Cut to the Chase~! Buff it off~! lol~!! video shows how resistant ceramic coating can be~! if you want to remove, you decon first then Attack it with polisher~!
Yeah I would of just buffed it. It gives off a weird sweet smell as it’s getting burned off Such a slog just to hear something I already knew. Unfortunate
I think most people know you just polish it off for paint, but I actually found this is good video for textured trim, matte paint, and protection films. This was helpful to for me cause I needed to remove a messed up coating on exterior trim on a Jeep.
Holy cow! I've been waiting for a new video this entire week but I didn't see this one coming😱 Pan, I gotta tell you this was one serious torture test, I have never seen anyone do this kind of test on RU-vid! Awesome entertainment, see you on the next one👋🏻
I hope you'd split the hood into sections where you try each product individually. I have a ceramic coating and i want to remove it. However, i don't know which worked from the products, is it the product it self or the repetitive applying and changing the product.
The ONLY way to ensure 100% removal of a ceramic coating is by machine polishing. That’s the entire point of this video. Did you watch my video until the end??
Great video Pan! I do have a question though, do you think that leaving the products sitting on the paint longer, that it would have accelerated the breakdown?
Hello Pan, another great video!!! Question, I had a graphene coating put on my black sedan by a "professional" coating installer. Fast forward to 90 days since applied, I noticed the other day in the sunlight a few streaks in the application. Why did I not see that before? Good question, simple answer is, I do not drive the vehicle that much. But now that I noticed it, I reached out to the installer and guess what, they are no longer located in IL and are now in Arizona. So, back to the question I have to ask, can I reapply another layer of the coating or, do I have to wait years before applying again?
It must be time to turn in that lease and get a new one? I wasn't surprised by this result at all. I've heard that Pro Plus basically needs to be wet sanded to be removed fully.
@@PanTheOrganizer usually people like us have no problem selling or trading in our vehicles, more often than not I get, "let me know if you ever want to sell it" from friends and neighbors.
OK Pan, polishing. But you also mention sandpaper for tough coatings. How do you know that after polishing the coat is totally gone? It can not be seen by the eye?
If you have zero water beading left and very slow water sheeting after your polishing steps, that's a visual indicator that there is most likely no protection left.
Just put on the Chemical Guys Carbon Force ceramic coating. What is the best method to maintain a coating to give you the full 5 years or good length of time?
I am impressed! Who makes the blue tape? Surprisingly the bug and tar remover residue didn’t burn the adhesive on it?🤔 ok I just saw the blower move the tape!
Pan = Crazy, could have picked up a test hood at a bone yard for $50 but instead, he chose to use his very expensive BWB to prove a point. This guy is the "real deal" folks when it comes to car detailing!!!
Excellent vid, Pan! Thank you. My only comment is...how can you tell how effective EACH chemical is i.e. did the previous 7 chemicals degrade the coating so #8 seemed somewhat effective? I would've liked to see 8 separated test sections each working by themselves on the original coating thickness.
Pretty much any quality compound or polish will do. I have highlighted my favourites in this popular video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2JDvQBs1viM.html
Another amazing video Pan! Thank you! Questions - so removing Ceramic coating off the paint has to be done mechanically. I'm assuming on Glass as well? How about Plastic Trim?? One of my cars I want to remove the current Ceramic by DA polishing, paint & glass and then reapply a different brand Ceramic Coating. Can I go over the the Ceramic coated plastic with a fresh coat of Ceramic without removing the current Ceramic coating on the plastic trim? Please let us know and as always THANK YOU for all the amazing content!
Thanks Pan for giving an actual clear answer to the question! A lot of detailers leave us with more questions than answers in the end of their videos. If you can answer me question I will really appreciate it. Does an old wax that has remained on the car for 3-4 months needs to be removed with some process before you apply a new wax? They say that when you apply a second coat of wax you also remove the old one, so my understanding is I can wax my car every month if I wanted without using any process like special shampoos that claim this result. I also was very proud when I found out that you are Greek!
