tell me. It's always just me and my over thinking. Sorry, your interpretation is out of context. Paul is battling his opponents in the Corinthian church here, not his own thoughts. Paul is talking about overcoming (taking captive) arguments and opinions against his teaching as an Apostle. Just read the previous verse where he identifies his opponents as "some who" >1 Cor 10:2> "I beg of you that when I am present I may not have to show boldness with such confidence as I count on showing against SOME WHO suspect us of walking according to the flesh". And then the following verse where Paul is ready with the authority of an Apostle "to punish every disobedience" (verse 6). If your interpretation were correct, then we would have to "punish the disobedience" of our own thoughts! Context, context, context! Always follow the flow of thought in context. Otherwise you risk coming up with your own ideas, or you'll just simply parrot what everyone else believes is the correct interpretation.... even when it is not
