Imagine a spaceship that is designed to be self sustaining to last as long as possible and travel as far as possible for 7 billion years that the sun shines for.
I'll never forget how blown my mind was as a kid in the nineties when someone showed me this type of animation of our solar system. I think there are probably plenty of people that still have no clue that this is how our solar system works as the sun travels around the galaxy.
I remember having to do a science project of our solar system with the sun being in the middle and the planets revolving around it in the 90’s. I literally just learned that the sun is flying through space from tiktok
I don't think many people really care how the solar system really works. We could use this animation to do a casual survey. Personally speaking this is mind-blowing

And likely the entire localized "universe" is moving through infinite space in relation to something much to large for us to conceive, much in the similar way to how electrons and atoms move in relation to us, and how our solar system is shown to be moving in relation to our galaxy. 🤯
@@zhester86 Cosmologically speaking it is unlikely to stay there forever, but for the minor duration humanity has been observing it, and probably will be able to observe it it has remained in that position in the sky. Likely just means we are both moving at a similar speed in a similar direction.

The choreographer in this ideal is the black hole at the center of the milkyway upon which every star systems in its gravity field moves in a chaotic order from which we are planetary systems tandem each our star with our own and given choreography. In the vastness of time and space, even the longest lived stars are like sparks from a grinding wheel. Planets are blims of soot following those dying sparks. Things like safety and security are an illusion.
due to the sun's gravity, everything in orbit is bound to the sun. if you move the star everything else moves along. same if you would move the center of the galaxy, every single billions of stars in the milky way moves along
Your wrong., The sun isn't moving, it is revolving., The vacuum of space is making the planets floats and attract each other by their magnetic poles, since the planets has a North and south magnetic poles they preventing to collide each other due to the rotation of the planets that changing it's poles by rotating around the sun. I suspect that the sun maybe the first planet to rotate and attract the other planets around him and starting them to rotate.
@@renleedativo1679 you dont understand one bit of gravity, planetary motion, or even basic science since you assumed magnetic forces can affect planet's movement but cant pull all the cars and metals towards the star. also the sun isnt a planet, its a star. gravity bends space time. it shifts the balance between space and time a little bit so that the time is a little off axis and is now pointing towards the gravity center. every single thing travels along the time axis at a fixed amount every second (you travel 1 second along the time axis every second) but because the time axis is now a bit warped, in the "future" of the object it is closer to the gravity well center. here's a video that can explain about gravity, and how it relates to space-time fabric ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GQZ3R81iyE0.html
I mean we kinda did, many times actually, like for example the dinosaurs were wiped by an asteroid. The moon was created from earth chucks when it was hit by another planet. Even today we still are “hit” by rocks from space but they just burn up in the atmosphere.
@@Sxb3r You’re absolutely correct, I just realized I failed to mention in my comment how we haven’t collided with anything catastrophic while us humans inhabit earth
It's interesting to ponder that even if we are motionless our bodies are never in the same space for our entire lives. Just sitting here I'm traveling through space to where I've never been and will never be again.
سورة يس وَالشَّمْسُ تَجْرِي لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ ﴿٣٨﴾ Surah Ya-Seen And the sun runs its course towards its destined point. That is the design of the Almighty, the All-Knowing.
it’s because motion can only be relative to something else, never absolute; i.e. a car traveling 60 mph is really traveling 60 mph relative to earth, but relative to the sun is traveling at approximately 67,000 mph
Also there are simulation softwares like Matlab that can accurately simulate the solar system and beyond and moving through time you can see where things will be with a high degree of accuracy.
@@MBVdO 🤯 is anything in the universe not travelling super fast? I mean is anything not moving at all? I guess not if it was a big bang right? So black holes have some mad trajectory too then right? Is this why wormholes constantly break and form?
So if you went back in time in a time machine you might wind up 10,000 feet in the air just going back a minute in space/time. Nice to know! Nice to know!
it's amazing to think that stillness literally doesn't exist. stillness is just perceived with a point of view but everything in the universe has always been moving and will always be moving, sometimes faster, sometimes slower, but always moving. so philosophical
