The Book of Vishanti - The movie seemed to make it look like the Book of Vishanti is important and it could rival the Darkhold, and then they proceed to not even use it or get their hands on it.

It is important. They did get ahold of it and use it. Dr. Strange has a photographic memory and before the book was destroyed he saw the page he needed. It had the star pattern on it.. America Chavez s star pattern. Meaning she was the key. Presumably there is only one book of Vishanti because there is only one America Chavez.

I'm glad they brought up Hawkeye bc that was my first thought: Who always talks her down and comforts her, guides her? Hell, he even convinced her so absolutely that he was right, she sent her love through many, many, just so many layers of earth. "Wanda, I think you hurt Vision...in the feelings." Clint. Dude, call him. He's home from Christmas break. He's got all new trick arrows. Pym Particle that book into a spitball. I firmly believe Clint would've had it in-hand from the get-go.

@@ThirstyEdits I admit I can be misremembering, but did we see any alternative universe (in What If, Loki or Multiverse of Madness) that Wanda was shown alive and in a situation she would never have kids? I don't think so. And like I said the "infinity realities" doesn't mean anything in this aspect. Literally.

@Natan Leal I've been saying this since Eternals and *No Way Home* was worse. I followed every MCU film - this is like a sequel to a 26 chapter masterpiece novel, only it's being written by clowns who didn't read or did not understand the previous chapters. Feige seems to think the MCU's shix doesn't stink - that's what DC thought too: *Who doesn't like Batman and Superman?* How can we fail? How'd that work out?

The biggest WTF moment for me was when Wong told Wanda about the copy bcoz she was going to kill a few sorcerers Wong & Strange let her kill nearly 50-60 sorcerers the same evening bcoz protecting the multiverse from her was the most crucial thing, but suddenly saving those 5 people becomes more important than saving the multiverse He could've just told her that there's no other copy, there's no other way, even if it meant sacrificing themselves But this movie was completely driven by plot convenience instead of logical decisions

Why not? She ultimately kills herself by bringing a building down on her which is a clear nod to the Wizard of Oz. This is just more really bad writing where anything can happen or not. She could die if she slips on her high heals, or survive a Nuclear blast. It's all the same to this film because there is no internal logic.

Big fan of Charles but his freezing powers have a limit . In X-Men first class he said he couldn't freeze Shaw for long because he was too powerful. Same is the case with Wanda . She is too strong to be freezed like that.

Well, for the stabbing, wanda has healing powers (her body was being ripped apart when she left the mirror dimension, but she instantly healed herself with her chaos magic) and she probably left her magic on auto pilot protecting her, since there's no way she would just go meditating without any protection, btw if someone destroys the darkhold you will die, being a direct hit or not, the only reason Wanda is alive is because the dark hold is a extention of Scarlet Witch herself, in fact in the comics she also absorbed it and she's above chthon himself who was supposed to be stronger than Scarlet Witch, since he created her to be his vessel, yet Wanda was so powerful that surpassed him and also absorbed him, Chaos magic would protect her from the memory spell, Wanda's Chaos magic is much superior than the magic of the sorcerers (strange, wong and the others) the only reason she was struggling with iluminati was because it was a weaker version of herself ( told by Elizabeth Olsen herself in a interview ) if it were Scarlet witch herself there then yeah they've been gone with no problem, also she would've been able to read wong mind even if he refused to tell her anyway.

My overall problem with the film - which I didn't like, is that it's made by a director and writer who don't really care about the MCU and it shows. Raimi just wants to make a Sam Raimi horror movie. Michael Waldron wants to build his own corner of the MCU - like Zack Snyder did with the DCU. The resultant dud of a film breaks continuity and breaks faith with the previous better MCU efforts including specifically - WandaVision, Infinity War and Dr. Strange 1. To me this is an MCU film, like Attack of the Clones with Jar Jar Binks, is, a Star Wars film.