If you want to remove the old wax, there are what is called strip washes which help break down those waxes and sealants, they wouldn't do anything on this paint, and then when your rinsing car, keep an eye what it looked like when you did your pre rinse and see what it looks like after you strip wash to guage where your at. Also, you need to use only the strip wash because a lot of washes now have some sort of protection built into them, so if your looking to remove the old wax remember you dont wanna add new wax, even goes for clay bar, if your using a detail spray (which all clay lubes are basically a detail spray, you can do this on the cheap with many products, you might wanna re wash the vehicle again with the strip wash and be certain none of the detail spray adhered to the paint.
Did you not try either acetone or lacquer thinner? Also, in this video, it didn't seem like you gave the products much time to work... A quick douse, rub, then rinse. do you feel 3 years later that you gave the removal products a fair chance at fighting the ceramic?
Great video Pan, the only suggestion I have is to clarify the difference between “PRO GRADE” vs “PROSUMER GRADE” coatings and how to remove them because most pro grades like crystal serum ultra, opticoat etc need to be wet sanded since polishing will not completely remove them with polishing alone like it will on a prosumer grade product.
@@PanTheOrganizer Pan, I put turtle wax hybrid ceramic spray On my hood ,new truck But didn't Decontaminate first because I didn't know better..... How can I remove the Ceramic spray wax so that I can do things properly. thank you again.
WOW! Great explanation and demonstration, very impressed! When I purchased my new car last year I used Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating, (I know it's not a professional ceramic coating) but to this day it still looks good and is very smooth to the touch. I was told that I If I wanted to add a good wax I'd have to first remove this product and start over as waxes will not bond over a ceramic coating, is this true? I do not own a DA Polisher, can I add the wax now or should I remove the ceramic coating? if so how can I do this by hand? Please help! Thank you
Great videos! Really am learning a lot .... THANK YOU PAN! Now a question for a person such as I .... a D I Y'er, retired, on a budget. What one true Cerramic product do you recommend for a first time user, on what will probably be the last car I will ever own? I am going to follow all of your and the product mfg directions ..... to the "T" ....... so that my newly bought 2017 Cadillac XT5 will be protected as well and as long as I can possibly do it. Pan, you have exposed us, your viewers, to a ton of good products. But I want to know your one pick to use on my last car. Ceramic is, to me, the way to go. You've very convincingly demonstrated that. Thank you sir!
The one in my popular tutorial here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-byKcYsEyWGk.html How did you discover my channel by the way Doug? Thanks for the kind words!
@@PanTheOrganizer ..... the search on UTube pulled you and all your videos up for consideration, along with soooo many others. But to me, your no 'BS' style of presenting the knowledge you have .... stands alone. Really good! As I mentioned, a new / used car purchased within the last month had me wondering what kind of car care products to use. As a young man I loved to detail cars for friends and my own. But obviously, A LOT has changed since the mid to late 60's. The Cadi I have now is a real "cream puff" and I knew when I drove it home, I'd have to get back up to speed on car detailing. Thanks Pan .... and keep up the good work young man.
@@PanTheOrganizer ..... Very good question! In thinking about that I first have to say this. However, I must say that I am currently watching your video "Who Is Pan?" To be brief ..... simply INCREDIBLE Pan! Truly awesome to allow your video viewers in on who you are. I sincerely commend you young man for your honesty, ethic and letting us know you to some degree. THANK YOU!!!
