Soy rusa, pero vivo en Canada. Me gusta mucho apprender otras idiomas, como el español por ejemplo, que estoy apprendiendo por casi un año ahora. Me encanta mucho la cultura sudamericana, por su diversidad cultural, sus bailes, y la naturaleza. También amo mucho la cultura caucásica, porque aparte de mi familia es de allí, y es también una region muy diversa y rica culturalmente. Gracias mucho pos vos videos!

I'm Persian (from Iran) and I LOVE my culture😍we have interesting festivities and celebrations like Nowrooz (new year) that is celebrated from the first day of spring, for 13 days💚🌿 We do a lot of visits to our family and friends' houses and they pay back the visits. We also travel to different cities or countries during this 13-days vacation. And we also have Yalda Night or Chelle Night which is the last night of autumn (the longest night of the year in Solar Calendar). We stay up the night, gather with our family & friends, eat nuts, pomegranates & watermelone🍉, and read Persian poetry😍🍷📚 we stay up to see next day's sun & celebrate the victory of light over darkness💫We have so many other celebrations too (like Chaharshanbeh-Soori, Khooneh-Tekooni, Sizdah-Be-Dar, etc) but the two festivities I explained briefly are the most famous in the world ;)

La cultura mexicana es la mejor que he experimentado, yo viviría en México el tuviera la oportunidad. La gente, la historia, que se puede ver en todos los museos que hay, la comida, que es la más rica que he probado en mi vida, las vistas, los lugares históricos... podría decir mil cosas más! México es mi país favorito por su gente, su cultura, su comida y es tan hermoso y siempre hay algo que hacer. Es un mundo completamente diferente de Europa y es un mundo donde podría vivir mi vida entera.

De mis experiencias con ellos, admiro mucho la cultura de los Catalans, que tienen espíritu muy cálido y abierto. Me atraen la atención las culturas de asía central porque vivía un año en tashkent, el capital de Uzbekistán, y aprendí mucho sobre la historia, las tradiciones, y la situation política de este parte del mundo. No soy fan de la cultura allá porque no hay igualdad para mujeres, LGBTQ, etc, pero es verdad que esa parte del mundo está en mi corazon

Me llama mucho la música andina, así que, se puede decir que me gustan los países con raíces incaicos. Fue a causa de mis experiencias como turista en el ecuador que aprendí español. También me gusta mucho la cultura japonesa. Me gusta como coexiste lo contemporáneo con lo antiguo en Japón. Me fascinan los raíces sintoístos y animistsos que les dice que cada cosa tiene un ser...como si fuera un duende, y por eso debe ser respetada. También conozco las Islas Filipinas. Son la gente más amables y cálidas que he conocido en mi vida...por eso me gusta mucho su cultura de “halo halo”.

I see an asterisk in Easy Spanish videos in a place where you would not see it in English, for example "sin que les* dijéramos". What does the asterisk mean in this context?

I think they are putting the asterisk when the person used incorrect Spanish, and they corrected it for the subtitles. e.g. the lady said, "tienen una cultura muy respetada hacia la naturaleza, hacia los seres vivos" and they changed that. The other guy said, "sin que le dijeramos nada" so they changed it to "les."

Hi! For "I've been learning 3 months now" would be: "Llevo 3 meses aprendiendo" o " He estado aprendiendo por 3 meses" "He estado aquí" would be used to express that you have been somewhere (aquí/here): "He estado aquí en el cine esperando por una hora"

Yo creo que lo dice porque la mayoría no eligieron países “tercermundistas”. Obviamente mucha gente prefiere países más desarrollados. Yo soy latino pero vivo en Europa y aunque me gusta latinoamerica (solo he estado en 3 países diferentes allá), pero admirar, admirar... me atraen más los países Europeos y asiáticos por el tema de la seguridad, su cultura y su modelo de sociedad, pero eso no significa que despreciemos al resto. Es solo que te atrae lo distinto, y si, cada país latinoamericano es diferente, pero tampoco tanto como puede ser Mexico de Corea o Mexico de Alemania.
