Broken shields also tank excess damage from a single hit. So if there were to be a shield on a Gargantuan with 23 points left and a 4-2 Demolitionist (50 dmg) were to deal a direct hit, it would only deal 23 dmg and negate the other 27. It's more noticeable with 4-2 Electricizers due to the 590 dmg they do per shot. Because of this, it's good to have high firerate towers like Vulcan and Sharpshooter to counter this.
Forgot to add that shields don't take away base hp. An example would be: a raygunner has 140 (or something i don't know) and has 40 shield. If the raygunner were to enter the base and you still have 200 hp you would lose only 140 hp because shield doesn't count as taking away your base hp.
i was orginally gonna bring that up in the video, but i don't think it has a big enough impact on the game to be worth mentioning since most enemies with shields have more than 200 health anyways
@@GripFist true but in the winter event there is something called helper elf. It gives shields which uh may kill you if you cant destroy him or there shield in time.
The only way you can know is that their health doesn't go down, also if you reset there's a chance the layout changes to that of pc (don't worry you can place and sell towers)