Hi There Pan ! May I Ask What About Ceramic Coating For Small Planes and Corp Jets ? I’ve Watched a Larry Kosilla’s Video With a Large Crew of Detailers Treating a Retired USA Air Force One. When I Say Treating, I Mean Polishing And Protecting Without Ceramic Coating. It Worked Well ! However, What I’d Like To Know Is, What About Ceramic Coating Applied on Plane Paints ? Vehicles and Plane Paints Have The Same Chemical Composition That Would Permit Equal Treatment ? By The Way, My Girl's ("Beloved" !) 2008 Tucson (Hers Since Zero Km), Has Been Treated With Ceramic Pro (A Well Known Brand in Brazil) Two Years Ago Likewise Your BMW ! It Still Shines Beautifully ! I Always Wanted To Know Exactly What You Just Shown In This Video. ! ! ! AWESOME ! ! ! Many Thanks ! Best Regards ! Ed Weekend Warrior São Paulo 🇧🇷
How do you know if you did remove the ceramic coating with mechanical polishing and or wet sanding when the hydrophobic properties may be gone but the protection still there?
No consumer grade coating will survive polishing or wet sanding. A professional grade 5+ year coating might, but that’s it. I hand polished a spot on my hood a month after applying cquartz and it completely removed it in that spot. But to answer your question after you polish just use an IPA wipe down and if it’s super slick then there might be ‘some’ protection left but if it’s a little grippy then there’s nothing there. If you rinse that panel and see zero beading or sheeting that’s also another way to tell
Pan, love your Videos, so informative and interesting. Just need some advice, i have applied a Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic spray coating to my new car and keeping it topped up when washing with Turtle Wax HS Ceramic Wet Wax. I would like to renew or reapply the Ceramic coating after 6-12 months, what prep would you recommend to remove old wax etc before applying another Turtle Wax Ceramic coating. I have a DA polisher
I really liked this video. I have a question about the ceramic coating. If I apply ceramic coating on the windscreen, does it affect the vision at night drives in the rain?
You would use a ceramic coating specifically formulated for glass. Like the one I present in my glass polishing and protection video : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yMi5PtyqUI8.html
Thanks! Yeah Opti-Coat Pro+ can resist chemicals in the entire pH range. pH 0-14. I have a video where we applied it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C_hb8PMP3KA.html
Although ceramic coatings are amazing. Doesn't it seem like a big liability if you have to water sand the coating off? Although we always start with the least aggressive first, how does one know how much to wet sand off with a ceramic coating that is semi-permanent or permanent? Just sounds like more work and a risk at that. Thank god for Carpro because they make most of their coatings easy to remove with just a simple polish.
Hi Pan! I hope you can review all the tac system product line up. Cz, I am a little confused choosing between carpro or tac system. Carpro and tac system have a difference of 5.37 USD (75,000 in IDR) from their chemical decontamination product. Of course they are quite expensive for me. With more of your experience, and your product explanation is very easy for me to understand, i hope that i can watch your video as soon as possible...
Great Video as always! Thank you. I didn’t get my Avalon King ceramic coating applied before it got too cold, but I was hoping to apply a coat of spray on Technician’s choice 582 to last through winter. But now, I don’t think I will do that because I don’t want to polish my whole car with a polisher. I always create more work with holograms etc. For a spray on coating, after 6 months, would clay bar and polishing by hand work?
Hi Pan, I have a 1 month old Mazda cx9 that had a dealer applied product called "resistall ng2" on it already. No where does it say what is the coating comprised of or how was it applied; was it sprayed on? Which is what I suspect, is it a wax, ceramic or graphene. If it was just a spray ceramic, does that make it easy to remove with a very light polish. Or is the product worth maintaining it with all the Adam graphene products that I bought ,since I was going to apply the Adams graphene advanced coating.
Hi Pan, thanx for z great video:) I have ceramic coating CQuartz uk 3 on my car applied 2 years ago by myself, now I need to apply new layer on it So can I add it on the existing coat? or I should remove the old coat by machine at professional workshop apply fresh coat ? Thanks
I notice that on the intro of the video you've a little blue bottle, I remember my sister gave my mom a bottle or two to put the "nano ceramic wax." But whoever waxed it, it looks terrible, I guess it took on deposits of dirt, water, grime, and ever since it was new, her car paint looks really bad. I tried applying directly something like the larger purple spray bottle and using a gentle scrub (there are places on the car that just look like wax sap), but it doesn't get rid of it. Will polishing still work? Thank you in advance.
