These trains capacity are just *650 pax*.....if only they use 4 car MRT trains like KL ones... It'll be great... The capacity is huge... 1200 pax/4 car trains running with speed of 100kph is good
When I was In Dubai I Used RTA Dubai Metro For My Day To Day Travel Requirements With My Nol Blue Card & I Know That They‘re Doing Fantastic & Formidable Services For The All Merto Commuters With Their Best Services. I Take This Oppertunty To Say Thank You UAE Government ( Dubai Rulers ) & The RTA‘s Metro Director Of The Rail Operating Honor, Mohammed Al Mudharreh. Insha Allah I Do Hope To Use Dubai Metro Services Again If I Get The Employment Oppertunity In Your Beautiful Country...........Manju Perera, Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The issue is employees not happy because all of them are outsource company, and not directly working with RTA and their salary is low, let them work directly under RTA or Etisalat
Driverless rail systems are shit! They make people unemployed and if you live in country with a decent welfare system the money you think you save with a driverless system you spend on people on the dole and the social tensions within the society inequality rises. Perhaps no problem in Dubai as it got no decent welfare system and is no democracy. And driverless system also break down sometimes.
Wonderful. I would like to seek your permission to use part of your Video with TAMIL Language Commentary. Would appreciate the gesture. Due credit would be given in Video and in Description.
I’ve driven on Dubai metro train 5 years ago. The had approached to the underground station but it missed platform doors. After 20 seconds the train reversed without any issues. So I know who reverses trains in such cases :)
Nope you see its the Same as the VAL System they open the manual Control door with a key they sit near it and then they start clicking buttons that make the train slow down, accelerate, open doors ect
Good idea, to try new. Technology and it different.innovation is the future.the tapband, wear on arm to pay train and bus .it work.callyjones the best of the best..
It's nice that the video shows the words of Mohammed al Mudharreb, the director of rail operations, as he speaks and gives us a tour of the OCC. Unfortunately, much of the displayed words don't match his speech. Sometimes the printed words don't match, sometimes they just don't appear at all. Not a very professional job.

wingondemand did you just assume that I play with them? These are my fast means of transportation and I have been using them in Germany and Thailand with no problem. Quit acting like an average scared old American and be more open minded.
wingondemand safety my a$$ , these rules were made based off assumptions filled with paranoia, when hover weels came into existence they did get a chance to shine in the metro and malls but as we all know , they exploded and unpredictable of when they stopped working. Rollerblades on the other hand banned immediately by people who had zero experience/evidence backing their decision. Yes it's my problem, so you either defend that stupid rule or step aside and let me protest.
mcleftwich123 I do travel far with them, going around in deira and Dubai mall while wearing a kandura is a breeze. Also I'm from Abu Dhabi so it's not like I do that very often.
It is amazing, but its all Western technology. Driverless trains have been running in the Western countries for decades and at much higher frequency. I agree that Dubai is fantastic but don't try to say that its the first and things like that.
