Great content. The last piece of advice is brutal but necessary: "You are not losing yourself if you lose your business. You are not your startup." Thank you
Thank you for sharing Simon. It’s not easy to share a failing experience. I am sure you do that so others could learn from your experience. I am really thankful for that. With the mentality of giving and doing the right thing, I believe your next adventure will be a hugely successful one. From one founder to another.
Thanks a lot Heini and Simon for sharing, this is very brave, really brave from Simon! We can see the sadness in his eyes! But, for the crazy people like us that are about to start this kind of adventure, this video gives us a lot of lessons learned! Simon this is not the end, it is just the begining! Trust me! Blessings!
Being a start up founder myself, 1 year into the journey I found this very inspiring. Thank you for sharing Simon. I can relate to so much of what you were saying - especially the statement that you can make so many many right choices and still not be certain of a win. Good luck for the future.
Simon, the bestest trait may not be your business idea; but it is your resilience to keep going. resilience is super important for entrepreneurs in any country or culture. you've got it. hats off to you!
How courageous Simon. Very important advice to have your personal risk management and know when enough is enough. I wish you all the best for the future, and I hope you will try again at some point when the market is again on an up trend.
Thank you very much Simon for sharing your story, not everyone dares to do it, most just want to show stories of triumphs. What you shared with us is very valuable to me, because it makes me feel that I am not alone. Those of us who are founders know that this is a lonely and tortuous path, that it is difficult to open up to colleagues or family, because we want to contain everything bad so that it does not affect them, and doing that all the time is very exhausting. I really believe that the soul of a startup is like a Phoenix, so I am very sure that great things are coming for you Simon. I send you a warm hug from Mexico.
Simon, impressive story and I learned a lot! I should have watched this video when I saw it in my notification the first time, because the struggle is real.
You did great, keep it up! I totally can relate Simon, being a solo founder is hard, still trying to manage it, but my startup is got stock rn on developing stage. Anyway great story, best of luck everyone
I think you did well as long as i can see but i also think it is not over yet (it is still your product) and that also raises me a question of when to get in touch with VCs i might be wrong but i think even in early stages it might be good doing that🤔
Sure. For us, it was accounting team to restructure our company structure, a team of lawyers, that helped with the negotiations, alot of paperwork and even protecting our black box, during the technical due diligence phase.
Thank you for sharing Simon, i'm building a B2B startup for small grocery store owners and i'm wondering if i should charge them when starting out P.S my compititor are doing it for free.
"Hi , I hope you're doing well. By the way, I have a question: Can I create an MVP (Minimal Viable Product) using no-code tools? Afterward, I plan to develop a website where users can interact with the MVP and fill out surveys for feedback. Is it possible to secure funding from angel investors with the MVP and user survey feedback?
You can certainly build that in No code, no doubt about it. Could you raise money from an angel on that, I'd say maybe. Depends on the the results and the angel.
Clearly there's market demand as he managed to get 10+ Customers, was it more a question of rushing the funding Referring back to your funding video, if the product is built and there are paying customers , I'm not understanding why the quick exit you could still market the market while staying in corporate, if the passion for the product is still there.
Great question. It wasn't an exit, but need for capital in a red ocean market. There are only a few strategies to fight in red ocean, and both need capital.
Corporate have it all wrong, the best Visionaries are just in your neighbor hood self taught man who probably never had a chance to Universities, bachelors etc. due to poor upbringings. The best minds are in the hunger for success not easy hand outs because of a Family Name, why do you think we have Fictitious, not to to protect ourselves but because of that same thought.
Dear Sir, I am writing to you from India to share my startup idea and to seek your advice on how to get funding. My startup idea is to create a platform that connects global investors and startups, including startups in India. I believe that this platform can help to solve the major problem of funding that startups face. My platform will be unique in that it will also allow small investors to invest in startups. This will make startup investing more accessible to everyone, not just the wealthy.. I am passionate about this startup idea because I believe that it has the potential to revolutionize the Indian startup ecosystem. By making it easier for startups to raise funding, we can help them to grow and create jobs. I am currently seeking funding to launch my startup. I would be grateful for any advice you can give me on how to raise funding, and I would be open to discussing my startup idea with you further.