@@martinacosta3821 WandaVision was terrific precisely because it was *not* another comic story about a hero punching a villain in the face. It’s a character study about love and grief. In terms of super powers it asks the question: What would happen if a person had the ability to alter reality, yet found that the reality of their life was filled with pain and suffering? They would eventually be tempted to alter reality. Fine. But in doing so, you take away the free will of others. Compared to *all* of the other Disney + shows Wanda Vision is actually deep. Yeah little Tommy watching Disney + just wants to see dumb shix, like in fact you get in Dr. Strange,, where she goes ham and turns Mr. Fantastic into Spaghetti.

Snyder and Waldron: Snyder turns Bruce Wayne into a fascist bully devoid of the intelligence and humanity that actually makes the character interesting: His Batman roams the *poor* neighborhoods of Gotham with military hardware engaging in drive by shootings at will. In some fantasy world where he is not regarded as a terrorist for doing so. Snyder’s WonderWoman bashes heads and splatters brains and blows up buildings for fun. Literally as this is *why* she does this - because Snyder thinks it’s fun. She’s a God just toying with humans for sport. Snyder’s Superman is in fact a sullen power hungry creep who somehow manages to commit genocide against his own people - of Krypton, for the clear reason that this makes him the *only* Superman in the Universe and eliminates the competition. Of course Snyder does not think he is destroying these characters - because he doesn’t think about them - in the 1st place. He just thinks about what would be cool in a *Zack Snyder* movie and looks at the characters as ‘toys’ or IP to be used to build his cool Universe based on Zack Snyder. Waldron is a wannabe Zack Snyder. He’s turned Wanda, Strange, Wong, America Chavez, Cap. Marvel, Peggy Carter, Reed Richards, Thanos, the Multiverse, the Infinity Stones, time travel, Loki, and Professor X into a joke. The characters are all shallow and silly. They are all unintelligent and do whatever they have to - to jump thru Waldron’s plot hoops, like trained monkeys in a circus. The multiverse/time travel/infinity stone, mysticism logic in the meantime is now completely incoherent. The rules of the MCU are impossible to make any sense of. Doesn’t need to for Waldron - he just needs to jump to the next plot hole, and hope you forget the previous one. It’s wretched.

Example: Waldron uses the book of Vishanti - a Maguffin, to replace character motivation. What does it matter what the nature of the character is if the ‘bad’ magic book just turns them into another character? This is lazy writing. The writer no longer has to do the hard work of developing character - which we saw in 9 episodes of Wanda Vision. He simply dismissed all the work of other *better* writers in order to turn Wanda into a cartoon baddie. Then he turns right around has Dr. Strange use the same ‘bad Maguffin’ bad magic from the bad book. But it does not fundamentally *change* his character at all. It just gives him cool powers - like Bruce Campbell gets the chainsaw arm when his arm is cut off: *Groovy* (Yeah Raimi I see what you’re doing - but you think you shix doesn’t stink and you are wrong, of course) Therefore Strange would also be… *eeeeevil* in terms of the logic he just established. But the film doesn’t want this. So it reverses and double reverses it’s own plot logic at will. This is exactly what Martin Scorsese meant when he dismissed the MCU: There are no real consequences, nothing is at stake. it’s just a silly amusement park ride where nothing matters. 1st Strange just gets a power up from the evil magic. Then in a silly end credit scene he gets a 3rd C-G-eye, (lol) Uh oh, Strange is now evil…this is classic Sam Raimi horror movie shock ending. But….MCU can’t even be serious for 2 seconds about evil Strange so we get another end credit scene where Charlez Theron just shows up and asks him on a date. His 3rd eye is now gone - so how serious can ‘evil’ Strange be. Wanda is dead cuz of bad book, but Strange is just more powerful and cool? How does this work then? What is the moral logic of the story? There isn’t any. It isn’t coherent. Wanda isn’t really even dead. Strange isn’t evil. Chavez doesn’t really care about finding her moms. Nothing makes sense, nothing that happened mattered at all, in any way. All of Dr. Strange’s 14 million 604 deaths to save the Universe didn’t really matter either. It’s just garbage writing as MCU is now laying waste to its own history just to milk it for another buck. Feige should be *ashamedI of these films. They are trash and someone needs to tell him so to his face.

