I hated hated hated reading as a kid. I was absolutely terrible at it. They told me in 4th grade that I was so bad at it because I was dyslexic. Also, in 4th grade I taught myself how to read and write in cursive a year before everyone else in school so I could write stories in class without having to worry about anyone being able to read them... So, 30 years of different versions of that lol.

Same here. It was meant to be motivational i think. A better way of explaining it is that you learn in a different way. School can absolutely be for you. You may have to to develop different techniques. However