Ayo Pan, my detailer just added turtle wax hybrid solutions ceramic coating to my motorcycle, But I have to use my touch up paint pen now for a scratch... so I must remove the coating on top of the scratch. Would this coating require a machine to remove? It was only applied last week.
I was surprised you washed the chemicals on the test side, across the good side. But as you'll have to re-coat the whole panel, it didn't really matter. And you're sending me broke buying the stuff you recommend. :)
Interesting video thats allow for only 3 conclusions: 1. Ceramic coating, if applied professionally and being of best quality available on the market, will give you lasting and superb protection from a variety of chemicals both alkaline and acid as well as solvents, as demonstrated 2. Think twice before choosing to ceramic coat your car since abrassive removal is the only way to get rid of it. This removal is risky for your clear coat if not done very very carefully. This might lead to a worse appearance of the paint after ceramic coating removal compared to the status before application of the ceramic coating. 3. There is no way of telling which product used on the test section of the hood did attack the ceramic coating since all products have been applied on the same surface subsequently. I feel sorry for the beamer. Hope all take your advice to not mess around with the mentioned products. Ignoring it is similar to the advice of drinking bleach to fight covid....
great video been looking for anwsers latly as i let somone at a car show put a cermaic coating on my bonnet only (slaes man tactic) to try out see how it works total forgot about it then few years later notice what looks like laquer peal only on the pannel they did so looking best way to maybe remove it as its making the car look awful been a great help thank you
My black truck has nasty water stains imbedded into the ceramic coat two years later. So I’m figuring I need to buff it off. But I’m not sure if I’ll do it again. What’s the best coating to use if so? Thanks
I think these coatings are great! I only found one thing (by accident) that can damage a coating - wheel and tire cleaner (strong commercial grade). I inadvertently splashed some on my own coated vehicle and found it an hour later. There were dull spots on the finish that I couldn't remove chemically. I went to the compound and pad to remove the coating mechanically and re-applied. Thank you for the realistic demonstration :) I think dwell time is a big factor - longer dwell more reduction in coating function.
For air fresheners, I would give it to Angelwax Eden and Angelwax Bliss. For interior quick detailers, Lithium InnerSpace and Adam’s Interior Quick Detailer smell awesome.
Great video. Will the ceramic coating completely remove/dissapear over times? And when it removed shoud we re-apply it or we can choose to re-apply or not?thanks
I ride a new Can am RT Spyder and did a ceramic coating on it , I decide to wrap the front with a clear paint protection film so I needed to get the ceramic coating off and this video is just what I needed to watch to get it done ! Any suggestions on coating the windshiled that is made of Plexiglass for those of us that have cars but also have motorcycles ? Awesome video Pan !!
Pan, some asshat turned into my Tiguan and scraped the entire right side with his dodge charger front fender. The car is filthy and I don't want to make a worse affair of the paint damage by washing it incorrectly. How would you proceed to wash the car in order for paint correction? Thanks man!
Hey Pam,i have a question, what happens if i apply a spray wax after a applying a paste wax. I applied the paste about a week ago. Can i do it,or do i need to remove the paste wax first?
Asome video, watched it on TV. Wow that was pure torture, question I've only been using Turtle wax hybrid green. Do I have to go all the way through or is there a short cut , paint correction will be done before I go and apply one of the permanent coatings, I still have one of the limited edition Graphene coatings that has your logo on, or now that Turtle Wax has there own, I'm torn on which one to use, you have me a faithful rebeliever in Turtle 🐢 wax. By the way 5 coats of Hybrid green and there Ceramic wash and step 1 yellow wer wax and now with winter here, I can still see like a mirror through the salt, WOW. Sorry drifted off. But would a strip wash and machine buff be all I need, in your opinion. Then Turtle Wax ceramic or new Graphene coating. Thanks again and as always thumbs-up 👍.
