Both teams have great attack and sightly leaky defence so I reckon a high scoring game. I think England could shade it but adding Beauden Barrett back to Number ten will really help the AB's - I was hoping for another dose of Damien Mackenzie, who isn't an international class fly half by a long way. England by 5 but it really could go either way. Say 26-21. Can't wait!
England can take my AB's this weekend for sure. I am picking a very tight result, hoping for AB's to nab it 22-17 (my prediction). The series in NZ this year shows how close these teams are.
Why did Joe Marler give the ABs a quote they're gonna pin on the dressing room wall for added motivation?! What an unforced error! Should be Freeman or Lozowski @13 over an under-cooked Slade; and on the bench, should be Hill & Willis over B Curry & Dombrandt & F Smith over Ford. ABs seem like they might be better balanced with Sititi @8, Finau @6 & Ardie @7.
The 2012 win was great for sure - as they seemed invincible then, certainly to any NH side. But in terms of absolutely nullifying their usually great attack, and making them look very ordinary and not likely to even sniff a win - nothing comes close to 2019 in Japan. Underhill and Curry absolutely had their number that day.
In my time … the Northern Division beat NZ in 1979 at a blustery Otley and then the national side turned them over in 1983 and 1993; the great Peter Winterbottom at number 7 for the two English victories
Not sure why I'm listening. I love watching England rugby but I'm never paying those prices and I refuse to pay TNT £30 odd quid for a subscription service .At least Sky offered a day pass . The RFU is going to kill their cash cow
Interesting that MT claimed that in 2003 the All Blacks had an aura, at least in part because they won most World Cups. Except that at that time Australia had won two to the ABs one. Also that the group they played had raised the level of the haka, when really it was Shelford and the ‘87 team that really done that. Sounds like it was schoolboy Mike talking!
Even when they lose for the english, they always find mitigating factors to convince themselves they were better. Look at football, always world champions before the ball is kicked... All talk, no walk...
Last 5 games 1 win, 1 draw, 3 loses. 2 of those by a single point. They’re still a bloody good side and above England, but the mystique has definitely gone. Tough day at the office but absolutely winnable if you play well, unlike the miracle that was needed in the past
@@AnalogFilmDiaryWhat is it about you Northern hemisphere supporters about losing by a close margin .Have you not noticed that it's a pattern you come close but lose most of the time .Top teams find a way to win, winning is a habit just like losing and sadly your rugby team seems to fall on the losing side mostly.
@ I mean losing by a point is obviously different from losing by 20, one’s a close game the others a whitewash. Agreed Top teams find a way to win, I’ve never suggested England are a better side than NZ or SA, just that the games are winnable with a great performance on the day, hopefully we’ll see a great game at the weekend
This is your best chance to bet us, so i wish you the best of luck. But i still see us winning for several reasons, but only just. Will be a good battle. I always used to love the England matches. Getting up early to watch etc. But the relationship between the 2 countries seems strained at best, and the negative banter just puts me off a bit these days.
YOu think thats crazy, consider this, thats four wins in 25 years , before that for the the whole of the 2Oth century it was a total four wins against NZ.
England only play against nz outside of a worldcup when there is a good chance of winning. No coincidence that this weekend will be the 3rd time in a calendar year. They should hurry as the window is slowly closing.
You guys are really the most optimistic nation in the world .Arrogance seems to be a English trait .46 matches and you have won 9 of those matches. If your team actually played like the belief of your supporters you would be world beaters .England beat nz in 2019 and in 2013 so twice in 11 years.
Scripted pod cast, have you learned nothing from joe rogan, just say what is on your mind, look to the future ,stop wallowing in the past.Future looks bright.
