She was fantastic. I want a prequel on the Angel of Verdun. She's like Tom Cruise, insane work ethic and barely edges. Emily Blunt is a perfect representation of a non-musclehead action hero - someone who people who can identify with. I love The Rock, but there's no way in hell I can identify with that Atlas of a man.
My bf got me to watch it. My only gripe is.. how does she know it stopped working unless she died and never came back to live and redo another day? I never understood that loophole
Emily Blunt did a fantastic job in Edge of Tomorrow. She would have been the perfect replacement for Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor in Terminator Genisys 2, if Paramount Pictures hadn't canceled Terminator Genisys 2. A shame she turned down Black Widow in the MCU and she would have been great in the role.
Why are you guys so obsessed with edge of tomorrow, your videos pop from time to time on this movie. I am not sure how many times I've already watched it and your videos make me watch it again.
Only people that dont train will believe that 2.5 months is enough time to build any significant physical strength and or muscles, unless of course u use PED’s
Just because you can't achieve the same results in that amount of time without enhancements doesn't mean it's not possible. Also she wasn't in that bad of shape before hand and that helped.
I been training for years and I’m not done yet. 2.5 months is nothing unless she wants to be skinny and flat. Women especially don’t have the hormones men do to build muscle as fast. She looked pretty skinny in edge of tomorrow.
I just saw a guy who works out a lot do a mile with 70 lbs in back pack. *ok not bad* 20 lbs ankle weights *that would kill me in a mile* I think a 35 lb kettle ball each hand, and pull 150 lbs of weights on a plank connected to harness. This was a fit guy. Iirc a mile took almost 2 hours. *frequent breaks* For her to move well in +80 lbs for hour. Impressive
I didn't know people considered her body "Ripped" in that role. No shade at Blunt... She looked completely fine, in the role... But, "Ripped" never entered my mind.
"Athletic" definitely. "Skinny" yes. "Ripped"... oh yeah now that I think about it maybe she was. Hard to tell under an 80 lb exoskeleton with all your clothes on.
There are 2.2 pounds to a kg ... so, about 39kg - I'm a fat bastard at 92kg - so Emily would have been no more than 70kg at the time. She would have been carrying around more than half her body weight, that's for sure I don't believe it - I think, while heavy, the suit looked heavier than it was - and was maybe 20kg (44lb)
I don't think you said the exoskeleton weighed 85 pounds often enough. To make up for it, from now on you should say it 50 or 60 times every time you go to the bathroom.
But you can't act.She got all that , because she proved she was a good casting choice. You need to have something that other's value to get all that millions.
@@bheeshma8664 I'm sure I can put on clothes, and say what people write for me to say... I'm not an Actor because I wasn't born into a family that was an Actor before me, to get me in the right doors. She was born female and attractive, and born into a rich family with ties to acting. To think she did it all on her own, or didn't have an advantage is insanity. I'm not saying she's not a good actress, or she isn't dedicated to working out, but it's really easy to do that if you're born into a life style to which that's the norm.
@@2adamast She did it in 2.5 months when she was already in good shape. Not like she was ever overweight, or in poor health. All they did was tone her up, 2.5 months isn't that difficult, given the resources available to her. (Still not impressed)
Too bad scheduling conflicts prevented Emily Blunt from playing Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff in the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise making us stuck with the scrawnily miscast Scarlett Johansson in the role.
ZERO chance the suit was 80 lbs. that’s just dumb if you think that I believe that little woman is carrying more than 60% of her own body weight the whole time. Ridiculous
The weight is distributed throughout her entire body. Are you suggesting that if she gained 80 lbs of fat she would not be able to move? And at 5'7" she's hardly little.
They won't tell you what really happened because it is the secret of the trade. With a budget of USD178 million plus some huge marketing expenditure,I do not think it is all about actors sweating themselves at the gym. And,just because someone has a "ripped" physique it does NOT mean that he or she is fit and healthy.
Yo Meth, hold up, hold up Yo Meth, where my Killer tape at, God? First of all, where my... where the 🪿 is my tape at? Yo son, I ain't got that piece, son How you ain't got my 💩 when I let you hold it, man? Yo, 🥷 came over with Emily Blunt kid
Strange, that you can fill 9 minutes of RU-vid video re the training of Emily Blunt and her preparation for Edge of Tomorrow without showing one single scene of how she was working out but tons of circumstantial materia telling you... exactly nothing! Emily = great, this video = not so great.
if i was getting paid millions for one job i bungee jump off mount everest let alone train for 2 months come on for ffs make it sound like she's gone to war for 5 years
Funny how you put so much emphasis on her training for 2.5 whole months lmao. You can always spot a simp. 2.5 months training for a man or a woman doesn't do anything and it certainly isn't an achievement of any kind.
