That coral dupe 5 star system is enough for me to like this game a lot more already. The question is not if i want to upgrade the "constellation/imprint" of my hero, the question is if it is possible to do so without getting the character 6 times on a (limited) banner
@@kinderbomb That sounds like a lot, but atleast it exists. I will have to see if it actually takes that long or if it is shorter/longer before i decide if i will save for it (idk what else i can buy with that currency)
Sad to see that they copied genshin on their new gacha design. PGR was pretty exceptionnal with the rate-up character being garanteed on their banner. It had other issues but at least the stupid hoyoverse 50/50 wasn't one of them We'll see how egregious the powercreep is in WW, but this alone makes it unlikely that it'll become a main game for me
This wouldve been a genius move on their part because games like these will always have whales that e6 everything and that rate up would encourage and incentivize a lot more players to spend a bit more casually but it is what it is@@F.I.N.A.L.I.T.Y.
Or they could go with what Aether Gazer did on their updated banners. same event banner with different pity. one banner has 50/50 with 70 pity while the other has 100% with 90 pity. The great thing about the 100% banner is that you can still get other s-rank(5 star) characters yet the pity will not reset until you get the banner character. Both banners has the same rate according to the rate details, which is 1.6%. You can also get two s-rank characters on one 10 pull as I watched someone did it
I was playing and willing to play more, until I decided to search how the gacha + currency and works so I could focus more to farm the new characters and get my own stronger, but then seeing how it works I discover that basically it's almost impossible or insanely grindy throughout months or years to get only ONE your character to be the strongest possible, this is outrageous for me, I've never played any of gacha games and decided to give it a try, but I didn't knew how hard it was to get things in the game, I thought I could farm 1-2months casually to get my character to MAX since you have new characters coming out every time and you have a team of 3 characters, so obviously you want to change some of them at any point, but no, it's exceptionally hard to do that even paying lots of cash. I don't even need to say about the 50/50 banner that's the most dumbfuck shit that I've ever seen, even pay2win games are more sincere and less money grab than that, because they at least let you buy whatever the fuck you want, instead of hoping to get the character that you want with the less amount of money possible. And we have limited banners as well, you want the character but you're free2play and you couldn't because you got another 5stars after the 80 pulls and didn't farm enough to get 160 pulls which takes forever to get, well, get fucked, now you'll need to wait years to get this character again because it'll never show again in a banner in the next 1-2 years for sure and you can't get it in this meantime. I thought after the character banner ends he becomes a "basic" character and you're not guaranteed to get him anymore but you still can pull in the basic character banner for the chance of getting him but no... Anyways, I hope good luck for whoever decide to play this game F2P you gonna need
Maybe you are referring to the concept of pay2win, yeah genshin is not pay2win considering they dont even have a pvp system. But f2p-friendly is a diffrent topic. Like the topic of how generous they are at giving away free pulls / currencies. Or how significant the eidolon upgrades are.
I hate advice that says dont try to min/max or go for meta. That makes games fun for me, it is a style and personality type of certain gamers. It sounds like suggestions to not try, and if I don't have to try, and theres no difficulty either. Then I guess I can just skip the game, it is too casual. I know certain people strictly stay away from grindy games, and I do have a limit too, but it is the way that this piece of advice that is given out by almost everyone that really irks me. The right way to phrase it, is non meta units are completely viable, you can pick the most non-meta unit and do good in this game, so feel free to play how you want.
As someone who played Punishing Grey Raven and liked it a lot, I'm familiar with Kuro's taste for making skilled-base content. I'm positive this will turn many people away. Genshin has attracted so many people because of how casual it is. I've been a gamer my whole life so I can't empathize with the seemingly large crowd of hyper casuals that just fucking suck at games and have zero common sense. Wuthering Waves will have a smaller playerbase once the super casual crowd realizes they suck and don't wanna git gud. Either way, I look forward to this game.
For me, it is going to come down to how many pulls you can gather in a mouth. Day 1 event launch are fine and all. For player like me who hate long grind dailys. People are going to drop the game pretty fast
not really the great part of this game is that they cater for both casual and min/max players. u can do your daily stuff and log off and those min/max players can just grind whole day to get the best stats from echos etc
I think that argument doesn't work well because f2p doesnt always mean easy to play or beat but a game can be easy to beat with no money but have trash pull rates and never able to get the characters you want
Wth , no. I play 5-6 gacha games and genshin is the least f2p friendly. You have to wait months if not a whole year to hyperinvest into one unit. Exploration barely gives you two 10 pulls and there is no repeatable endgame where you can farm a few pulls.