Have a quick question to ask you I'm going to do paint correction on my wife's car which is the best car pro ceramic coating One step there's so many to choose from I just want to get the right one which one is it Wesley chapel thanks.
Had my aluminum wheels ceramic coated.. got grease on the back side of them and used the super clean and it actually stained the ceramic? And now I don’t know what to do
The sole reason i don't use a ceramic coating is because you have to polish to remove it. I don't want to have to do that when the coating starts dying. All i have to do with a wax is a quick wash and spray with the right shampoo and chemicals to do the same thing.
Wow, I'm honestly surprised ceramic coatings stood up to those most aggressive chemicals! The end stuff is no joke and DEFINITELY makes me look forward to applying my own ceramic coating knowing they mechanically provide so much chemical resistance! I do have a question, though, Pan! Can you get the same gloss & liquid-like appearance in a ceramic coating as from a liberally applied wax-based product?
Thanks for watching Elliot. I highly recommend that you watch my ultra popular video about the differences between waxes, paint sealants and ceramic coatings: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Yxz3zSVIm-g.html After watching it, you'll know so much more. And let me know if you have any questions after watching that video. ;)
Imagine destroying your professional grade, thousands of dollar ceramic coating to educate the youtube masses. That's why Pan is the best. **EDIT** Should have kept watching all the way. Can't believe it still wasn't gone after this torture test.
Any tips on how to strip ceramic coating on a matte car that is starting to pass it’s used by date or was applied incorrectly? As matte paint can not be polished!!
Hi Pan, great video again. Do you have a tutorial how to identify the ceramic coating shold be removed because reached its lifetime? In your long life tests you check the hybrophobic properties but is there anything else that indicate it? The other thing I am interested is ceramic coat applicatiom errors and how to avoid them. Thanks for the great contenta and tutorial
Hydrophobics are really the only visual indicator. That plus the expected lifespan of the coating you bought. Say you bought CQuartz UK 3.0. If you applied the 2 layers correctly, it should last up to 2 years. So after 22 months (getting near the 24 months durability claim), it would be a good idea to do all the steps all over again, including machine polishing, and start fresh.
wow amazing thanx Pan ...speaking of ceramic coatings i just got 3 boxes of avalon king, im gonna give it a try , i have 2 cars with original paint 1 is a 1990 mustang gt and the other is a 1978 camaro z28 , the older car has single stage paint i hope it bonds well
I prefer the carnauba wax look. I can see a tiny bit of difference in the pop and depth of the paint. The ceramic coatings really look too glossy to me. A mirror look is not exactly pleasing to look at. Also, I prefer testing out new products about every season. It's fun that way!
Yup, there are different types of products for everyone out there. I even made a super popular video to explain the difference between carnauba waxes, synthetic paint sealants and ceramic coatings here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Yxz3zSVIm-g.html
great video as usual.....jason put opticoat pro on my 05 ag vdp(liquid silver)in 2014....it is still going strong....and gtechniq crystal serum lite on my 07 vdp(cranberry mica)2017....opticoat much better longevity...it appears that 266 had the greatest impact...was that your hands on impression???....also would like to see if optimum powerclean straight up would have degraded the coating
Does ceramic spray like (seal n shine, flex wax, sonax bsd especially) prevent waterspot? Is there a test where some popular DIY spray coating can prevent waterspots
Paint protections help to make cleaning the car easier, but will not prevent 100% of water spots. The minerals in water is what causes those. But at least, the paint protection will protect your clear coat underneath from being attacked. More frequent washing of your car is recommended if you have such issues, or perhaps look into getting a water deionizer setup. That removes 100% of minerals, for a spot-free car wash experience.
One needs lots of courage to do and show this on own car, only you can do this pan... most premium car , most premium coating and largest heart to do this. But you love your audience and subscribers. Those are more important than your car. No one does that..... lots of love...
