I relate cause I'm Hispanic, Colombian and my boyfriend is half German/Irish and Japanese and we both love Jesus....and yes growing up I was not able to cross the street even though it was a one way street, lol!

Hey Jeff if you could do me a favor and try to answer my question, how come at night my mind always imagines what it's like to be nothing at night, that would be cool because as a Christian i believe in life after death but sometimes i think about what of theirs nothing

That is a question I think we all struggle with. It can be scary contemplating what the future holds. But from what the Bible teaches, you can be sure that your future is secure if you are in Christ Jesus. But let's play the devil's advocate real quick: Assuming we are all wrong, and this life is all that we have, what is the harm of you living for God? You have served others, brought joy into people's lives, and lived with contentment. Yes you experience pain and suffering as well, but Jesus was recorded in one of the Gospels as saying (I apologize for not knowing the exact verse) that every believer will experience 100x the joy and contentment in this life compared to those who do not know Him. So if this life is all that there is, that's ok. Because God is good, and He is faithful. Hope that helps. God bless

This felt like a missed opportunity to deliver some relevant content. I don't know anything about this couple and it seemed like half of this video was an imaginary story with little substance leaving the listener to weed out truth from fiction. It didn't make me want to listen to their "first listen" Audiobook and I'm concerned Jeff is losing touch with people who aren't "in the know" of the same kinds of things he's into. After listening to this 5 minute clip, I'm still not sure who the Gaines are, what they do, or what Magnolia is supposed to be.

I apologize if my comment came off harsh. It wasn't clear upon clicking or viewing that this video was part of a series. It seemed like the intent was to provide information on how to work well together with my spouse. I now realize the intent was to provide an intimate glimpse into these people's story... But I'm still left wishing for more substance. Thanks Jeff.

Aww com'on lighten up. He was being Chip which is a funny guy. In this crazy mixed up world we're in we need a little comic relief once in awhile. Their book Magnolia Story was fantastic and even made me tear up a few times and the audio where Chip seemed to go off script a little now and then just showed his passion for this story. If they made a movie Magnolia Story about them I'd definitely go see it too. So i guess I and a lot of other people have lost touch with reality and hey I'm perfectly fine with it
