Another great vid man. Been waiting on this. I’m an optician and I’m particularly bias to RayBan’s so it’s awesome hearing commentary on clubmasters and wayfarers. Fun fact: no one is perfectly symmetrical so glasses will usually fall to one side or another on your average person. Manufacturers are aware of that so frames are made to be adjusted. If a frame doesn’t fit well, bring it to any optical shop (Eye doc, LensCrafters, Costco, etc.) to have an optician adjust it to your crown. Usually is free or will cost less than $10. Thanks for the awesome content man!

This was a great comparison. I have pairs of sunglasses across the value spectrum (Ray Bans, Goodrs) and like you mentioned, what constitutes a good value is up to the individual. What we need are the observations you provide to allow us to make our own decision on what pair would provide the best value. Keep up the good work!

I don't understand the phenomenon of people losing their sunglasses. I've never had a nice pair (looking to get some) but I still have never lost any of my cheap ones, either. Maybe it's because I also wear regular glasses, so I'm cognizant of where my glasses are, whether normal eyeglasses or sunglasses.

There definitely are some expensive sunglasses that are worth it- Japanese acetate and construction is generally better than Italian for sunglasses for example. Though I agree with the point that designer names don't bring quality.

The Jade Blacks are probably not good. I’m just going off something else I purchased from them which was not good quality. Purchased an ESNTLS hoodie for $60 and after a couple washes it shrunk, also the stitching was not done well as it was tearing/loosening. I’ve purchased other hoodies in that price range that have lasted several years. Unacceptable for $60 and I got no response after an email with pics of the hoodie.

I used to always buy cheeper glasses until I bought my first a pair of Lunor eyeglasses and sunglasses. They are the best quality and they are all handmade in Germany. Another great brand is MYKITA, they have the more styles then Lunor and they are also made in Germany. They are both at the high end $500+ a pair. But they are definitely worth it. I have had them almost 5 years and they look like new. It is definitely worth the investment.

Okay when you live in latinAmerica a 50 dollars pair is one you do take care off. From 50- 200 which is my range in my mini collection i treat them with care. In México a 50 dollars pair its close to 1,000mxn so we take care of that price range. Ill might get the good R for the days i spend with my nephews or when im wearing my tiny handbags. I know this is a males sunglasses chanel but im a,women in love with sunglasses. My collection runs from good to very good. So i still need my pair of cheapies that for some strange reason haven’t got. Will check good R i need a pair of cheapies in the 20 range

Yes, finally someone speaking the truth, those guys (tmf and alpha M)piss me off when they say their sunglasses are better than Ray.Ban. let's be real, this probably isn't true
@The_Kavalier
@The_Kavalier 5 лет назад
How should I consider the polarized sunglasses? Is UVA/UVB good enough for most uses? How can I save my eyes and see my HUD¿?
@vindicator75
@vindicator75 5 лет назад
@@The_Kavalier Polarized lenses are the best for outdoor use. It reduces any horizontal glare coming off surfaces, for example the huge glare on the water and snow. This is why it's excellent for driving, fishing, etc. You can basically see through the glare on water, so the water becomes clear and you can see fish or anything in the water. It also makes it more comfortable as glare is cut down. Only draw back with polarized lens is it makes the dashboard on planes difficult to see, that's why it's not recommended for pilots. UVA and UVB protection is good enough for outdoor use as those are the harmful rays that come from the sun. I'm not sure if you are referring to harmful blue light that is coming off any type of screen when you say HUD. A blue light filter is recommended if you are on the computer, phone, watch alot of tv or anything with a screen. The Blue light filter is pointless on sunglasses as the sun doesn't really emit harmful blue light as much as a screen, although it is possible to have the blue light protection coating on polarized lenses aswell, but I don't really see the point and for the price difference you will pay.
