A couple of months ago Can-Am released the all new Outlander 500 and 700 to take place of the 450 and 570 units, but are they really an improvement? We think YES!

I wonder how good that 700 would be at plowing snow

Did you find a big difference in power? 700 RPM always seems higher. what is the best cost x benefit ?

We would really like to get our hands on a couple of factory demo units so we can take them out and get some real miles on them to really do a deep comparison between the two, but on our test course we have, I did feel a noticeable power difference between the two! Admittedly, I was riding the 700 a little more spiritedly as I got more comfortable on the new chassis, which is evident in the video when I switched to the 700. The 500 feels like it has decent enough power if mostly what you are looking to do is light trail riding, or light yard work (ie, plowing a smaller driveway in winter, or pulling around a smaller yard trailer to haul a small load of rocks or logs) The 700 right off the line has a more significant feel in pulling power/torque - on trail, this would translate to a more playful feel At an $800 price difference, if you are looking for the best bang for buck, I think the 700 would be the better buy. If you are just looking for the cheapest option from one of the big name manufactures, the 500 is a good fit. If what you are looking for is a more serious machine to do real work or higher pace/harder trail riding, you would be better off forgoing the 500/700 all together and stepping up to the 850 chassis!

CC or enginewise they are same 650 cc. 10 horsepower difference between those and some other not so important difference
