@@ericlopez5218no such thing as rich folks who dont donate... If they do exist, they wont be rich for long. Rich folks understand money and how it works. Tax write offs means they can keep more. Learn the game.
No he’s glad he worked hard and won six championships and went back to back twice. The sneaker deal was a side hustle, Nike is the one that’s really lucky he signed with them.
@Jorge Delgado this is a Very good point actually, obviously it was good for both sides but your right the Jordan brand was basically Nikes biggest deal
@sebastianperson2439 I really like MJ and watching his old games. At the same time, did you watch the documentary about him and the Bulls? The Last Dance is the name....parts of him I did not like after that. But other parts made me like him a lot. So, ya know, good and bad parts of him, like everyone else . It is a great doc.
Well - I'm sure the one big goal he wants (provably as much as winn7ng those six rings and the NCAA Champ) is for the Hornets to become consistently good and to win a championship.
@@Boy-nz4uu that’s false. The Michael Jordan that INVESTS in prisons, is a 50+ year old white man. Do your own research before spreading bs on the internet because like you, there are other people that will believe something they saw on the internet with no sense to fact check it. And then what do you get? A bunch of idiots spewing bs as if they’re facts.
@@Boy-nz4uu no. I’m saying Michael Jordan the basketball player never invested or owned prisons. The Michael Jordan who is a white old man is the one who INVESTED in prisons. I literally could not have been more clear the first time. Lol
the IQ required to realize that there should be net positive money flow instead of negative in your life is the same IQ a newborn pigeon has. Now, getting as rich as him... that's a different story.
@@Hidden_Seeker_ Unfortunately this is not true, and the wealthy will actually save money at the cost of taxpayers, after making large- tax free donations.
It's like if you get in trouble with the law and they make you do community service. Ya your helping but only bc the benefits. And how do you know forsure he is donating a 100 mil? Have you seen receipts or work for the charity's he's donated to? Can't believe everything u read on the internet there young fella.
@@protic4 Yes it is true. Charitable contributions use pre-tax money, you can’t write off as much as you donate, let alone more. That’s just not how it works. Even with charity incentives, the write off is a fraction of what they donate I understand being skeptical of wealthy people, but this type of overly cynical thinking is only going to discourage them from actually doing something good with their money Question where the money goes, question the fraction of their wealth they donate, but don’t discourage charity. This is a good thing
I mean no matter what sneakers you buy if you have middle class income chances are whoever the owners of the brand are is most likely living a better life than the consumer.
"The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts." This quote reflects Marcus Aurelius' belief in the power of the mind. He believed that one's thoughts and attitudes could determine their level of happiness and that it was important to cultivate positive thinking and gratitude.
@@bestway6032 They still get most of that money though. "Here's the money you wanted... oh but it's a tax write off for someone I guess you don't want it now?" lol
@@Giyugoatwho cares what percentage of his wealth it is? That $100 million helped a whole lot more people than your 15%. Thank you for giving what you can but don't knock someone who gives far more than you.
yo they might be material at the moment but also are investments. personally I'd rather drive the Bugatti that jordan owned than a brand new one.. I'm definitely not his biggest fan or even a fan tbh but from a value aspect, that Bugatti is gonna be worth a load more than your average off the press one
His house here on Lake Norman is 2 houses down and he is genuinely the nicest guy. Everytime he comes into town he always invites everyone on our street together!
Honestly although it looks bad spending your wealth is good IMO, paying the salaries of the engineers making that jet and the construction workers building the golf course.
@@Kronos0999 Yeah but a lot of absurdly rich people became rich because of the work of others, and even then having a massive amount of wealth in the billions, you should be obligated to at least help out the people who are struggling in the world. Not talking about MJ obviously, but just in general. If I had a billion dollars, I probably wouldn't even need 90% of it but that's just me.
@@thisisntsparta5384 No. They worked smarter than the other people and had them work for their wealth. I don't care whatever morally questionable ways they got it, the thing is, they got it and outsmarted everyone. It's _their_ money to spend. The world doesn't owe you _anything._ Just because comparatively they are richer, doesn't mean they should "obligated" to give out their property. Lol, tf outta here.
