It's called Aspirated (Speech) Spanish. Many countries in America make the same but with some variations in each country.

My Spanish teacher from Venezuela does that, she pronounces the 's' short and soft. I met some people from Argentina when I was in Bolivia and they dropped the 's' sound completely, which I found really difficult to understand at the time.

From June 2017 to July 18 I made some really great Venezuelan friends. They all had advanced college degrees, many of them with European passports, but some of the complained that there was prejudice. Even those who were blond with blue eyes...the Spaniards didn't like their Venezuelan accents and didn't want to rent to some of them.

Nicedog1: one of the girls in the interview, who talks about her friends in advertising is spaniard and speaks with a perfect Castilian accent Also, the man from Córdoba is spaniard and he speaks with an Andalusian accent

I like this channel because it doesn't patronise the learner by making the language so simple it is silly. The people speak normally. There is a good mix of straight forward questions and answers to more complex. There is language a beginner can benefit from to more challenging language for early intermediates to enjoy. A more fluent speaker, I think, will feel pleased that they can just listen and understand. There are so few language channels that get this mix of interest and language progression. I am so glad I found it. It has given me confidence to go from beginner to intermediate.

Es cierto que la electricidad - la luz, decimos nosotros - es horriblemente cara en Madrid - una de las más caras del mundo -, pero el error del recién llegado a Madrid suele ser buscar un alquiler en el centro, donde son obscenamente caros. En los suburbios de Madrid son mucho más baratos, incluso en pueblos limítrofes. Y la calidad del transporte hace posible llegar al centro fácil y rápidamente.

Keep making videos. Especially for your new travel channel. Nosotros necesitamos mas videos de viajes en español. It was also interesting that bigger cities has a diverse population of people from all over the world. I would find it equally interesting for you to interview non native Spanish speakers, not just Madrilenos or Espanoles, that live and work in those cities. They obviously had to have a higher level of Spanish to live there.

No, these were all random people I interviewed that day! It was surprising to meet all the Venezuelans. A lot of Spanish people rejected me, so I ended up only with these interviews which for the topic fitted perfectly for what I was asking! :) Don’t worry, more episodes are coming!

@@messaex la Sanidad española está considerada una de las mejores del mundo porque es universal (nunca te cobran por ir al médico) y tiene profesionales y servicios de muy alto nivel. Ser médico está considerado una de las mejores profesiones en este país, incluso es el grado universitario más solicitado y el más difícil para acceder, necesitas unas notas y expedientes muy altos. Si tuviera que decir un error, sería la lista de espera. Si tu problema de salud no es urgente, puedes estar esperando mucho tiempo pero si el problema es complicado, entonces es más rápido.

I live in US and ive been thinkin of movin out of the country and to Spain. i dont like it here but i speak perfect Spanish and would love to move to spain. Did u move there?

roxy jasprose yea I moved here right after I graduated high school about a year ago because I wanted to go to college abroad and I spoke Spanish fluently so I decided to move to Madrid for college and I love it here so if your thinking about it even if you have some doubt I highly recommend it I came here all by myself not knowing anyone and it was the best life decision I ever made

I was only 17 years old and I had only graduated a day before my flight to Madrid so I was kinda scared but I don’t regret it at all

roxy jasprose no it’s totally fine I’ll answer what ever questions you have. No I didn’t stay in a dorm I had the option too but I found an apartment to share with another girl who I met on Facebook that was studying at the same college as me for cheaper than living in the dorms. They treat foreigners really well here especially Americans they love us. However there is an idea that we’re all wealthy so they’ll try to up charge you on a lot of things so just be confident when your buying stuff so you don’t over pay but if your in the cities like Barcelona or Madrid they won’t do it as much because they’re used to foreigners. I came home for quarantine so I’m in the states right now but when everything clears up I fully plan on returning and I’m going to buy a house and work on getting my spanish citizenship