Considering Wanda escaped from the mirror dimension and instantly healed her wounds (which were extremely deep cuts & broken bones) I really doubt being stabbed would have killed her. Btw Jaby "one of the kids had America Chavez's powers" no. America said there's no one like her. And certain things change between universes, but we have to assume every character has similar powers in all of the universes they exist.

She was nearly killed in Infinity War by Proxima Midnight who gave her a concussion and would have impaled her - had Okoye and Natasha not intervened.

Anything was happening, throwing character arcs down the gutter each and every step just for the sake of forwarding the plot.

My head canon is that the since the Darkhold corrupts its user, it may have corrupted Wanda to make the worst decision. Worst possible choices, that's why she literally can't think right, choose to do what's right because of her corruption, so even though she could have thought that there is a universe where her kids has no mom, she might have not thought of that because of her corruption.

I think think this movie suffers from the anakin syndrome. Just as it wasn't properly set up in the films (unlike the animated clone wars, which did a far superior job) of anakin's transformation to the dark side, the same can be said of wanda. I think there should have been at least a couple more wandavision episodes to help the audience buy in to her turn to darkness. To say, oh, the darkholde got its grips on her, was a bit like time travel--a convenient backdoor for the writers.

I list: Anakin lost a mother whom he could not visit because of the rules of the Jedi, even then he destroyed the Tuskens and ceased to trust the order. The Chancellor always treated him well and encouraged his ambitions. Further, he angrily killed the unarmed Dooku, breaking the code, was not given the title of master and was forced to spy on the chancellor, was not allowed to battle with Grievous, he saw Padme die, as he did with his mother, and Palpy promised to save her, plus promised strength, power and immortality, he was jealous of Obi-Wan, while Windu wanted to kill unarmed Palpy before his eyes, although the head of the Jedi himself ... Well, when Windu slammed, there was no turning back, only to complete the work of the empire. No need to watch the series.

Doctor Starnge :- Multiverse of Madness It's basically a horror movie with many doc strange 1 weird 3d stuffs that messes with your mind and A wizard (+kid with new powers ) vs Witch movie 😅😆. WAS TOTALLY WORTH THE WAIT .

7:39 That's a common misconception. Infinite possibilities DOES NOT mean EVERY possibility. It's completely possible to have infinite realities and Wanda being alive in every single one. It's even possible to have inifinite realities with everything exactly the same, except for this one tiny thing that have infinite variations. There are infinite numbers between 1 and 2, but it doesn't include the number 3. Infinity does NOT mean everything.

there are many types of infinity, you have mixed up what applies here, in an undefined environment, infinity is every element in every combination. in fact there should be an infinite number of universes where Wanda is gone.

It can just as easy be like I said and there's no plothole at all. And if you are being really nitpicky here, they never state there are literally infinite universes. All contexts they say something like that could be taken as an exageration. But it doesn't matter, because like I said, you can have infinite possibilities WITHOUT having every possibility.

The only reason Wanda was do powerful here was because of her sinister and weak mind for her kids and the manipulation by the darkhold . If you have seen" what if "you know what Dr strange did for his love ..and how it ended. But there was no one to rival him , and he became too powerful. Here although Wanda was powerful America Chavez and Dr strange were not going down without a fight and mostly she was destroyed by her own actions . Like the saying goes , if you can't destroy a person from outside, destroy them from within . Dr strange also actually read and knew about the ill effects of the dark hold from 1st movie and from the book of vaishanti . Cause if you see close enough , before the book was burnt , doc strange actually had a fair timed glance towards the last few pages and from 1st movie we know "the warnings comes after the spells" . I guess we might soon enough like in next 5 years in Dr strange 3 see our strange become sorcerer Supreme.
