Scottie is built for the playoffs, there’s a few videos of his off season where his handling looks a lot more tighter which is great. But we need him to be the player he was in the first game against spurs, for the the whole season. Also need a deeper bench, we must stay optimistic, but cautious

I think the Pacers model can work where it's not a "big 3" model. yes, you still need an All-NBA player and maybe another All-Star level player, but building out your #3-8 players could be the move

We need to trade yak and tank one year. You have to. We need another Scottie level player. Then you have an amazing young core. Also I would do this deal we are hearing about. Yak for number 9 + zaire Williams and filler. With 9 / 19 and 31 we will be adding good depth. Then we tank / develop the young players. And aim to add another top ten pick next year. You can’t rush this thing. You need to do it right.

Scottie can definitely be all nba but being an all nba guy and being A GUY in the league is a whole different thing. He can definitely be a great number two guy. He’s a jack of all trades but master of none. Best comparison I have for him is Shawn Marion and he was a beast in his prime.

One of the ways to help with the 2 way player with a bit of risk is trade: Bruce B + Chris B + 2027 second round = Andrew Wiggins + Moses Moody + GSW 2027 first top 4 protected. We would have to hope for some bounce back from AW but if some home cooking helps him he is only 29 and most wings their prime is 28-33. Moses has not had good run with GSW but has the tools to be solid backup SG with some good defense and length 7-1 wingspan. This helps GSW as they would get more consistent play from Brown and Chris helps their big depth. GSW pay slightly more this one year and if relationship goes well could likely sign Brown for less next year. Same for Chris B so their long money would decrease while still getting very good depth role players. GSW system and role clarity likely help both players be more efficient. Raptors get younger in total and help fill roles better for team. This lets team focus on Backup PG and Big in draft and FA while letting GTJ walk.

Need a star level player to pair up with Scottie first to even have a conversation about playoff run or even championship run

Perfect draft. Buzelis or cody Williams at 9 (maybe Ron holland if he’s there) Length / overall ability from all those players. On both ends of the floor. Then at 19 you take your big. K ware / yves Messi / Tyler smith / Kyle fil Then at 31 it’s defensive wing. Ryan Dunn has all defensive nba chops right out of the gate. His shot is crap. But in transition he is deadly and on d to. I would also be ok with Keyshawn George at 31

Scortie isn't an all NBA player. Nothing wrong with that, he's a very good player who can really help your team win, but he's not a superstar level player. He lacks shot creaion and shot making abilities to reach that level. I fully agree that the Raps need to focus on talent upgrades, not trying to bring in support players to surround Barnes.