Pan: Damn scary video! You have "a pair" my friend! Question: I have Turtle Wax's black ceramic coating on my black Ram... but I want to put their new Graphene on my truck now. Should I polish off the ceramic currently on my truck, or could I apply the new Turtle Wax Graphene right over the Turtle Wax ceramic coating? Robert. Dakota Dunes, South Dakota
If you're talking about the new Turtle Wax Graphene Flex Wax, you can apply it directly over your existing protection. I talk about that in my full review here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b5BjDzItlr8.html
hv question. buddy has a 2021 Acura MDX. He applied Turtle Wax Graphene.Loves the way It looks but, came out of work had bird droppings on the paint. Removed them but left marring on the paint. He was pissed. Thought the graphene would protect better. I understand MDX has 'Soft Paint.' Are these new paints more prone to do this?
Joseph, there is no paint protection that protects and scratches, swirls and marring. Even then best and most expensive graphene and ceramic coatings won't protect against bird droppings if they're left unattended on the surface and bake on there for hours or days. Water spots (minerals) and bird droppings (acidic in nature) unfortunately do etch through the clear coat unless attended to properly when they are fresh. The good thing in his case is he can lightly polish the affected area, even by hand, and then simply reapply the TW product in a few seconds.
For anyone who wants to keep their car a LONG time, coatings and repeat coating will eat away your clear coat every time it needs to be removed and reapplied. Coating do not “wear” off. Coatings need to be abraded (polished) off and that will affect the clear as they are bonded to it on a molecular level.
Most high quality coatings are rated for 5+ years now so that is of no concern. Most people don’t even keep their cars that long. And even those who keep them for 7+ years won’t be polishing their paint more than once or twice during that lifespan if they need to reapply a new coating. If you polish your car, and apply a good coating, and care for your car using safe washing and drying methods, you shouldn’t have to polish your car for years. And a light polish (more than enough to remove or abrade a coating) only removes a minute amount of clear coat. Paint can be polished many times before even have to start worrying about clear coat failure. It’s best to protect the clear coat with a good quality ceramic coating than do nothing. Hands down.
I just watched your video and have two questions. I’m a 58 year old woman so I have about as much knowledge in car detailing as a bug. I purchased a new BMW one month ago (Nov. 2022) and immediately discovered that ceramic coating would be great to pursue for my new bimmer. A local car detailer applied the SystemX Crystal SS system. Can you offer a review of that system? It looks shiny and great but the beading properties just don’t behave as well as I’ve seen on just a good wax job on previous vehicles. Also.. I see water spots (mainly on the hood) and have listened to so many different opinions on how to remove them. I’m completely confused as to which route to take. Before watching any videos, I unknowingly just used a soft microfiber slightly dampened cloth and rubbed fairly aggressively. It did a decent job in removing but now I’m afraid that I’ve damaged the coating. Can you recommend a different way or product that would not scratch or damage the CC?
Hi Hope! I have never used SystemX unfortunately. Not sure it's as good as top tier coating brands, as I would have heard of it more from trusted sources. Reliable coating brands are like CarPro, Gyeon, Gtechniq, DuraSlic, Opti-Coat, etc. Never rub the paint too hard. That's a big no no. To remove water spots from a coating, you need a water spot remover (assuming the water spots haven't been there for too long, as they can eventually etch through the clear coat and cause permanent damage). Here's a link to a good water spot remover: bit.ly/3BRsswC Wash the car, rinse it, then you use the water spot remover. Regular washing is key to keeping water spots under control, and using a drying aid/topper after your washes is also important. To prevent 100% of water spots when you wash, you can also consider installing a simple water deionizer system like I have. See my video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IKNL1chAQXY.html
I remember when Yvan Lacroix installed your coating. He said that Opticoat's coating resists all chemicals throughout the entire pH scale. If this was my car with 2 coats of Cquarts, the acid based wheel cleaner would have definitely taken it off if mixed strong enough.