Cost of living is different and the salaries are actually a benefit to the local economies if anything the real problem is pollution but there’s always trade offs
@@handyman1016 yeah. selling drugs, assault, rape and murder laws just to name a few sure are bullshit. let's just let them all free. what's the worse that could happen?
@@hinglemccringleberry9389 oh yeah, that one guy that sold a green plant and got busted by a cop that needed to meet their quota really deserves to be in jail for the same amount of time as a murderer
He’s not blessed, he’s the exact opposite. It’s almost as if you don’t read the Bible and just say the cliche nonsense everybody who thinks they’re a Christian says. Matthew 19:20-23 KJV [20] The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? [21] Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. [22] But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. [23] Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. 1 Timothy 6:10 KJV [10] For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
@supr4rce That makes NO sense! ...Logically. Like I said somewhere else, he has at least somewhat of a heart in there, because he hasn't shown himself to be an awful human being, so it must feel good to give to charity. Or feel good to make enough to know that you _can give_ that much to charity... even for the write off. To know you're so successful that you can pull that off and other people who need it benefit from it? _And so does he?_ That's Still Awesome! That's an amazing success. Success shouldn't keep you from heaven. 🙄👎🖕 Until this moment, I didn't even know he *had* TWO½ Billion! Only knew it was at least 1. So obviously he's not now & never has flexed about his money! Never talked or bragged about it, never harped on it, never made it what's important about him. So THAT'S humility. He doesn't even dress flashy like broke rappers do who are much less successful than him. Flashy and showing themselves to be ALL *_ABOUT_* money & materials! But do _they_ get to go because those who are broke are broke? Let's say they become better people (like Micheal), but stay broke. They go to heaven and he doesn't because he remains rich? MJ has a far better character. We all have flaws but I'd rather my kid look up to HiM than MaNY other men! And you're saying that after all the mistakes and learning, God doesn't honor THAT? Just because he worked hard and succeeded? Because he actually UTILIZED all of that human potential that God so-called gave to us? At the highest level of that sport ever?! Excuse me, but, fuck outta here with all that! Being rich doesn't make you evil. And money is NOT THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL. HOW you ACT and WHO YOU CHOOSE TO BE INTERNALLY & EXTERNALLY is what it's about or else it doesn't make any sense! THAT, and that only, is what should determine if you're evil. That's like saying that peace, good health and wellbeing makes you Godless. What. God doesn't want us to have peace? Like no one can be responsible for their character while having money? Funny though. I don't see God coming down here and making sure YOU don't need any of that evil money to get by. To eat, to pay the doctor, to take care of yourself and your family, to have heat in the winter and a roof over your head... or even that candy bar you like. So, what, it's only evil money if it's past a certain amount? Grow Up! Money in itself is not evil. I wouldn't say, for instance, Trevor Noah is evil. Beautiful character and at least he challenges his mind whether you agree or disagree, or laugh with him or not. So he's out too just because he has more PaPeR than you? GET OUT OF HERE!!!!
@@supr4rceJesus sent him away because the rich man didn’t want to follow Jesus more than he wanted his money. The guy left because he didn’t want to give up his possessions.
My most admired basketball player in NBA. My first born son is named after him, Jordan Raphael Parak. MJ life inspires people to be their best. Live long, MJ!
MJ, If you can read this message, you must be wary of all this publicity. Beware of the western's incurable malady: Jaundice! Do you see what I mean? JUST WATCH OUT!
I was 14 when moms surprised me with the a pair of Jordan 1's... Nike logo featuring the jumpman logo with wings. The thought that I wore them out, and ended up tossing them in the garbage a few years later, makes me SICK. Why couldn't I just leave'em in the box until 2022? I saw a used pair going for 3k on Ebay. 😳😢
You could say the same about all sorts of stuff, sealed video games and toys from the 90s/early 2000s go for crazy prices. Just buy some stuff now and never use it for 20-30 years 😂
@@BanlieueBabyI can guarantee you that almost everyone in the world knows who Jordan is. Can't say the same for Messi and if you think that Messi's apparel sell more then Jordan brand then you need to get your head checked.
Well think about this as well. Owning a basketball team, a NASCAR team, and partially owning a baseball team are huge investments, and he'll make way more money back than he ever spent on those teams.
