I don't know, Jay... I'm getting Aaron Rodgers flashbacks looking at your buddy! Maybe we need to give him a wig to wear in your videos to prevent future anxiety! 😂 As far as the playoffs go, there is always a chance! Go Lions!!!
Realism: 1 playoff win. 2 if the matchups fall our way. 1st rd flameout is possible but I think unlikely. NFC Champ game would be overachieving but not too far out. Making it to, or even winning, the SB is of course not impossible. If we play A/A- every game it's possible. Some teams are definitely better than we are but if play great and catch say SF, DAL, PHI, BAL, etc teams like on a C+ day sure.
If everything is firing on all cylinders then they can actually win the SuperBowl. However, it's a lot to expect the offense, defense, special teams, and coaching to put together 2 months of near perfect play. The realistic scenario is we should win at least 1 playoff game for sure, anything less is a disappointment and winning 2 should be the expectation but I wouldn't be shocked if they didn't win 2. So really NFC championship game is our ceiling.
I feel like realistically the divisional round is our ceiling. Depending on if we match up with Seattle or not in the Wild Card. I just don’t trust our defense enough namely our pass defense which is our Achilles heel and in the divisional round we would most likely face off against the loser of the NFC East and I’m more confident in facing Dallas than Philly because Hurts is more of a running threat and the game would most likely be in the elements(Goff has consistently struggled in those his time here) and how do we cover all the weapons
I would love if we played Seattle. I think SEA has been playing much worse lately and I remember after that game the players were saying they felt like they escaped Detroit with a win and were glad the game was over. I think we have a big mental advantage over them, especially that they can't just pick on Jerry Jacobs like they did the entire game earlier in the season. The team I'm scared of is the Rams, not because they're a better team because they're not, but it's such a Lions move to lost to Stafford and have his only playoff win in Detroit to be as a visitor.
