If you have received your passport and there is no visa stamp in it. Then you need to wait for some days as the UK Home Office might take some time to send you a refusal notice on your registered email

Whether it is an acceptance or refusal the Authorities generally respond back in 3 to 4 weeks if you are applying from outside of UK. It also depends upon the visa category that you have applied for. Under priority the Home office aims to decide the application within 5-7 working days from the date of bio-metrics. However, at the timelines are extended due to additional checks being made or plenty of priority files.

The standard processing time for a UK Student Visa is around 4 weeks. if you have called and the Home office has informed you that the decision has been made then it might take around 10-15 working days from the date you called. However, you call and re-check about the status of your application.

Please note there are no further steps required at the moment. The Home office will contact you in case of any additional information or documentations are required

In case you didn't receive any stamp on the passport, then you need to check your email for a notice of refusal. The UK Home Office sends the Notice of Refusal via email. Please note that at times the applicant may received the email after receiving his/her passport

I was refused based on financially capable of my 11 days travel expenses, I am still in a sock since February 14th this year that I am not financially capable when I have over £7,000 in my accounts as in cash and I have £4,000 in my fixed deposit account and another £3,000 in another co-operative account. Hello I was just denied uk visa to attend my uncle’s graduation which was on the 28th of July, 2023. The reason for denial was that apart from his letter of invitation and the schools letter, there was no evidence that we had a personal relationship or contact or communication. Home office has strict rules regarding the eligibility criteria to be met by the applicant when they apply for a visa category. For meeting the English language requirement, you need to submit the certification from UK NARIC. Not doing so, may be considered as failure to disclose mandatory information, which can lead to a refusal.

My passport is ready for collection at VFS. But no email or sms to tell if visa was approved or rejected. How do I find out because the wait is already killing me 😅

Usually if an application is refused UK Home Office will send Refusal Notice via email. This might take some days. However, you can confirm the decision either after collecting the passport or receiving an email regarding the refusal from UK Home office
