Thanks guys! Really well done and to the point. I've often heard adaptation described in a way where it sounds like a personified or intelligent process as if adaptation makes a conscious decision. Perhaps many of these people were just using that type of language for brevity. seeing it balanced with the natural selection process makes it much clearer and is a much better way to teach it.

I agree 100%. When I explain this process I role model myself as a brown bunny that lives in Alaska- and then I scream (which gets everyone's attention) and pretend to rip my brown fur off and change into white fur- "sorry guys, that is not the way it works"

I really like the video- my only suggestion would be that you "tweek" the animation of the change in animals, my students have heard that monkeys turned into people- and that is not accurate. Monkeys changed over time based on their environment and humans changed over time based on their environment- one does not turn into the other. I hope to use more of your videos in my classroom
