"Blazing Saddles" was hilarious, & perfect the way they cast it. Madelyn Kahn was hilarious in it, if I had to choose the funniest performance in that movie her voice, the accent & speech impediment that she used, it was flat out hilarious as she sang the saloon girl songs. She was a gem.
I'm so glad and privileged to have grown up in the comedy of freedom to laugh and enjoy....Blazing Saddles pushed the comedic envelope in the proper direction. The mere emotion of the title makes me laugh outloud Dr. Rodas Neurosurgeon
You have no idea how many fans of Blazing Saddles there are, we have a Mel Brookes fan club on line. We talk about the movie all the time and why TV has a hard time airing the movie, we all just laugh. Just about all of us know every line to that movie, it's one of the best!
They could never release Blazing Saddles today - too much poking fun at "protected groups". Can't believe you didn't mention Harvey Korman's long run on the Carol Burnett Show. The big irony is that Brooks has outlived practically everyone in the movie.
For me it will always hold up to the test of time I never get tired of watching it And some good quarterable lines in it too Excuse me why whip this out
A great film noire. The fart seen is hilarious. Never can films be produced the way they were done those times. Thank you Fact Verse for bringing this film back to life.
Watched it AGAIN only last week. It is one of the best, cleverist and funny movies i have ever seen. Me and my bestie friend still sing 'im tired, tired of playing the game....' whenever we ask each other how we are doing.
You missed a couple David Huddleston - he was in the Big Lebowski years later and had also been in countless TV shows for years… John Hillerman - Higgins from the ORIGINAL Magnum P.I. Also In Paper Moon and later on Lucky Lady…. As well as appearing in numerous TV shows Alex Karras - remember him fro the TV show Webster? Lazy boy commercials…. And as himself in Paper Tiger, movie about George Plimpton spending time in training camp with the Detroit Tigers…. There’s probably more, but these are the only ones I can remember.
I have watched Blazing Sadels nearly 100 times! Going to see it again- never get tited of the crazy lines. I have also seen the other Mel Brooks filmes. Just love them. Hello from Sweden.
The first time I watched this film I fell about laughing, missing the following lines. I had to watch it again to catch the remarks I had missed the first time. This film was a watershed of sheer professionalism and showmanship. The humour was unexpected and today unacceptable. How about the "Don't risk the horses, send in a couple of N.....". The campfire scene with the beans. And Mongo's bull with YES NO brands. And his riding on Choo Choo. It was a roller coaster of gut busting humour, never seen anything like since. A Masterpiece!
Is that it? There has to be more actors that died. I want to hear them all. Blazing Saddles is one of the greatest comedies and one of my favorite movies.
We absolutely agree! Thank you for watching our content and for sharing your thoughts. What other types of videos would you like to see on our channel?
I first watched this movie at a drive-in at 16 years old, my 2 year older brother took me to see this...i had no idea what i was going to watch...the most funny movie i have ever seen!!!
In my opinion one of the two funniest films ever made, the other being Life of Brian. I have watched both films multiple times over the years and still cannot decide which is my number 1.
One if my favorite movie Scenes:...when the Sheriff was surrounded by the brothers and he told them he was new Sheriff they said " go head on Civil Service" and gave a swag cool hand shake to each other a head of their time
It was based on the 1939 film Desty rides again in which Marlene Dietrich made the greatest comeback in Hollywood history Playing the saloon bar hostess Opposite Jimmy steward
How do you miss Vanishing Point in Clevon Littles filmography? How do you miss Young Frankenstein in Gene Wilders filmography? And just pass right over Harvey Corman on The Carol Burnett Show( although supporting vid shows a Burnett show skit!) You sure did miss a lot of "facts"
I think the movie holds up but so many so called anti-racists claim how racist the movie is. I always get a charge out of it when I and a bunch of my girlfriends watch it. People nowadays are goofy, too goofy for life.
Blazing Saddles and Get Smart were Mel Brooks' best efforts. Alex Karras who played Mongo was an American Grid Iron player. John Hillier was the mayor and played Higgins in Magnum PI. I suppose given its age, most of the cast are dead, except the leading hand on the railway and Mel Brooks' secretary with the big boobs........and Mel Brooks himself......he is about 96.
Absolutely, we feel the same way! Thank you for sharing your sentiments and for watching our content. What other types of video would you like to see on our channel?
Mel movies made fun of everything And people laugh at it today people are too touchy. I get no kick from champagne, Mere alcohol, Doesn't thrill me at all, So tell me, why should it be true, That I get a belt out of you 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
And wow do I feel lucky now because I'll be 50 years old on July 15 and was born with a whole in my heart and had open heart surgery when I was 4 years old at sick kids hospital in Toronto and grew up fine until April of '06 when I got a blood clot which caused a stroke on my left side of my body went through 3 months of rehab to learn to walk talk and take care of myself and then on September first of '08 I didn't wake up that morning had a cardiac arrest which both my cat Nemo and my now ex wife Angy saved my life, Nemo won a Medel for saving my life a year later and Angy decided to leave our marriage at the end of that year and I just had Colon Cancer sugury last month and now in rehab hospital at st Peter's hospital in downtown Hamilton Ontario Canada where I currently live, but love Mel Brooks films especially space balls LoL
This is the most irreververent movie that could not be made today because of all the little assholes that would get their butt hurt feelings, I have a limited edition DVD with all the backstory in this movie and it’s hilarious. One of the greatest comedies ever made.
