Jamal Shead is the guy I’m looking at this season. Ulrich hopefully in a year or 2 but for it’s gotta be Jamal, he’s got great hustle and I love that we draft/acquired guys that can play defense, finally getting back to that core principle
I’m excited for all of them, but the hustle from Jamal Shead, damn, I’m hella rooting for him! He looks hungry for minutes! I really want him to turn his stats around and be knocking 3s like Lillard. He reminds me of Kyle Lowry and Damian Lillard.

Jamal Shead reminds me of former Raptor great guard Kyle Lowry and they are about the same height. There's a heck of a lot to like about this kid and his game changing energy, fast hustle and determination. If he can work hard and improve his 3-pointer, he will be a big success.
Finally an emphasis on defence. Additionally, we seem to now understand that 3-pt shooting is critical if we want to win. Couple the two, and I’m pumped to see the season start. I expect us to take baby steps at first, but I firmly believe that top notch defence will cover a multitude of sins, and that by season’s end, we’ll know exact what we have, and what else we need to reclaim our place atop the East. Go Raptors Go
I'm really excited for Chomche. Back at the beginning of the college season when early mock drafts were intrigued by his age and had him as high as the mid-teens he jumped on my radar because he was coming from the NBA Academy in Africa. It really just screamed like an Ujiri pick from the get go, so I had him pegged as a Raptor from then. I was a little disheartened when we didn't get him at 45 with the pick we got from SAC, but with the late draft night news that the Raps were acquiring the 57th from MEM to draft Chomche I got hyped. Do I think he'll be a contributor anytime soon? No, but I love watching development projects with the Raptors and I'm excited to see how he develops his game.
It's funny but also nice to see they reacted to the comments on earlier videos about music choice. Not only that but the editing is legit too, so nice one
Thanks for the video it was great! I’m excited for all these prospects and if all of them can development and get any amount of playing time with the Raptors then the future is bright in Toronto. All very solid picks for maybe the first time in Raptors history.
Excited to see Brandon Carlson, I think the other rookies are undersized and don't shoot well. Plus the Raps need a good 7footer if Jak goes down again. Or, he can play on the opposite side of Jak and learn to be a mini Dirk. BTW, appreciate the video being around 10 mins.
I am going to pick 2 guys, Mogbo and Carlson. I think both of these players could impactful by the end of the year. I would like to see Carlson on the wing. Other twams have played two bigs on the floor qnd it was very successful. I agree with you Mogbo could be Scott's backup by the end of the year. I am not keen on small guys that can't shoot. Sound like trouble to me.
It's great that we restocked the pipeline! Comche is going to be a steal if he pans out. Can't wait to see how a super raw prospects develop in our program.
So this year's draftee are either explosive offense with JW or defensive playmaker like JM. Both need to work on their 3s but maybe it will work out given we rely most of our offense to BBQ and Grady. Also, hopefully Mitchell will work out like FVV as back up PG. Thats a W for me.
Ngl excited about them all but Brandon Carlson reminds me of Lauri Markkanen and would definitely fit the rotation as a 7ft wing who can space the floor
Having said that about small guys because the Raptors looked so unsized last year it was trouble and bothered me. Again having said that about small guys I hope Darko works with Davion Mitchell and turns him into a hell of a back up PG while teaching Shead how to shoot 3's . Good luck to them. Davion Mitchell deserved a second chance based on his defense.
Mogbo developing a 3 pointer will allow him to play wing in a giant lineup. Personally would think it would be a mistake to limit his position based on skillset. Adding a consistent 3 pointer is just going to add versatility to any lineup he plays in.
Mogbo was a steal, will be a super role player in the NBA almost guaranteed. Although there is no star upside given his scoring touch is absolutely terrible. Shead is wild card. He will either be like an early career Kyle Lowry (remember Lowry entered the league not being able to shoot at all) or he will be too small to stick in the league. However Ja'Kobe Walter doesn't look like an NBA player. Never met a shot he didn't like but can't shoot nearly as well as he thinks he can. Cannot see a pass to save his life and has as much dribbling ability as Gary Trent. Doesn't dribble, pass or defend much better than Grady Dick but not nearly as good as a shooter. This guy should have been a hard pass. The pick should have been spent on Yives Missi if going for the sure thing and Tyler Smith if swinging for the fences. Chomche is a complete unknow that one might as well take a flyer on. Raps certainly won't miss 1 million dollars. Carlson is simply another 905 lifer.
Play Mogbo and Carlson on second unit together and problems solved ... Mogbo can box out and rebound at both ends and Carlson can space on offence and collapse to block on defence
I think Ja'Kobe will take a couple years to develop his body but he has a chance to be something really good once he gets his body up to the NBA standard
If these 7 footers can play their ass off to get into the rotation that would be awesome. Because we are in Victor Wembanyama we need bigs to be able to stop this beast!!!!!!!
Mogbo can shoot the 3, His tole on college teams didn't allow him to. He is not a sniper, though he will be a lot better then a lot of poor reseachering youtubers think.
the look on Ja'kobe's face when he found out where he was drafted,,,,,,,, : < does not bode well for his psyche... and Mogbo looks like he's gonna he's vacationing here. Shead is too small. I wish something could come out of Carlson! We'll see what they look like in summer league
I don't mean to complain, just some hopefully constructive criticism, but can we drop the background music? I put this on to hear you talk about the Raptors, not for dance club vibes. I like death metal. If I made Raptors content, I wouldn't make everyone also listen to death metal at the same time. That's dumb. Just sayin'.
@@MedicinalBlood He doesn't fit the team at all. We're over-stacked in the guard position. He's taking up minutes for rookie development. He's way overpaid, taking up our cap space. The more we play him, the less value he'll have. Get rid of him asap to try to get as much back as possible, which isn't much at this point (gotta squeeze every last bit of value from that horrible Siakam trade)
Mogbo makes no sense to me. He is undersized as a 5 and cant shoot. Best case is he becomes Draymond (unlikely) seems much more likely he never sees a second contract in the NBA.
