PSA: Rin was correct about turtles being aquatic and tortoises being terrestrial. PLEASE don't EVER put a tortoise in the water! They cannot swim and will drown. You can tell the difference based on the shell and the feet. Turtles have more flat oval shells and they always have webbed feet. Tortoises have high circular domed shell and flat round feet. Remember, if you see a turtle or tortoise in the road and can safely move it please do so, they are pretty helpless against a car as are most animals. They were here before our roads, thank you kindly!
I haven’t done art in awhile. My dad passed away in September and my grandma wants a portrait of him. Idk if I have the energy to do it. Your videos are helping me slowly come back to art and find the courage to paint again. Thank you ♥️
I completely feel u on this... my dad passed away 2 years ago & I found out while shopping in Spirit. 😔 I've been struggling getting back into art, but ull get there. I'm sorry for your loss & wish u the best. ❤🖤
*"Humans love naming things"* As someone who names my markers, favorite pencils, paints and swatches.......I most certainly agree with this statement to the core😂😁🖌🎨✏
My favorite thing about watching you draw is the break down of basic shapes to create form. My daughter watches with me and I’ve noticed her starting to do the same in her art. That and you have a wonderful art style.
I can’t draw animals at all, so watching Rin successfully _draw an animal from reference_ , *cuteify that animal* and then *_CUTIFY IT EVEN MOREEE_* It amazes my tiny potato brain. 😯
That's really interesting to me because animals are pretty much the only thing I draw (mostly dragons). I struggle with drawing people, but it's something I'm continuing to work on. Our anatomy is just so weird looking!
the formula for babyfing things is.. -the body is 2 heads maximum..(3 with the head) -big head, thin neck -big eyes, small mouth and nose -chubby boddy (usually the size of the head) -thin short leg, big feet. that's a base, with that you can change what you want depending on your style and the animal.. for example big feet don't always work with pigs, short legs don't always work with giraffes
Rin: Let’s sit it down! With no reference!! Me: Whoa she’s brave Rin: *starts drawing* Rin: Oh I have no idea how they sit never mind Me: *nods knowingly*
Rin I wanna say thank you =) for being one of the art channels that actually STILL does art. I just love watching you draw and get to "try" along lol even though I am not very good at it =( Maybe one day when I grow up rofl I will be super talented like you! This was great love how they came out,
Geeze, y'all really like making things complicated, don't ya 😅? Turtoise, turtle, terrapin- they're all just "shield toads" here in Germany 🤷🏼♀️. Anyway, love how you cartoonify them, they look so tanky 🥰
Ahh yes, I always where confused why there are so many versions in english XD But shield toads is kinda wierd when I think about it XD Why are we germans like this? Lmao XD
The turtle scales you were referring to are called scutes! :D Thank you for all the art you share! It's really helped me a lot with getting back into drawing and has inspired me a lot! From a fellow Michigander
2 things I love about waffles. She is amazing at drawing and always entertaining to watch. But not only that, she doesn’t only just READ all the comments, she also replies and likes them or gives them hearts.
I really struggle at the cute-ification process. Like I can look at a reference and draw a reasonable version of whatever I'm drawing usually. But I can't do like stylized or cartoony or different styles of stuff. I'm going to practice some cute animals in my sketchbook now that I see how you did it !
This was so cute to watch! I literally love your art so much. I’ve been watching you for so long but never got to comment. I have a request, do you think you could give like tutorials or tips? Like how to draw eyes, bodies (anatomy), lips, etc? And what art supplies own (or like brands)… that aside, you art style is so gorgeous! 🤗 ❤️
Waffles, I’ve recently gotten very into drawing… but I’m struggling with it a lot. If it’s not too much to ask, could you do a tutorial kind of video where you show us exactly how you draw faces, bodies, clothes, hair, etc.? It would help very much, not only to me, but I’m sure to many other people as well. And I loved this video, your art style is amazinggg! ❤️
Rin, you always have a way to make me smile just by being you. You channel and videos are so calming and bright. Thankyou for sharing your art and with that, your light. ❤
i love this! hope you continue this drawing animals in reverse! would love to see some kind of cat, domestic or wild because when they're adults they have lean elegant bodies but when their kittens they're like balls with short little legs that make them wibble wobble around, so cute XD
Thankful for this upload 😭 been having a v stressful time lately, but this is definitely letting me relax a bit and inspiring me to draw too 🥺 hope you're doing good Rin, love you so much! 🥰💕
for future turtle drawings the ones with feet are most commonly lake/freshwater turtles but if you are drawing sea tutles then you draw almost cresent shapes flipper for the front feet and smaller teardrop-ish flipper for the back legs : ) just saying because one of the key features that devide tutles from tortises is the lack of feet and flippers. but of coarse there are freshwater turtles soooo
The entire time watching this I was trying to envision a cute way to draw a baby turtle trying to stretch its little legs to reach out the “holes” and like you can only see its eyes peeking out the neck hole. I just can’t draw it how it is in my head! 😂😭
Ohhh animals!! Never saw you draw animals before so this is gonna be an exciting one! What if you make animals that look like humans? Like Zootopia, that'd be cool
You should try a festive themed food into people vid. Like how you did peppermint one year. You could, like, do traditional Christmas/thanksgiving snacks. I bet you would come up w/ the most awesome characters. Loved the vid!
Maybe you drawing animals can be a series thing (and when i say that I just mean put into a playlist) and if ur not sure what to do for ur next video, maybe you could draw mythical creatures like dragons? 💜 love the video!
Absolutely!! You just said what I was thinking lol. Hope she does it btw cuz I really need it for my comic "Enchanted" on Webtoon. Anyways have good day, bye!!👋😊