I think its more F2P friendly since if youre skilled enough you can beat anything. The attractive side of the game is the difficulty, I feel like spending takes some of that away
yeah would succ if all the difficulty would be taken away by some zhongli lookin ahh shielder but i believe in them bc stuff like shields and heals dont scale with stats like genshin so its less likely theres a crayz brocken support (dont mind mah quirky spelling:3) and like no way they release a dps THAT good like either the dps breaks stagger instantly or just one shots the boss which i have a hard time believing lmao
just like the abyss genshin if want farming their money gacha but yea if already play too long in the end spending like montlypass even battlepass X'D me still hold not spending just waiting until character like raiden shogun whutering waves version or more hype cool characters and good skills status too
How many copies do you require of each character/weapon in order to unlock their potential? Like genshin your character will be a lot worse if you dont get like 6 copies...
If only the 50/50 system would just f off I would be delighted. Overall tho I hope this game turns out to be neat, I'm going in semi-blind (seen video, but haven't played the betas) so lookin forward to seeing whats out there.
I like how it is in TOF , 120 pulls to guarantee and pity does not reset. The game became grindy and shit , no question. But the way they implemented it there rewards you for being lucky
@@kylechapin5466 that is useless cause f2p players ALWAYS pulls character first and if they lose 50/50 they ll pull until the guaranteed(if there are still pulls),also i do not pull weapons for characters that i don t have
disappointed to see 50/50 on characters banner and 100% on weapon banner(useless af)in a kuro game.F2p players always go for characters frst spending all pulls until they get it or lose 50/50 and stop, never going to pull weapons for characters you don t have, unless it is an insane general usage weapon and even then,f2p players must manage their resources so it happens rarely.bad move from kuro
@@anakinraliere5637 im like 90% sure as most games in that genre do that? also they didnt mention its gacha being different in that way and if it does everyone dropping wuwa in like 20 days once they find out kuro is probably smarter than to immediately cook their hyped game like that lmao
Their other game called "punishing: gray raven" literally gives u enough currency to guarantee every future 6 star chars and their pity is only at 60 pulls with a 100% guarantee, not to mention they also give out 6 star chars selector on their anniversaries, also their weapon is at 80% guarantee at 30 pulls and it stays forever so u can just reroll anytime and select ur desired weapon. so idk, this game might not be as generous as pgr but probably a lot more generous than most gacha.
@@lvl500mage4different game my guy, if you want to bring pgr into equation. Theres hi3 for mihoyo game when 10pull guarante *5 weapon or stigmata and you can uncap weapon free without dupes. S rank guaranted at 100 but they make most old S rank farmable in the shop and give it away at every patches.
Some gachas do have it , but they don't emphasize it.....for example some gachas I play have percent based ranking. They will tell you if you are in the top 1% or 2% ..or any bracket below that for certain gamemodes.
in genshin its rlly hard to clear abyss without cons and rs yes u can just focus all ur pulls on the most meta characters ever and still do fine f2p but thats just sad abyss is basically pay walled bc in order to beat it f2p u needa only pull meta characters or grind all day (from my experience in 3 yrs f2p) but whats the point of the abyss ten pull or so if u spent wayyy more trying to get neuvillette and furina with their weapons and basically no one else in fontaine abyss is a flex and its only a flex if u beat it easily which as an f2p u basically cant and as abyss is the only endgame the endgame is essentially locked for f2ps so its not really pay2win but pay2flex/have fun
We should keep on supporting the game even if it's just small amounts. If everyone goes fully 'F2P' then the game wouldn't last long and would plunge down because the quality might degrade due to budget issues. Everyone should be reminded that being a lightspender is better for the game than nothing at all. Pure F2P means supporting nothing at all..
I think many players will automatically do that. First impressions are important, if it offers something different than Genshin or something that is better, people will play automatically.
It's progression super gated and pay to win, just look at the Resonance Chain. Max gear and level without maxing Resonance Chain is like playing the character with only 25% of their true strength. Unless you want to permanently play with 4 stars character 😪 If you are not super rich, don't even bother pulling 5 stars character, they will be useless compared to the free starter characters. Game will be dead soon because of that Resonance Chain system.
