Social Security and SSI benefits for a "disabled adult child" change when a parent retires, dies, or becomes disabled themselves.
Learn from this conversation with Daniel E. Fortuño provides information on the impact of our own retirement, death, or disability. Social Security benefits kick in for our sons or daughters on SSI. Daniel shares good news on how to maintain those benefits to preserve services reliant on Medi-Cal / Medicaid benefits eligibility.
Social Security is a Federal benefit, so this applies to people across the country.
