John Ortberg lends a fresh and new (but not new) approach to God talk. I like the references to other wise teachers added to John’s wisdom. Seems full and rich. And the backdrops are beautiful scenes of nature! These episodes are well put together, wholesome and satisfying.

During the last comments, like the series The Chosen, my eyes filled with tears as I again realized how intimate my time with Him has become at age 70. The statement “truths stacked upon truths until we are sure of God , not only from books or preachers but from our experiences” is true in my life. I call Him my One True and Faithful One.

Every few months, I'll get an itch in my brain to slide closer to God. I wish there was a leash sometimes. These brain-massaging reminders are exactly what I need in this time of pulling for me, personally. That we can be sure of Him being w us more than anyone else is SUCH a beautiful reminder. This is true. I love the thought that we can come back to Him w a smile when we've been gone for a time. It's very difficult not to have the mindset of man.

Stretching the tendon of my attention… I love that. I often do painting or other craft activities with the Lord right beside me and we do enjoy it together.
