I think the Louza injury and the fact that TDB has played a lot of minutes combined with the emergence of Baah in particular means we might see Kayembe dropping back into the double pivot more often now.

@@benthornhill7903yeah I was positive about VI we looked great at the start and very positive but ran out of steam pretty early on and immediately I could see he was a overall boring guy and didn’t really get the spirit or energy of the team going once in a rut

If Dwomoh isn't ready, Louza is out for months and Tom is calling for it, then a midfielder is probably needed but I wouldn't have thought the club will spend significant funds on a peak aged player. I would imagine a short term loan would be the way they would go. Maybe an Udinese cast off being easiest and most likley as a stop gap. But we do have the flexibility within the squad to accommodate the injury. Both Kayembe and Giorgi can play deeper which still leaves Baah, Vata, Ince, Ken and even Bayo who could deputise in the 10 role.
Obviously there's other stuff going into this transformation but I wonder if we are benefitting from the equivalent of a reduction in relative inequality. We know in wider society that relative inequality causes all sorts of social issues, I would assume the same goes in smaller social groups such as football squads. I'm assuming the wage structure of the squad is a lot tighter than it has been. But there is also a real balance to the squad. There aren't any sore thumbs that think they're better than anyone else or have higher ambitions e.g. Dennis, Asprilla, Sarr. This kind of levelling appears to have had some kind of galvanising effect on the group.