Or not. Perhaps it is as simple as we are still. God says the earth is immovable- many times. How people buy into this outrageous spinning and racing while we can sit by a lake and there is not a ripple on it. We can feel the slightest puff of breeze. @@suluntulu Depending where you travelled youd orbit at different speeds and in different time frames. The closer to the centre the faster you'd travel and (I think this is the right way round) the slower time would progress for you from Earth's perspective.
We can't leave low earth orbit. NASA has confirmed that. How did they get that telescope out there? The heavens show God's glory. The firmament shows his handiwork.
I’ve been calling earth a spacecraft for years, and people thought I was insane. I asked, “Given how long interstellar travel would take, how would you imagine the spacecraft would need to look?” They then describe a sustainable spacecraft with vegetation and life. My response, “that’s earth!”
You are "insane." From which reference point did you stand in this so-called space to see earth, your mothership flying thru space. Personally I thought this video was a mess that I have no chance of fully understanding. Cameraman moving around like he's filming a Fast and Furious car chase. Just random movement. I really wanna see a version of this that I can look at properly.
haha... what i learned was we are revolving around the sun and that's all,... when i imagine it, i can see the sun as static while those planets are revolving around the sun. BUT NOW! what i saw in this video is very amazing!
This is false science, we are not a spaceship moving through space, if that were the case then we would be seeing different clusters of stars in different patterns moving across the sky, and they would move relative to how we would move as a ship until new stars would eventually fill the sky, that's not the case, the stars we see stay in the same position of the sky and never change. If we were constantly moving you'd see the sky's change, they don't, so we aren't
Its kinda terrifying when you thinking about how we're just hurtling through space and could die at any moment. But also we gotta worry about taxes and dmv registration
🤯🤯 like I knew it, but reading your message with this video example it blew my mind a bit when I actually imagined that lol. Hard to Grasp how little we are
This is my theory why time travel won't work. It's not simply finding the time to go back to, but the place as well. Say the time thing was possible, without the location you'd just TP to 1942 in a random place in the universe.
Yes its something to ponder once just once and then go about your day because it's absolutely irrelevant to think about where u were at in space when u were borne it's not information that will help make you a better person it's not information that will help u figure out problems in your life and the samn goes for the info about how fast we are traveling around our Solar system or Galaxy ok great info now what can I apply it to what good does knowing that do me we are not even going to reach mars for another ten years or more let alone any other planet and then what how long how many years are going to go past till we achieve interstellar capable space craft I'll tell u longer then u or I or your kids kids kids will be alive for so its pointless if we focused as much energy on fixing the broken shit on this planet instead of what's 10 20 5 light years away maybe we wud be better off as a planet of people but nope our government dumps ALOT of money into exploring space needlessly now I'd like to add I want to go to the moon that wud have a point but going past Mars serves no purpose
I often think about this in time travel movies. They never talk about how we would have to travel to a different part of the galaxy to be where the Earth was 10 years ago. And that's not even counting the movement of galaxies!

@@zdizzlefoster2443 - It IS incredibly difficult, bc we have no reference point for where exactly in space the Earth was at any given time. How would you pinpoint it? Coordinates? Based on what? Longitude and latitude? Not gonna happen, space is infinite and expanding. There's no end to space, so there are no walls and if there aren't any walls or limits to space, then how are you able to map where Earth is located? You're probably assuming we could measure our distance from other planets. But they're also moving. More importantly, we haven't kept a record of our location at any given moment in time, other than where we are located within our own solar system. If the entire solar system is ALSO constantly moving, then we have no way of determining where we were exactly. You'd be guessing and landing in the middle of empty space. It's not like we're moving forward in a linear direction - the Sun is rotating, as is the entire galaxy. So it's not enough to go backwards, we'd have to determine in what shape we were rotating and whether after a millenia of orbits, do we at any point come back around to where we started? There's no way to know for sure.
@@YourMajesty143 those conditions aren’t too difficult to measure, formulate equations to back trace the route we have traveled and pinpoint the location. What would be difficult is actually building a time machine and it being able to transport us intact.
