Unlike other football concepts where you can find multiple explanations online, this is by FAR the best that I have ever seen on this subject! I have been searching online for months for an explanation of pass pro. I've stared at so many playbooks and just couldn't get it. Thank you so much J.T. for doing this. Unlike others, you have the educational credentials that gives you the skills to instruct in a clear and concise fashion. I'm a teacher, myself, so I recognize quality!

I get that you were saying this was from a QB perspective but you taught this old offensive lineman a lot. At the levels I was at there was no plan for blitzes. It was have good peripheral vision and put a hat on a linebacker if you see them coming. Watching the NFL on TV line calls were intimidating. This is the position I play and I have no idea what they are doing. Now that I know a few basics it makes so much more sense to me. I have seen you say its the QB school not the OL school but you cleared up a lot for me.

Best Channel I have come across since @mrweatherman. I've been an NFL fan since I saw my first SB in 1998. And wasn't very as a non-American to understand the game to the point where I understand to enjoy it. But it took a while to understand in depth details to fully understand the game and why certain calls etc, to truly love the game.. Back then when something new /something I don't understand came up and it was hindering me from enjoying the game I usually research it and the examples/explanations weren't great (because they were geared towards someone who does know about a. football to begin with) so it would take me a while to figure it out. Trust me you explain things so simply and beautifully even if you already understood, you give a better insight than any commentator or article can.

Your videos are so informative. For me the terminology is what I appreciate. If you watch enough football you start to see obvious patterns in what the offense and the Quarterback is doing. I just didn’t know how to describe it or what to call certain things. Also as many know it all armchair QBs out there who think they know football because they beat their friends in Madden online. You should have a million subscribers! I hope you get more subscribers. I’m certainly going to hype up the QB School. I’m going to say ….fine don’t believe me! Just go subscribe to QB School. @TheQBSchool
@TheQBSchool 4 года назад
Depends
@doomtho42
@doomtho42 3 года назад
It matters a lot in that you absolutely have to diligently and consistently put in the hard work to maintain peak physical conditioning. In another sense, though, it matters very little because virtually EVERY high-level athlete trains a comparable amount, and thus the concept of diminishing returns comes into play. In other words, if you legitimately want to play high-level football in HS/college/beyond, you 100% need to be hitting the weight room 3-4 days a week with a WELL-STRUCTURED, CONSISTENT plan (including realistic, measurable benchmarks/goals), in addition to maintaining a proper diet to achieve/maintain a target weight + body fat %, as well as getting in at least an hour of high-intensity cardio exercise daily, and - oh, yeah - practicing/studying the game of football as many hours per week as you possibly can. Also please please please make sure you always lift with good/proper form - you'll see far better + faster results, in addition to the benefit of, y'know, not-destroying your body and/or severely injuring yourself.

Question: why on obvious passing downs do defenses not say like up three or 4 speedy players on the same side? Would seem unblockable as it would force the QB to move around in the pocket or roll out to the opposite side (where a contain player could be). Basically my Q is why do defenses not show something more exotic than an odd or even front when there’s no threat of run
