Working as a survey pilot with 5-6 hour flights at a time, with and without folks in the front seat… this is my whole life in an 8 minute video. The key is strategic dehydration!

Also, just like a truck driver, you can toss it out the window when the FAA isn't looking. That IS what that fancy window crank in your airplane is for, right? To lower the window?

A couple I used to fly with were exchanging gifts at Christmas. It was probably around 1980. She got him a H.E.R.E. (Human element Range Extender!). I think she got it from Sporty's. The funniest thing about it was that it was calibrated in ounces so you could keep track of your " processed liquids"! Obviously the container was re-purposed from another product, but it made for a few laughs...

If you were a dedicated fly fisherman as I am, you'd know about a condom catheter and a urine bag strapped to your leg. I have done that several times when I knew I was routed over areas where there would be few 'facilities' that I could divert to. I have a small tank, and I have been known to need to go, sometimes more than once within a short time, so there is that. With a catheter, you can just go without worry. Just be sure to empty the bag at the FBO when you land.

Ahh, I remember when airplanes had _"relief tubes"_ that would draw "liquids" out of the aircraft. The venturi effect would draw a vacuum and as long as you were moving, there was no maximum amount of liquid waste.

The solution my wife and I have is applicable for those older and less nimble pilots. We never, never, never fly if number two is possible. Now that is out of the way, let's deal with number one. We have a Cessna 182. Of course, we can fly at a lower cruising speed for a longer time. In the end (no pun intended) flying faster and using up more fuel requiring stopping for refueling takes longer than flying slower and having a range of 600 miles. At the slower speed the maximum time we can be aloft with 20 gal reserve is 5 hours. We keep hydrated but not overly so, and we wear diapers. Adult ones not the baby model. We recently flew from Portland, Oregon to Greer, SC via California, for a total of 2,600 miles in 5 legs (we each already had two legs). My wife never needed the diaper. I must confess I needed it on the final leg about half an hour before landing. It was a peeutiful experience.

Instant classic. From personal experience it is much harder to do even solo unless you have an autopilot...trust me.

Another option to answer nature in flight would be to just use a diaper (IIRC, some NASA astronauts did). Not only can they be used by anyone, but they can also be used to go #2 as well.