Yeah the Opti-Coat Pro+ has a claimed durability of pH 0-14. Not all coatings have the same chemical resistance, although all of them greatly surpass waxes and sealants. CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0 has a resistance of pH 3 ~14.
Pan you are my #1 go to!! Love your videos. I just applied the Avalon King DIY ceramic coating using your video as a reference and the car is awesome!! I haven’t washed it in 3 weeks. Several rain storms later it ilooks perfectly clean. All I need to do is dust it off! Great product. I do have a question. How do I apply another coat of the ceramic coating? I only applied one coat originally, but I’d like to add a second coat for longer protection.
Thanks for the kind words Isabel. Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on RU-vid as we surpassed 920,000 subscribers and we have over 120 million views! I have been detailing for 26 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing. I'm not sure what you do to "dust off" your car, but please don't use those dry dusters, or dry wiping with a towel. The best is to always wash the car. If you only have a very light layer of dust and don't want to wash, use a good quick detail spray and a plush towel and spray the surface, and gently wipe. You wouldn't want to cause scratches or swirls in the paint by dry rubbing. For your second question, you have passed the window to apply the 2nd layer. When applying the coating, you apply the first coat, wait 45-60 min, and then apply the second coat. And you have to let it cure for 48 hours before exposing the vehicle to water or rain, and wait at least 2 weeks before washing the car again. In your case, many weeks have past since your initial application, so at this point, it's unsure if a second layer would bond properly. What you could do is fully wash the vehicle. Dry it. Use the paint prep spray to wipe the surface free of any oils or residue. And then apply a new layer. Don't forget you have to let that cure for 48 hours without rain, and then again wait 2 weeks before washing your car again.
Hi Cameron. Did you watch the video? I clearly stated that the only way to remove ceramic or graphene based protection (regardless if it's in spray form or in a glass bottle) is by machine polishing. It's the only way to ensure 100% removal.
Great video and a super nice car to try and trash 🤣🤣 My car has never been ceramic coated. I did have a 1step paint correction done last June. The guy did put on a spray on paint sealant. After watching a ton of your videos, I purchased some Avalon King ceramic coating. I have kept up the shine with Turtle Wax Seal and Shine. I have purchased a bottle of Turtle Wax one and done. Could you please tell me if the one and done will do the job with a DA orbital polisher? If so, would my next steps be 1. Clay 2. Iron remover 3. IPA? Please let me know if I have missed any steps. Thanks so much for your great channel, Paul
Yes 1 & Done will do a good job of removing the previous protection, removing light to medium swirls and scratches and oxidation, leaving a nice flat surface and glossy surface to work with. Of course, follow all the prep steps in my AvalonKing tutorial here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Rgli6VNLsK4.html
Great video! Very informative, fair and honest, which you don't always get, so that is very much appreciated and is only one reason that has made me a subscriber. Is the ceramic coating you used available for non-professionals? I didn't see it on your list of products. It appears to be an excellent product. It would be interesting to see if other ceramic coatings stood up as well as the one you used (like one from a major brand IE Adams, Chem guys, etc.).

Here's part 1: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MoBTLpRFFw4.html And since you asked specifically about Adam's and Chemical Guys, here's another video where we compared those: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Fq_XeI28Vso.html
Pan I applied CRYSTAL SERUM LIGHT , last September what do you recommend i do in May 2021 , should i do use a fallout remover followed carpro reset and apply a topper or do i need to use a ipa before applying a topper ?
Don'y know why I missed this one but very happy I found it because that's exactly the subject I'm most concerned about. This leads me to a question I have for you Pan. I have applied Optimum Gloss-Coat in May 2019 and I want to apply another product this time. Since this product is supposed to last 2 years and we are getting very close to that time frame, do you think using let's say Super Clean to remove it would work or I really have no choice but to use a polisher?
Pan, great work. My question concerns ceramic coating windscreen glass. Here in the SE USA the road grit is enormous Concrete missile hazards slowly freckle the windscreen I use Avalon King, will this help protect against this sand blasting?
